Vacation rentals with breakfast in Lao Cai

Everything was perfect by Trung's homestay : the room was clean ; we were cold, he gave us an extra blanket (and there's a heating lamp next to the shower => useful in winter!) ; we wanted to make a one-day trek, he organized it ; finally our bus to hanoï was cancelled, he called the local bus to Lao Cai so the driver would wait for us, this way we could catch another bus to hanoï. I recommend this homestay strongly and going to Bac Ha is definitely not a waste of time!

Super great homestay located in nature and away from hustle and bustle. There you just have a relaxing atmosphere. Phan is super sweet and helpful. Everything is clean and nicely prepared.

A beautifully curated and cozy space sitting a top a spectacular view of the mountains!! You can watch a breath taking sunset literally from your bed or out on the deck with the dogs or from the dining area enjoying a dinner made fresh. Our host, Jack, was a perfect resource for everything. Super friendly & available all the time which was really useful. It’s a 25 min ride from town, so it is not the most convenient if that’s where you’re looking to primarily be BUT if you’re looking for a quiet & unique, intentionally designed atmosphere to enjoy while visiting this amazing region, I highly encourage this stay! Also AC & warm water work very well.

The stay is away from the tourist area, at a quite place, with a great view. The waterfall and bamboo forest are nearby, and you live very close to the homes of villagers which is a unique experience in itself. If you want peace, enjoy nature and experience rural life with a great view of mountains and rice fields, this is the perfect stay for you.

Great location, good communication. We arrived early in the morning and check in instructions were clear. We requested breakfast one morning and it was yummy and well priced (35k each). Would definitely recommend.

I had a wonderful stay at Rock Garden Homestay in Sapa! Even though the weather was cloudy and I couldn’t see the mountain views, the peaceful atmosphere and the warm hospitality of the hosts made it a memorable experience. The homestay itself is charming and cozy, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ensuring I felt at home. They prepared delicious meals that were perfect for the chilly weather, and their kindness truly brightened my trip. While I missed the famous mountain views due to the clouds, the serene surroundings and cool mist added a unique charm to the experience. It felt like being in a quiet, hidden retreat far away from the busy world. I highly recommend Rock Garden Homestay for anyone visiting Sapa. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature, even if the weather isn’t perfect. I hope to come back someday and catch those stunning views!

Very responsive host and place was clean and comfortable. The location is also near toh the sunworld plaza and other attraction in sapa. All in all it was a nice stay at Minh's.

From the very start they are very helpful to us as they were very responsive to us. the listing was exactly the same, it was clean and the view was amazing. They even have free water, foods and heater which is very helpful to us during cold nights. After checkout the staff/owner(not sure) even gave us a souvenir. Overall, I would definitely recommend them! Thanks guys!

We really enjoyed Mama Gia's hospitality! We almost felt as part of the family. The rooms are new and of nice bamboo material with a great view over the rice fields. We got great advice both before the travel as also for our further trip. They were really caring! But the thing we most enjoyed was the family dinner. We got a lot of interesting informations and probably the best food we had so far in Vietnam with rice from the family's own fields.

The food is very good.The atmosphere is warm.The receptionist is friendly and welcoming, but not overly enthusiastic.A great place to relax and enjoy the rest of the scenery with delicious food.Only the sound insulation is poor, and it will be a little fun if you encounter too lively children's groups.

We loved staying here. It’s nice and relaxing, a little bit more quiet than in the centre. The walk down was easy, about 15 minutes to the city centre. The communication was great, they have a laundry service, a nice breakfast and they even helped us with our dirty shoes after a hike. Note: the bath and shower take 20 minutes after you put the key in the energyslot, to warm up. Don’t make the same mistake as us haha.

Where to start! We had the privilege of staying with Ashoua and his family, who welcomed us into their home and treated us as if we were family. The room was beautiful, it had great decoration, a clean bathroom, and a beautiful view of the rice fields and mountains. We also ate with Ashoua and his family each night, Zoua was an incredible cook - it was definitely some of the best food we have eaten in Vietnam. Not only is Zoua a brilliant cook but also makes great bags, wall hangs and much more. This meant we were able to get some great souvenirs/keepsakes. On our second day we went on a hike with Ashoua sister which we would definitely recommend, you get great views of the rice fields even if it is cloudy. We also did a beeswax painting workshop with Ashoua’s mother, which was so much fun and such a good keepsake! We enjoyed playing with the kids and their english is amazing, they even helped us learn some Hmong! We would 100% recommend.

Hoang's place was great. Everything is perfect: price, location, atmosphere, staff. You can reach to most common trekking routes from his house. It's good to locate the accommodation in google map under the name "Chom homestay", though its name board is "Upland homestay" when you get to it, just fyi :) Everyone here was super helpful. I felt at home. Recommended!

Upon check in we got upgraded to hotel rooms, booked for four of us and were put into two rooms with two double beds in each room, bathroom was well stocked with great amenities as well as being clean and always having hot water. Beds were comfortable and the room had a TV with everything loaded onto it. Our room also had a balcony! 10/10 recommend. Also walkable to the town of sapa with restaurants next door.
