I am very grateful Micheal opened his home for others to stay, especially in this area, at this cost, and for the space he provides. His place is private, easy to access, and is cleaned often. Michael has always been accommodating and open to chatting or leaving you alone. I have always felt safe and knew that if I ever needed anything, he would do his best to do what he could to help. The yard is always well kept, snow plowed, and steps cleared and salted. I would recommend his place and enjoyed my stay here.

What a peaceful and relaxing weekend we had at Ruby View. Jennifer’s pre visit contact and in weekend communication was top notch. The cottage was exactly as described and more. The cottage was beautifully appointed with so many thoughtful considerations inside from a kitchen thoroughly stocked with an appliance or tool for every need, comfortable towels, pillows and bedding and well positioned outdoor furniture and toys exactly where you’d want them. I found myself saying “we need to do this at our place” all weekend long. The beautiful sunsets and quiet bay suited our taste to a tee. If we’re ever in the area again we would love to come back. Thanks again for a lovely stay!

This is the perfect place for the rejuvenation of body, soul and spirit. The cottage is incredibly well equipped. Morning coffee at the water's edge, looking down the expanse of the lake simply can't be beat. This place isn't a gem - it's a 5-carat diamond.

The cottage is located on a lovely bay - very close to the lakeside. It is very peaceful- listening to the call of the loons. Thank you very much to our friendly host for a great stay. The kitchen is very well equipped, with condiments, pots and pans, etc - nice barbecue on the deck.

This cottage is just a perfect place to relax and enjoy the outdoors and the nature. The cottage is superb with a huge deck looking onto the lake with lots of room to comfortably dine outdoors, extra fridge in the shed for all the drinks, a fire pit just in front of the lake and many water toys to enjoy the lake. By the way the lake is very quite, clean, and is ideal for swimming. The cottage had everything you would need for a comfortable stay - it is fully equipped as described in the listing. The 5 bedrooms on the second level are super cozy with comfortable mattresses and plenty of pillows and extra blankets. The hosts were very nice, accommodating and very responsive to all of our inquiries. Overall, our family had a perfect stay and we wish we could have stayed longer, but hopefully we will come back again!

We really enjoyed our extended stay here this winter. The cottage is much larger than we expected with two full bathrooms and two large bedrooms that are nicely separated, with a large kitchen space. The pool table provided extra fun for family and friends on cold snowy days. The views out to the river are lovely (even in the winter). The property was very quiet and private making for a relaxing and peaceful escape. The hosts were great to deal with, responded quickly and resolved any issues we had. Merrickville is a short drive away and a great spot to run for lunch or a few groceries. Highly recommend this property!

Rented for a Girls Getaway for 3. Just as described and depicted in photos. On a dead-end street, Home was very clean and spacious with tons of natural light. Lovely furnishings. Beds so comfortable! Kitchen had everything needed. Close to Perth for shopping and restaurants. 10 mins to Murphy’s Point for XC skiing. Excellent communication from Candice. Highly recommend!

Beautiful spot on the water, with a perfect little area for the kids to wade into the lake. A dock for fishing, kayaks, and paddle boards. I love that there were kids size life jackets, made me much more comfortable with the kids playing in the water. Very cozy cottage and had everything we needed. I look forward to booking it again :)

My son and I rented a place last year from Alison that set the tone really high for any future air b&b experiences and despite that one being an absolute blast we somehow were treated to an even more amazing experience at The Treehouse Cabin! This had everything we could have asked for, children's playstructure, fire pit, hot tub, hammock and chairs, outdoor seating, a gorgeous view of the water that we even managed to go swimming in despite it being early May. Awesome right? We haven't even touched on the interior. The cottage has the sort of charm that only these two could put on. Beautiful interior, Alison's best pillows,throw blankets, comfortable seating etc. Not to mention the fantastic carrot cake that I had been hoping for since last years rental! The master bedroom was about as relaxing a sleep as one could hope for and the cottage had everything one could possibly need. Before leaving we booked the cottage again! Thanks for giving us memories that will last forever!

Absolutely perfect stay! The house was spotless, with comfortable beds and a warm, welcoming atmosphere (including fresh cookies for all of us). The kitchen was spacious and incredibly well-stocked. Everything we needed was there, which made cooking and cleanup easy and stress-free. The kids loved the board games and toys, and we all appreciated the vast backyard and private lake access. There were plenty of SUPs, kayaks, life vests, a sauna, and sun beds—everything you could hope for in a lakeside getaway. The host was incredibly kind, generous, and responsive, even offering us a late checkout. We've stayed at many Airbnbs, and this was truly one of the best-thoughtful touches everywhere and a sense of real hospitality. The friendly dog roaming the yard made it feel even more homey. We were three families with children and had a fantastic time. Highly recommend and would love to return!

Kristine is really nice host, she instructed us so well about the things. The white folder was nice touch as it has all the places listed around to visit and the places we can go for food or order take out. The place is really beautiful and clean, also suitable for toddlers to play around. She was really responsive and helpful with the questions we had. We will recommend this place to all.

More than we could have asked for! Very responsive and gracious host! Perfect place for our family. The best vacation house we have ever frequented. Airy, peaceful, crystal clear lake, plenty of towels, water toys, and kitchen was very well stocked and included any type of tool or spice you might need.

We stayed at this beautiful lakehouse over the May long weekend and had an amazing time! The home is spacious, stylish, and very well-equipped — exactly as described. The access to the lake was great, with equipment to kayak and paddleboard. There's tons of fun activities you can do with family and friends! The only downside was that the pool hadn’t been cleaned long enough in advance, so it wasn’t clear during our stay. We understand it can be tough to time with the seasonal transition, and Trish and her husband were very kind and responsive about it. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful lakeside getaway!

My extended family and I spent the weekend at Forest's cottage for a family reunion and it was wonderful! The weather was terrible (for the majority of the time) but the cottage was so spacious and there was so much to do in the cottage itself, it didn't feel like we were missing out on the outdoors. There was something for everyone, from board games, to the tables in the basement, to the fishing and the play structure outside when the weather cooperated!! The house was also incredibly clean and lakefront view couldn't have been better - it really was worth the money! Forest was incredibly responsive and helpful leading up to the trip. Overall, this was a great trip! My family is already hoping to come back next year!
