Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Lakehills

This was our second stay at Carey's place. The house is beautiful, clean, and comfortable and has everything you need for a wonderful stay. The kitchen is open and functional. The living area is spacious and open. We especially enjoy the back porch and natural, quiet surroundings. The quiet, dark bedroom makes it easy to relax and get a good night's sleep. We love this location and would definitely stay again.

We have stayed here before about a year and a half ago. We needed a weekend getaway. This the perfect serene location. Always very clean, linens and towels are soft and comfy. The mattresses are amazing. Very close to San Antonio to get out and about if you so choose.

Lois’ home was just as described and perfect for what we needed. She was helpful, gave us great recommendations, and communicated well. We would definitely stay again!

I came on a mini getaway with family and love how beautiful and private this place was! We really enjoyed the amenities, the deck, their dogs and how beautiful the surroundings were! When we come back we’d love to stay here again!

Amazing hill country retreat! Our family stayed there for 3 nights and had the best time. The property is gorgeous and has an on-site “fishing hole” and donkeys and ducks. It’s basically paradise for any family with kids or who enjoys nature and animals. The space itself is modern and well-equipped. Thoughtful and kind hosts that pay attention to details (complimentary wine bottle and chocolates were provided along with some food for ducks and donkeys). This is an incredible value that is unrivaled in the area!

My family and I were in town for just one night and this place was perfect. I had a couple of questions before check-in and their communication was immediate. We had a great time and I would definitely consider booking this place again.

Very nice place in a good location close to downtown and the air force base. Very spacious family room with plenty of outside space. Truly enjoyed our stay!!

My friend and I had a wonderful stay at Oliva's! Cute little space and I loved the common area/patio for people to hang out in and chill amongst the plants. Clean, spacious, comfy bed and bedding! Also many things within walking distance. It was a treat to get to visit a little bit with Oliva and her friendly neighbor! I'd definitely recommend staying with Oliva, and I would love to come back and stay again the next time I'm in San Antonio! Thank you again Oliva!❤️🌞

Susanne went above and beyond to accommodate my husband and I on a very short notice. The bungalow is a perfect stay for two, located few minutes from the Pearl area in San Antonio. We received a warm welcome with baked goods she prepared for us. Susanne literally will make you a better person while staying at her place. From the chicken coop to the recycling instructions she shows to care for not only her guests, but Mother Earth! We truly enjoyed our stay! Gracias Susanne! Book it yall.

Our stay was so peaceful and pleasant! The homemade Greek cookies were the icing on the cake! Short drive to downtown, minimal street traffic and the cowboy tub was the perfect temp for an evening hangout! Will stay again!

We loved staying here on our family trip to San Antonio- it was perfect for our family- an 8 year old and toddler. The closet with pack and play was great to have and we loved being so close to the pool. The place itself is so close to all the sightseeing things- less than ten minutes from downtown/riverwalk. It had eveyrhting we needed in kitchen and bathroom and loved having the washer/dryer! Instructions and communication were superb!

My husband and I enjoyed our anniversary and Easter at this beautiful property! We loved that it was secluded and we were able to enjoy sitting on the back porch and watch deer. One of the special treats…They provide farm fresh eggs, Coke, Coke Zero, hot tea, and coffee. Additionally biscuits & o.j. (When you let them know)! There was a storm that came in and we felt safe, never lost power, and they checked on us to make sure we were ok! We were not focused on tv time or our phones, but internet is limited. The location is secluded, which is exactly what we were looking for. There are games and a dvd player with movies, and books too! The drive is absolutely gorgeous, but it does take about 25-30 minutes to get to Fredericksburg. Which was perfectly fine with us to enjoy time together! The time we spent at the cabin was perfect! You’ll definitely want to grab your bags and reserve your stay now!

A beautiful location with views across the valley and sun rise. The host was available at anytime, and was quick to respond to any questions. Very comfortable setting with great air conditioning during our Summer visit. I would recommend this place to anyone. He serves a fantastic breakfast everyday.

Great place! This is exactly the perfect spot if you wanted to get away and did not have any plans. It was very peaceful. The trail was empty when we arrived but had a lot of water the next day. There was a hot tub that was available and it was wonderful. Sean and Ren were great hosts.

Dates: May 24th-June 9th Views/Environment: Spectacular views! Secluded. Peaceful. Stargazing while in the hot tub. Nature walk/hiking/outdoors. Picture perfect! Cabin: Spacious! Great layout. Comfy bed! Great amenities and well stocked with pots and pans, dinnerware, and grill stuff. Bathrooms are great and complete with bath towels and hot tub towels. Wifi available. Host: Spencer is a great host! I originally rented the cabin for 4 days but then i kept extending it and Spencer was easy to work with! I ended up staying from May 24th-June 9th. Location: The cabin was my home base. From there, we went to places like New Braunfels, Boerne, Kerrville, Frio River, Bandera, and other great places nearby. The bars in Bandera are awesome!!! We met a lot of people and I enjoyed the place so much. Check-in/Check-out: Super easy! No hassle. I highly recommend this place, 10/10! Looking forward to my next visit to Texas!

The ranch was amazing. The animals were free roaming and visited our cabin often. Our family had an absolute blast feeding and petting them. This was an amazing experience and we have already booked our return trip. Myra took us around the ranch to make sure we were able to see all of the animals up close. If you are an animal lover I highly recommend. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Close to town but very private area. Host was so friendly and responsive.

In all my years of staying in really beautiful places all over the country, this perfect little cabin on the Medina River is maybe my favorite. I stayed for three nights and almost couldn't bear to leave. Even my dog was depressed when I started packing. The cabin is thoughtfully appointed--love all the 1950s, Wes Anderson-esque touches, including the record player, used books, puzzles, and games--but it's also comfortable, clean, quaint, and simple. The screened porch is where you will want to live, especially if you love delighting in the constant stream of hummingbirds. That is, when you're not enjoying every inch of the gorgeous surroundings. My dog and I spent many hours hiking the greenbelt, swimming in the sparkling river, sitting with the fireflies at dusk, meeting friendly neighbors (though you'll find mostly wonderful solitude), and photographing the butterflies, frogs, turtles, and birds. It's a true gem of a getaway, and I can't wait to return.

we loved it! it was secluded and gorgeous. your host went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and knew about our surroundings. she even checked in on us which I really appreciated. im hoping to go there every year for our anniversary

we discussed over the phone that our reason for visiting was to get away for my sons birthday and they remembered that. They checked on us every day. They were very good host.
