Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Lake Victoria

The solar house very quickly became our second home over the 7 months we stayed there. We were beyond thankful for Damian, Anna, and their precious children who were extremely kind, helpful, available and attentive. The solar house is an ideal location for families. Our two young children loved the home and the compound and it was within walking distance of their school. The solar house is a bright and welcoming home - and it has smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detector which are nearly non-existent in Mwanza! We highly recommend this house for short or long term stays. We hope very much to be back! Asante sana Damian, Sam & Ina!

Ashraf's place is as displayed. Very clean and comfortable. The host was kind to let me checkin early and there was care taker on stand by to help with anything. Definately a rebook when in Kampala next.

Hakim was a wonderful host incredibly kind, welcoming, and always making sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. He truly made us feel at home. A special thank you as well to Prince, whose constant smile and friendly attitude made everything even better. He was always ready to help. December 2924 I had a warm and beautiful stay at the Exquisite. It is exquisite indeed! Very spacious, and you have a beautiful view of Lake Victoria. Phelyx has outstanding security measures. Not far from the Airport thus made trips to and from the airport easier since I had to go back Mombasa as well. I felt very safe at the Exquisite. Phelyx and his Caretaker Christiano were very attentive and responded swiftly whenever I needed anything. He has a boda boda guy that can do grocery shopping for you as well. That was very convenient 👍🏾 I miss the fresh mangoes already 😃 Thank you Phelyx and look forward to booking with you again. Happy New Year to you and your family 🎉

Our experience was absolutely fantastic, and I cannot thank the Musiimentas enough for being such incredible hosts. They stayed in touch throughout our visit, frequently checking in to ensure we were comfortable and accommodating any needs we had with great flexibility. Their hospitality truly enhanced our stay. The property was beyond perfect for our group. It effortlessly accommodated all seven of us, providing ample rooms and parking space. Additionally, the location was ideal. We found ourselves conveniently close to city attractions while enjoying the safety and tranquility of the area. Overall, we had an amazing time and would highly recommend The Mbuya Residence to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway. Thank you once again for everything!

LOVED it so much we came back! I booked it last minute on the day as we had to check out of a different AirBnB a day early due to a power cut and no alternatives however Mbabazi was very quick to respond and truly saved the day by letting us stay at his lovely home with such short notice. Much appreciated and we’ll definitely be back again in the future 🙌🏾😁

Everything perfect, clean and tidy house, well furnished, excellent hot water, there is security at the gate and a lady who manages the cleaning. Also had very fast laundry service. The lady referred me to a trusted driver and restaurants. Only negative note, there was no soap in the house but I had been told in advance. There is a mosque nearby that makes the call to prayer very noisy at night and many dogs barking, but obviously the host can't do anything about it and in Uganda they are common things.

Stuart’s place is lovely, well appointed and in a quiet neighborhood. It was suitable for me as I was on a work trip and could get just about anywhere by uber or Faras. It’s very close to shops and restaurants and you can also have food delivered. Stuart is very responsive. I will be back and I highly recommend his house

The place is private, peaceful and relaxing. Angie is very communicative and always makes you feel at home. The care taker is responsive as well the whole experience is indeed home away from home. Looking forward to coming back soon.

I really wouldn’t review because I would want to keep it a secret, but the place is great. I believe I also got a discount from the normal rate. I had to switch Airbnb locations in the middle of the night and it went smoothly and quickly.

Our stay with Janat was amazing! It was a bit tricky to find as the building itself is not labelled however we were able to communicate with Janat and she was very helpful and quick to respond. The apartment was beautiful and clean. Amenities worked such as hot water, wifi, washer, fridge etc. the building is gated with a gateman watching over. 5/5 stars! Thank you Janat for all your fast responses and willingness to help out where needed. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

I've stayed by Iris's place for over a month, and had a wonderful stay. The unit was very clean, equipped with everything you may possibly need, very conveniently located; well established communication with the host. Highly recommended!

Very nice apartment what you see in the pictures is what you find and Carlos was very responsive , I had a nice stay during my trip. I hope to come back for the next trip in September if all goes well.

It was such a wonderful stay according to feedback from family, the place very spacious in a luxurious style, the location was top notch. The cleanliness was outstanding along with good communication from Jackline. I would recommend anyone to have taste of Jackline’s place because it brings satisfaction and very secure.

Ashley is the host you hardly forget about even after leaving her place -a beautiful human-. She ensured we had a pleasant stay at her place, welcoming us in person, ushering us into the apartment and providing recommendations on activities and restaurants to visit. She was proactive and always available to respond to our queries. The apartment looks same as in the pictures. The kitchen is well equipped and this really helped as we prefer to eat home cooked food. Everything was clean and neat. It will definitely be our choice next time we return to Kampala.

Clare's place is just what I needed in my search for a home away from home. It's easy to locate and is in an area near to all you could need in the form of amenities. She is very responsive and communicates promptly. I would definitely recommend her place and I look forward to being hosted again.

the neighborhood is perfect for a foreigner. the place is calm and well guarded. the 2 hosts are highly responsive and welcoming but also 0% intruisive during my stay. they were actively finding solution to any obstacle a foreign could encounter. I ll 100% be back.
