Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Lake Victoria

Twiga gets my highest recommendation, if you are visiting Kisumu as a lone traveller or with family and friends then Twiga is the perfect place to stay. Linda is a marvellous host, very knowledgeable and willing to assist with a quick response time to any questions. The rooms are very spacious and sparkling clean. There is food available all day. The location is great. There is a shop at the end of the road and you are just a short walk into the town centre. Twiga Staff, from the front desk to the kitchen, are extremely friendly and professional. I’ll definitely be back again.

Great place, had to book last minute and they were still able to accommodate me. Really nice lake view, breakfast and very friendly dogs. Probably the best behaved dogs I've ever met. They would not step foot inside the guest area, never barked. When both wanted to be petted at once they backed off to the grass and settled the matter by silent wrestling. Very cute.

Staying with Alison and David was a delight from beginning to end. We were very well taken care of in every way, from the wonderful fruit salads for breakfast to lovely evenings on the terrace with a stunning view of the sun setting over Victoria Lake. As birders we were also thrilled by the wealth of birds in their garden, or easily seen from it, getting some seventy species during our stay - a perfect introduction for us to African birds before going on a round-trip. David also arranged a great trip to Mabamba swamp for us, dropping us off and picking us up from the boat taking us to the swamp, where we then switched to a smaller canoe for navigating the swamp. Overall, Alison and David are the friendliest people imaginable, always going the extra mile for their guests. We couldn't recommend them more - this is the perfect place to stay in Entebbe, excellent value for money.

I was happy with my stay and the receptionist was really kind and checked on me every day. My room was clean but for sure is a normal standard room so dont expect a fancy place (toilet dived from my bed with a curtain). Next day she asked me if i wanted a bigger room for same price but I kept it because it was really clean. It was 15/20 mins from the city centre but around is full of tuk tuks (around 70 ksh) and boda boda (around 100-150 ksh). Near a supermarket and some shops. I reserved it late and they where super efficient. Highly recommended. Thank you

I had an awesome stay at Sheila’s place. It’s a secured place next to a busy street meaning it’s very easy to locate. Amazing check self check in.
