Lake Red Rock fishing vacation rentals

We stayed here for my son's wedding. Very peaceful, private, and comfortable. Husband saw otters in the pond while walking the dogs! Deer in the yard both mornings. Comfy beds and lots of games if you have time for that which we did not unfortunately. I would highly recommend staying here! It is a very short trip to The Hive wedding venue too! Thank you for a great stay!

This is the third time we have rented the house for our adult children during a visit and everything was perfect. We really appreciate how nice the house is and how well the hosts communicated with us each visit! By far one of the best rentals near the lake!

We really liked your house and above all it is very close to the church to which we belong and we would like that every time we travel there we can stay at your house

This is a beautiful home with all amenities as described. It’s a bit of a walk into town but otherwise fine. Love the fact Alexa everywhere which was useful for music and timings. We have 2 grown up kids, so 4 adults and 1 bathroom was a stretch at times. Mellisa answered my queries almost instantly. Thoroughly recommend a stay here !!

Our stay over Easter was wonderful. Abby was super helpful and always responded quickly. The home was as pictured. Very open space, which was great for our family to be able to socialize and play. We travel with a service dog. The fenced in backyard was wonderful! It was great to be able to let our Pup play when he wasn’t working. Abby even provided bags for clean up. There was plenty of space and plenty of parking. Being able to park in the garage was an added bonus, as it rained all week. We will stay here again when we are visiting family!

We enjoyed the stay very much. The house was cozy and perfect for our weekend stay. The location is great as well with so many things to do near by. We had a blast! Communications with Andrea was perfect! We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in town.

Will definitely use the resource next time.

Marcy was a phenomenal host! She was very responsive to any questions and took the initiative to check on us during our stay (via text). She was also very accommodating to our travel schedule. The home was just as advertised in a quite neighborhood and backs to a beautiful memorial greenway. It was well stocked with toiletries, no need to make late night runs to the store if you forgot toothpaste, deodorant, soap, or dental floss. This is the best rental in Ames and will definitely be back.

This was the perfect place for our family during our recent visit to Des Moines. The location was perfect for us and we loved how peaceful the “neighborhood” was and the huge yard for our young boys. The home was super clean and had everything we needed. Patricia was a fantastic host making us feel welcome and at home. We appreciated her communication with us- from instructions to providing age-appropriate toys for our young boys. We definitely recommend this place and look forward to staying here again.

House was clean and as described. We were in town for a wedding and just needed a place change and sleep for the night, this was just what we needed. Allowed us to check in an hour early, we were very grateful.

My wife and I stayed at Eily's place for a week, and it was well worth it. This spacious getaway retreat was just what we needed for both work and relaxation. It's a well-appointed, private escape that's just minutes from high-end restaurants in one direction and Saylorville Lake in the other. Floor-to-ceiling windows, HUGE plants, wood flooring, excellent design, and styling - this just felt like home away from home. We were able to relax by the fire and watch movies, utilize the standing desk for work, cook salmon and other great meals in the kitchen, have many great night's rest, and more. Eily was very courteous, responsive, and generous. We would rent from her again in a heartbeat. GREAT host. P.S. - We chose this place over any other options in Ames and Des Moines because it was just what we were looking for.

Heaths' place was a great property with convenience around the corner. The quiet subdivision with small park located in the back yard was great for the kids. Expansive floor plan with lots of sleeping arrangements. overall a perfect fit for our family visit.

This is exactly what we needed. We are teachers who had just finished conferences and had a 3 day weekend. We chose to unplug and relax by reading books, walking in the woods, and playing games. Ernie and Mindy’s cabin was the perfect remedy. We walked trails which will take you through the woods and give you the opportunity to see some wildlife- we saw 4 deer and had over 30 different birds on our bird app. I even walked down to the pond another time and brought a pole and caught 7 bass and a crappie in a short time. The pond is small but has some nice fish in it. The cabin is small- but perfect for our needs. This one is farthest from the house and has a nice fire pit to use if the weather cooperates. The jacuzzi tub was a nice way to relax. I highly recommend this cabin and Ernie and Mindy are so nice and easy to communicate with.

house was great! we were in town for my daughter's wedding and our whole family had room to get ready and visit at the house! loved it!

We had stayed here a couple of years ago for our daughter's birthday. This year we were thrilled to see it was available again! the only thing we were disappointed about was the construction of the boathouse which we weren't aware of until we got there. Otherwise it was a great overnight stay and will always recommend others to stay here!

We loved this cute little cabin and it had everything we needed! Chelsea & Jana were both very quick to respond to any questions we had. The cabin was very clean & it's in a private location just outside of town. We enjoyed the little snacks they left us plus coffee pods were also provided if needed. The bed was very comfortable, the shower worked great & it was nice to grill a couple of our own meals while we were there. We had a great time on our Rail Explorers ride-highly recommend. We also did some hiking at Ledges State park & enjoyed an Easter Brunch at All Saints Cafe. It was nice to just sit on the back deck & listen to all the birds. We had rain one day but there were plenty of apps on the tv to binge watch a show. Instructions were simple & it was easy to check in with the door code. We had a great stay for our anniversary getaway!

This was a terrific stay! Good location in downtown Des Moines, loved having private garage parking. Entry from inside garage - there is a 1/2 bath off the kitchen/family room. Bedrooms are large and all upstairs for privacy. Very nice bath attached to each with Master bath having double sinks! Large laundry room with full size washer/dryer. The private outdoor 3rd floor deck is a great space with a frig and sink up on that level. Nice outdoor furniture on the outdoor deck - Everything clean, clean, clean with very nice basic kitchen utensils, and equipment. My MIL suggested a bench or chair in the front bedroom so you don’t have to sit on the bed to put shoes on. At 99yo that was her only comment - did the stairs like a champ and appreciated the lights on the staircase. It was very comfortable to stay at this air b&b!
