Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Lake O' the Pines

Frog town is a quiet little piece of paradise! We had a busy week driving all over Texas, and our final stop was Frog Town. It was the perfect last stop offering total peace, quiet, and natural beauty. The cottage itself is even more adorable than the pictures show! It's spacious, nicely furnished, and has just the right amount of homey decor. There is truly not one thing we could have wanted that wasn't already provided. Brandi and Steven are very thoughtful hosts who want their guests to have an amazing experience, and we did! In addition to the comfy and cozy inside, we also spent lots of time on the front porch swings and on the deck. You cannot go wrong by choosing to stay at Frog Town! We spend over 50 nights a year traveling, so we stay in many places. This is truly one of the best!

Great location. Perfect for walking to shops and restaurants. Space was perfect as well. Would love to stay again in the future.

I've been wanting to visit Caddo Lake for some time now. I really just wanted to be among the moss covered cypress trees. Angela's house is perfect for this. I can't imagine a better back yard than this. We had the pond all to oursleves or at least it felt that way. We visited the state park and the main attraction there is the Saw Mill Pond. It is beautiful but I think the Paradise Pine pond, which is where this house is located, is better. The house is close to all the attractions. I recommend going over to the Johnson Ranch Marina for a boat tour, where you can see the actual Caddo lake and get some history of the area. Anyway, Angela's propery was a nice place to decompress and spend time with our family. The only thing I might have wished I would have brought with me was a kayak or paddle board. The back yard is perfect for it, at least in the cold while all the gaters were sleeping :)

Clean and beautiful home for our short stay in Gilmer! Plenty of room for all guests and comfortable beds. Would be happy to stay again!

Amazing cabin, we enjoyed our visit, only issue we had was it was a little hot upstairs, but that is to be expected in Texas! We loved watching the deer all day as well.

Such a great spot! Patricia’s guest house was comfortable and has access to an amazing pool designed by her mother. We even were given a tour of her private residence that is a tribute to the talent women in her family. Will return again

-Highly recommend- the house itself is a true one of a kind experience, where else can you stay in a replica of a French mansion? -Very quiet, picturesque setting but convenient to local stores/highway. -Unparalleled “service” by the house manager (even arranging to personally go pick up some toiletries that I forgot prior to my arrival) A true must stay place and top notch experience from start to finish.

Lisa's lake rental was exactly as described and so much more. The house is the prefect getaway in a quiet beautiful setting. Lisa is the perfect host and her house is decorated beautifully. We highly recommend staying here, it will not disappoint!

Our stay was very relaxing, just what was needed during spring break and a getaway from all the turmoil. There is adequate cell coverage (T-Mobile, allowed for calls when needed.) There is no seperate wi-fi service but that is a refreshing plus. There is Dish TV if you really have to tune in to the talking-heads telling us how bad things are. Or, you can relax, read by the river; bring a guitar 'n make music on deck or in a screened room. OH! Chalk paintings on the driveway! :) Fun stuff. Kayaks are also available. Tours of the bayou and lake available, we used Aaron of Mystic Tours and had a great time. Keith has the number available in a large binder that with history of the area (a very good read if you take the time, for instance: Steamboats used to ply the waters through to Jefferson). There is also a photo album of the house construction that is pretty cool to thumb through. It is about a 30 minute drive to historic Jefferson which is a nice day trip.

Christi’s home in Ore City was an absolute gem. It was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need—and then some. From the kitchen essentials to thoughtful little extras, it felt like a home away from home. The property itself is very private and incredibly peaceful, making it the perfect spot to relax and recharge. One of the standout features for us was the fish cleaning station —such a helpful addition for anyone enjoying the nearby lake. There was also plenty of room for all of our vehicles (we had three) and two boats, which made things so convenient. The kids were thrilled by all the friendly local dogs roaming around—it was such a fun and unexpected treat. David was absolutely wonderful to speak with—kind, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. Every bed in the house was comfortable, and we all slept great throughout our stay. Whether you’re coming to fish, unwind, or explore the area, this place has everything you need. Highly recommend and would definitely stay agai

We definitely enjoyed our stay at Angela's place. The home had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of closet space. Even though we did not do any cooking, the kitchen had everything needed, including many spices. Showers were great with plenty of pressure and definitely no lack of hot water; in fact, you have to be careful because the water can get super hot. It was a very quiet area and peaceful. We will definitely stay here again if we are ever back in the area.

I have used AirBnB around the world but I believe Donna may be the most generous host I've ever had. Not only is her space clean and private with all the usual accommodations, but she also has every kind of tea and coffee, little snacks, plush throws, tables to eat and write on, and even bath crystals for a foot soak. in addition, she offers a free breakfast! I got the avocado toast and it was like a little gourmet meal! She also responded almost instantly every time I texted her. highly recommended this little suite!

The location was perfect and the accommodations were great! It was very clean and everything we needed.

We had a wonderful time stay here. We had 2 sons and their families with us. We loved the whole experience. The house is amazing, however we spent a lot of time on the deck or trying to fish. We definitely want to come back. Thank you so much.

We found Brandy's place to be relaxing and peaceful. Great view of the lake. Nice pier. Lots of comfortable outdoor seating. We had everything we needed for cooking meals. We were more than pleased to find a high chair, pack and play and baby gate. Master suite was very spacious. everything was neat and clean. More stairs than we anticipated. Overall great experience.
