Vacation rentals with a kayak in Lake Macquarie

This house is quite unique on the water side, the site is really convenient, 2-3 minutes walk to the station and shopping. You can sit on the deck and walk to the small jetty on the creek. You and your family or friends can sit on the deck and watch the water running down to Lake Macquarie, enjoying the tranquility, or eating your meal, or playing games. A good place for your holidays and relaxation. The Host- Wassim provided good services by communicating before and post entering the house. Also introducing to us the new and modern style of kitchen sink, we easily love the place to cook our own food. He even drove us to the nearby train station when we are in need. We will recommend it to our friends in the future.

Absolutely stunning property and location, perfect little staycation for my family. The kids were never short of things to do between the lake, pool, huge yard and board games, we loved every minute of being there. Ashay was helpful friendly and the perfect host. We can’t wait to go back

The treehouse is in such a tranquil and beautiful spot. Inside is very cosy and between the wood stove and gas heater it was toasty warm inside on cold evenings. The kitchen is very well set up with everything you could need for cooking and also a good selection of sauces, tea, coffee and staples. The treehouse has been very thoughtfully set up with nice touches like blankets on the balcony. Highly recommended for a relaxing place to get away close to Sydney..we thoroughly enjoyed it!!

We had the best time!!! We had a whole group of friends, children and dogs and the place was perfect!! They blew up a jumping castle for the kids. There was plenty of activities for the adults like table tennis, volleyball etc. The house had ample room for people to sleep and camp. Megan was so communicative and helpful. The kitchen was full of every piece of crockery and cutlery you needed! We loved it and would go back in a heart beat!!!

Nick was a fantastic host! The place was spotless, well-equipped with everything we needed, and in a perfect location—close to everything but still nice and quiet. Communication was super easy, and Nick was always quick to respond if we had any questions. We were even kindly offered an early check-in without request. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great stay!

Our holiday at Helen's lakeside property was absolutely fantastic! The location could not have been more perfect, right in front of a serene lake with picture-perfect scenery. The view from the property was breathtaking, providing the perfect backdrop for a relaxing and memorable stay. The spacious outdoor deck allowed us to fully enjoy the natural beauty around us, whether we were having meals, playing games, or simply soaking in the view. Inside, the house was just as impressive—spacious, immaculate, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was clear that Helen has taken great care in maintaining the property, and it made our family feel right at home. What made this holiday even more special was the fact that it was a multi-generational trip with our children and grandchildren. The house is in a great position at lake Macquarie with lots of fun to offer. The house and each bedroom were delightfully decorated to add enjoyment to the stay. It’s a wonderful experience we have had. On the down side I would say if beds could be more comfy with better mattress that would be good. Will appreciate if have more floor towels or mop since floor is wet with lots of water activities expected. Shame we have no bbq we could use but we understand the reason. The main couch is a big old and smelly otherwise the home and stay have been perfect.

Well appointed. So many items supplied in kitchen and bathrooms that I have not seen at any other AIRBNB. Easy access. Very clean and well stocked with cleaning items and supplies incase of an accident or spill so you clean up and continue to enjoy your stay. Location close to cafes and restaurants at Lemon Tree Passage. So many recreational items in shed to help you enjoy the coastal location and water ways. Julie took the time to reach out to us when we did not reply to emails as we were travelling and not opening our laptop and lodging in every day about dietary requirements re type of milk to put in fridge. In conclusion well done Julie you are a credit as a super host.

We had an amazing stay! The place was fantastic – clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. Kate was incredibly responsive and friendly, making everything super easy. The jetty was a highlight, with plenty of activities to keep us entertained. Highly recommend for a relaxing and fun getaway!

We had a lovely stay at this waterfront property. The views were stunning and the little touches, like a bottle of wine on arrival, were a nice addition. 4 days at Captains Cabin was so relaxing. We went kyacking around the island & to Lovetts. Fished off the jetty & caught so many different types of fish. Flathead, Snapper, Brim, Flounder, Whiting... Scotland Island is full of lovely alternate locals wandering by & wildlife.

We had great stay over at Alexander's. Great home and location.

2nd year here for her annual girls weekend absolutely perfect great location beautiful host and everything as described. Great price for a relaxing time.

We had a great long weekend stay at Anders' Great Mackeral Cabin. The cabin is a bit tricky to get to with small kids and a bit of luggage but it was an adventure and Anders was extremely helpful in making sure we were well prepared and had everything we needed. Once we were there the cabin had everything we needed and there was plenty to keep everyone entertained and relaxed. The views from the cabin are spectacular and we loved spending some time in the bush and down at the beach. We would definitely travel back to the cabin for another visit.

Excellent cabin in a lovely tranquil location. Great hosts with everything that you need in the cabin plus more, to have a relaxing time outside of the city. Great for fishing and beach walks, close to amentities if you need to stock up on food too.

Staying on the river was paradise. It was beautiful - especially from the deck! My only two suggestions is to share there is no wifi and that the beds are pushed up against a wall. Also, at least for us, there was no data connection. We were able to go into town and use the cafe wifi, but if we had seen in advance (there was a message about no wifi at the bottom of the description), we would have prepared better for working remotely. Also for older people, the beds only allow one person to get out and the other person has a wall they sleep along. Other than these two minor items that can be communicated in the description, the accommodation, the location and all of the extras are excellent. We enjoyed the bbq, the kayaks, the hammock and the firepit. Everything was comfortable and the a/c was helpful sleeping at night when there was a controlled burn. We definitely recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful stay at Astrid’s beautiful hideaway. With its spectacular river views and peaceful, secluded location, it was the ideal weekend escape from the city. Kayaking along the river was a scenic highlight, and cosying up at night by the wood fire made it even more special. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a romantic getaway nestled amongst nature.
