Guesthouse vacation rentals in Lake Macquarie

We had a beautiful time! We didn’t spend much time at the BnB since we were out exploring — it’s super close to everything! It has all the great facilities you’d need if you just wanted to stay in, including dinnerware, a cooktop, and a COFFEE MACHINE! The beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable, and everything was super clean, tidy, and spacious. Jennifer is so lovely and created an amazing stay for us!

Stayed for two nights with my partner. The property is located on a beautiful spot with vineyards, ponds, trees, and views of the surrounding valley. The welcome gift was very much appreciated. Would come back in a heartbeat! Thank you for hosting us!

Was greeted by Tracy on arrival. Tracy was great and informative. There’s a long narrow stairway down side of house to bottom of property where we stayed. May not be ideal for those who struggle to walk up and down flights of stairs but was no biggie for us! Clean and tidy Bedroom, Kitchen (with gas stove) and Bathroom/Laundry areas. Comfortable Lounge suite and outdoor lounging suite. There’s a slight clutter with furnitures in lounge/dining and outdoors but realised that the waterfront yard is not private unless Tracy has no guests on her other Airbnb listing which I was not aware of and that’s on me btw (for not reading up on it). BUT, once you see the water, the jetty and the wildlife in their elements, everything else are only minor things lol. Hubby caught some fish on the jetty but was unable to go out on boat due to wet and stormy weather. Nevertheless, all in all, it was a great time away from home and enjoyed our stay. Had an amazing stay at Medowie thanks to Tania! She was friendly and gave excellent local recommendations. The guest house had all the amenities and extras in the bathroom cupboards and kitchen pantry that you might need! The place was spotless and the pool was lovely. Tania was a fantastic host and great to chat to, thinking I might book in again later in the year just to enjoy the space and her hospitality again! Highly recommend to anyone thinking of going to this area.

The accommodation was so clean and tidy, with all the features as advertised. Very spacious and in a lovely, peaceful location.

Kerry is one of the most responsive hosts I have ever known. Thanks for all the help during the stay. The cottage was so nice and tidy, and my friends were so love with the big screen in the living room and outside born-fire setting. We had a wonderful short night at Kerry’s place. And its location was also so close to the hot ballooning place, around 25mins drive away. I will 10000% definitely recommend this to my friends when they wanna have a trip to hunter valley. Shout out to Kerry and her son!!!

We had a great stay at Robin’s cabin. It was very comfortable and in a great quiet location. Walking distance to the beach!! Robin was super friendly and helpful. We would definitely return!

Lisa opened her flat to my son and his partner. She was very helpful, open, and genuinely caring. I know they appreciate her immensely, and I could rest assured that they were comfortably enjoying their accommodations on the other side of the world. Very happy with our stay, the room was well set up with great outdoor spaces to relax. The space was filled with useful appliances and the Nintendo was a great addition. We would definitely stay again

We had a wonderful one-night stay at Britt's place! The location was perfect – close to great restaurants and attractions, yet situated in a peaceful neighborhood. The house was spotless and well-stocked with everything we needed. The thoughtful touch of leaving a packet of milk was much appreciated. Thanks, Britt, for your hospitality!

Our stay at Karen's property was fabulous, just the right peaceful mini break that we so needed. The whole property is beautiful, peaceful, and well looked after, you can even have a few shots of golf. We all loved the pool such a nice added Bonus, we were there every day after going to the beach (or even before some days haha), it's lovely at night with the lights. The guest house is exactly as per the photos in the ad, actually, it feels a bigger space than the photos. The kitchen is well stocked to do some cooking if needed. Our 8 yo boy loved spending time with Zoey (their dog), who is just gorgeous and has such a lovely nature, he also really enjoyed being in charge of feeding the chickens and checking for eggs :-). Karen and Richard are lovely hosts, super accommodating and friendly but also respectful of your privacy, the perfect balance. It was a lovely stay and we hope we can be back soon, our son has already asked when we can go back. Thanks again Karen and Richard :-)

Stopped in here for the night while travelling through, and it was such a lovely stay (I wish we stayed longer!). Great location, and the apartment was clean and beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed. Thank you!

We absolutely loved our stay here! It was the perfect getaway with plenty to explore while giving us a beautiful and clean space to retire to when we wanted to rest. The area is whitely tucked away with a number of cafes, beaches, and shop destinations within a short drive. As someone who is a bit of a clean freak I can absolutely testify that the space was spotless. I couldn’t recommend this villa higher whether you’re on your own, two people, or a couple with a baby (like us). We can’t wait to come and stay again — 12/10 stars!

The Nest was a beautiful and cosy little place to stay which was perfect for my Easter weekend getaway. It was convenient with the included parking spot, although it is slightly offroad. It was also walking distance to the restuarants in the area by accessing a flight of stairs near by. We recommend Joanne's place!

This was my first time in Hunter Valley and Jenny’s place was absolutely perfect! It’s very centrally located within 10 min drive from fabulous wineries and great dining places! The space itself is super nice, peaceful and quiet. It’s perfect for a nice little getaway. Has everything that you need! Jenny & David were super nice! They had very clear instructions sent proactively which made our check-in and check-out seamless. We did get to briefly meet them on site and they were super lovely! Highly recommend!

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Ella’s place is clean, comfortable, has all the amenities and is in easy walking distance to the beach. The hot tub is an added bonus and we both enjoyed during some cooler weather. Thanks Ella!

Loved Megan and Nick's apartment. Very clean and comfortable. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and pool. Sorry we didn't bring our swimmers. Highly recommend.

Jamie and Zoe are very thoughtful and responsive hosts. The place is a lovely getaway, a short walk to the beach and shops but in a quiet location. The house is equipped with everything you need and the outdoor plunge pool is a serene spot to relax. The shower is the best after a day at the beach or enjoying a coastal walk taking in the sights and sounds of the ocean. Highly recommend for a peaceful beach getaway. Wonderful and friendly hosts made the getaway even more enjoyable. Don’t hesitate to book this for your next getaway!

A fantastic place to stay for a few nights or even longer, Paul is such a great host. The home was exceptionally clean, the spa bath was absolutely delightful and his instructions are very very clear! The surroundings?! Beautiful and we felt right at home. I’ve already begun recommending Paul’s stay to all our friends.

Christina made us feel very welcome and the place was very private. peaceful and easy to find. Christina was an excellent host. Easy walk to Ettalong Beach and the amenities were exceptional. Highly recommend.

Loved my stay here! Elizabeth let me leave my stuff in the accommodation in the morning (hours before check in), left lovely snacks and everything you need for breakfast in the unit, and was very kind and helpful. Elizabeth also offered me a lift to the train station cause the rain was so heavy and brought my washing to me when it was finished in the dryer (through the pouring rain). The accommodation is so cosy and actually feels a lot bigger than the photos indicate. The location is amazing, you’re barely 200 m to the beach, the best coffee spots in town (my opinion as a previous local) and some of the best pubs/ restaurants. I’ve stayed in loads of Airbnb’s and Elizabeth has got to be the kindest nicest host I’ve ever had.
