Vacation rentals with a hot tub in Lake Lyndon B. Johnson

We brought the whole family and had a very nice stay. The property is beautiful, relaxing, and quiet. We didn’t have the pool heated, but the double wide hot tub was excellent. We enjoyed the grill and outdoor space, and used the fire pit every night. The house is private, but not far from anything you could need, restaurants and an HEB are 15 minutes away. There were a few maintenance issues that came up the first day, but the team were very responsive to my texts, and Joe the caretaker was very friendly and totally solved our issues. The only quirk I want to mention is the queen bedroom with the metal door can only be accessed by walking through one of the bunk rooms. It didn’t turn in to a huge issue, but it was a surprise based on the description. Perhaps I didn’t read it clearly enough. Also, that metal door couldn’t be fully pulled closed from the outside (in the bunk room). So when people were sleeping in either room and I left the queen room, I couldn’t maintain privacy.

We stayed at Matt & Jen's Place at Horseshoe Bay while in town for our son’s wedding, and it was everything we hoped for and more. What a lovely, fun home! There was plenty of space for our entire family, and the variety of games kept everyone entertained throughout the stay. One of the highlights was having a well-equipped kitchen — it had everything my husband needed to bake our son’s wedding cake, which made the experience even more special. The home was comfortable, clean, and truly felt like a retreat where we could relax and enjoy being together during such a meaningful time. If you're looking for a spacious, inviting place to host family or friends, this is it. We are so grateful we found it and would absolutely recommend staying here!

Lake House vibes! Nice, clean home. Great location with Lake LBJ across the street and access a short walk down the street. Bunkhouse is great for the kids. Huge backyard to let our 2 dogs run around - just be careful if your dogs are smaller as there are some gaps under the fence they can crawl under due to the slope of the backyard. Host checked in and was quick to respond.

We were so comfortable, plenty of space to watch a movie together. Lots of seating inside and out to relax, eat together. Beds were super comfy. House was very clean and well stocked with all the essentials including extra thoughtful travel items in the bathrooms (and I did forget my toothbrush). Grocery store and pharmacy super close. Had so much fun with our granddaughter at the local parks. The deer laying in the front yard, walking down the street and grazing out back were so fun to see. Birds were singing all day. It was so peaceful and quiet. The swim spa was great for a soak after a day out either heated or just to cool off. Our hosts were super kind, quick to respond to questions and provided clear instructions along with fun things to do in the area. House was stocked full of games to enjoy as adults and with kids from toddler to teen. I definitely will not look elsewhere to stay on my next trip out.

What a wonderful experience you will have if you are fortunate to stay a few days in this beautiful property. EVERYTHING is first class, the property, casita, pool, breakfast, the views, I can keep going. But most of all, Roger and Mary, they never make you feel like a visitor and always wanting to make sure that you are comfortable. We enjoyed our staycation here. It’s only a 40 min from our house in Austin but it was a great getaway. We were very comfortable. The design of the villas is really nice (friends came over for a swim and they complimented the space) and we enjoyed the views of Hill Country and the pool from the balconies. The stars were more visible than what we’re used to. We brought our 4 mo old puppy and was easily able to entertain him. There’s lots of open grass and a dog potty area. We really wanted a place where we could teach our dog to swim. But no pets are allowed in the pool. Also the listing says a 9 min walk to the lake, but when asked, the property owners said it’s not walkable and that it is a feature Airbnb automatically puts on the listing. So just be aware if that’s of interest. I was told by someone that you can drive to a beach and swim with your dog close by. The Internet isn’t great. TV shows buffered. But we were able to check email, do a video call n watch streaming movies.

Our weekend getaway was an exceptional experience. The property was exactly as described in the listing. It was well-maintained, plenty of beds and startup amenities. The location was ideal for us, nestled in a peaceful neighborhood, with a view of the lake from several rooms. The dock on the lake was a plus for fishing. Whether you’re into outdoor adventures or looking for a relaxing retreat, this spot caters to both. The backyard was a highlight, with a pool/hot tub, seating area and BBQ grill. Game room and pool table were a hit as well. Communication with the host was seamless; they were prompt in responding to messages and provided thorough instructions for check-in and check-out. Overall, this vacation rental met our expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-equipped place to stay. We really enjoyed our stay in Lago Vista and would definitely return!

Travis was an exceptional host. He was quick to communicate if anything was needed and offered multiple amenities. The space itself is very private, great for photos especially around the lake, it's just you and nature. If the weather wasn't so cold we definitely would've hit the water. Hadn't ever heard of spicewood before, but would come again! Thank you again Travis!

Beautiful place… as described!

Kathy was an amazing host!!! the house was in incredible condition when we got ther and she was super communicative the whole time! We drove down from OKC and had some car troubles when we arrived and needed to stay extra days, she was very understanding and willing to help us while we figured out our plan to get back home!

Coming back to rest after a long workday every day felt like a luxurious, restful and energizing experience - beautiful location, amazing hosts and views of the hills plus the amenities of the pool and hot tub. Fantastic little weekend getaway. Thank you!

This place exceeded my expectations. This property was exactly what was described and shown in pictures. Beds were extremely comfortable. The place was extremely clean and supplied everything you would need. I defiantly recommend this place to others and will be back!

Had a great stay here! It was a little hard to find as we arrived at night, but the stay was definitely worth it.

If you want to see the stars at night, the prairie sky, or just hear the coyotes wail Deep In The Heart of Texas… THIS beautifully redone “Tiny Cabin” is the perfect choice for a couple’s get-away! A beautiful place to eat on the porch, as well as inside, it had a fully equipped kitchen, great bathroom, and super comfortable bed!The hot tub, is an absolute perfect addition to the cabin. My experience while enjoying this picturesque and tranquil getaway was stellar. When I say that, I mean everyone from the Host to the wonderful lady who came to clean, we’re all absolute gems! But my hat goes off to the maintenance master, Ayron! If you could personify Marble Falls, and how friendly and welcoming the area is, he is the man to do it. Helped me out so much I won’t even try to explain. Bottom line, this was as good of an AirBnB experience as you could possibly have! The place, the people, the price, all perfect! Go enjoy this gem if ya get the chance!!

This place was amazing! My whole family had a good time, from the little one to the teenagers. The cabin was perfect and had everything we needed plus lots more. Judy has put so much thought, care, and effort in perfecting the cabin and thr amenities. We could not have asked for a better cabin, environment, or host.

The wife and I had a wonderful time at this great spot. It was a very relaxing getaway spot and we were extremely grateful for the ability to incorporate our two labs on this getaway. They had a great time hanging out in the fenced in yard and laying on the cold floor of the house. We had a great time and highly recommend this place for anyone looking to getaway. The pool and other amenities were great too!

This place was way bigger than I thought looking at the photos. The jetted tub was broken, but still an amazing soak. Surely dated but I personally love that, cozy, clean with everything you’ll need. Love the outside space, quiet secluded and the bed was comfortable. There was dish TV too.
