Family-friendly vacation rentals in Lake Erie

This was a phenomenal stay! The house was clean and well stocked (e.g. toilet paper, soap, dishes, etc.). The rooms were as posted in the photos, so there were no surprises! Vu was a very responsive and helpful host. When we had trouble with the hot tub, he came down right away and checked the water for us. As a suggestion for those visiting, if you are sensitive to pool chemicals, you should run the hot tub for one cycle before getting in. There were some spatulas that were unclean in the drawer, but this was not of big concern to us as it might have just been missed while cleaning. Location wise, it’s walkable to Crystal Beach and it has some cute shops along the way! Overall, we would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely gorgeous stay, we didn’t spend much time in the AirBNB as my group was there for an event but Cathy was extremely responsive, accommodating, and friendly!! The views and neighborhood were amazing and the house is so unique and beautiful! I absolutely recommend this stay as it’s close to many attractions in the area as well and is super comfy to wind down from a long day at. Amazing stay!

SO BEAUTIFUL! The radio on the wall was a unique addition that blew my mind. We found out that we didn’t have hot water the next morning but the hosts got it fixed by the time we got back later that day. Good hosts and great apartment.

Phil is an amazing host and provides everything you need for a wonderful stay at Stanroph Cabin! It is beautifully kept, located on 9 acres of land (a rarity in this area), and has plenty of space inside as well (spacious living and dining areas, and generously proportioned bedrooms). Very peaceful, and wonderfully relaxing. The hot tub and fire pit are great amenities! If you are new to the Cook Forest area, it has many unique attractions to enjoy. Some of our family favorites include canoeing on the Clarion, ice cream cones at Pale Whale, the Trading Post, visiting Seneca Point, and climbing the Fire Tower. We have already rebooked for next year!

This was our third stay in a year and we all had a great time again. We saw lots of animals and enjoyed watching the eagle catch his breakfast every morning. The house has everything you could possibly need and Jane, as always, was an incredible host.

My family loved the space. We were in town for a cheer competition. The location was not far from all of Sandusky’s main attractions, and the help guide assisted us in discovering the local places. We plan to rebook before summer is out so we can see the city in full swing.

Stayed for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary and Marks place made it an even more special occasion. Everything was outstandingly perfect, clean and comfortable. the location couldnt be more beautiful. We hope to be able to come and stay again!

Just what we needed

Great place. Cute. Clean. Close to Cedar Point, beach and other attractions. But it’s also quiet. House is comfortable. Only (minor) thing was a few of the photos look bigger than real life. For instance, the bedrooms are tight. Enough room to move around but don’t expect any extra floor space and there are no dressers. And backyard is small. But we enjoyed the fire pit after a long fun day. And the neighborhood beach/park is nice. Enjoyed it.

Lakeside Bliss! We were so very lucky to have landed this Air BnB for our recent stay in Port Dalhousie. We were visiting for a Rowing Regatta- and the location cannot be beat. Warren's home is truly a home away from home. We walked through the door, and it was welcoming- almost familiar. It is so very well appointed and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with quality and abundant gear- appliances top notch. The bedrooms and all linens high end. Warren was easy to communicate with and quick in responses- although honestly we lacked for nothing during our stay. I am not sure Warren's home could have been any cleaner- it was immaculate! ( and I am picky -so that is saying a lot). The best part of the stay however - is the backyard and the view. We were so sad to leave! Thank you Warren, we do plan on returning- often.

We rented at the last minute because our reservation at another place was canceled. Michael’s place was even better than the canceled place. Michael checked in with us on a regular basis helping to ensure our stay was positive.

We’ve stayed here for several years now for a family event. Bill is always welcoming and checks in regularly to see how things are going. The small fenced area is perfect for my dogs, and in addition there’s plenty of room on the property to walk them. The home is BEAUTIFUL, with plenty of space. There are multiple parks nearby with walking trails as well.

The place was very spacious. The views were beautiful. All of us fit well in the house. Very nice neighborhood. Mark was a fantastic host. Highly recommend this place for larger groups. Would definitely come again. Very cozy place and beautiful area. Plenty of room and everyone loved it. Easy to walk to the lake. Friendliest host. Great place to come and relax and unwind.

Stayed here for a holiday weekend with a family of four adults. The house location is fantastic! Beautiful sweeping views of Lake Erie from many rooms in the house, and nothing beat having coffee on the deck in the morning and a drink on the deck in the evening. Having the ravine next to us added to the privacy and wonderful animal watching (birds, fox, frogs). The home was charming, cozy, and had all the amenities we needed. We spent Sunday at the many walkable wineries. Can't recommend this place enough! We're looking forward to adding it to our getaway rotation!

A great place to stay! We enjoyed the space and found that we were never overcrowded with 9 people and a dog. The cottage was even more beautiful than the pictures show and the A/C was a great amenity! The host was amazing, welcoming and accommodating! It was so close to the little town with shops and restaurants! We will for sure be back! Totally worth the price!

We have stayed at Turkey Hollow Lodge in the past and it was as nice as we remembered. The driveway is quite rugged but my boys loved driving over the streams. We appreciated the generous amount of firewood provided and cooked outdoors the first night. The kitchen had everything we needed for the second night. The location is ideal as it is close to everything Cook Forest has to offer. The cabin is surrounded by woods with no neighbors in sight. It stayed cool during the day due to the shade from the trees and the furnace kept us warm at night. The WiFi worked well indoors.

I usually do not leave reviews but this place deserves it. We (husband & 2 corgis included) really enjoyed our stayed. Check-in was easy and Sonia was great to communicate with. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. Close (10 - 15 min) to stores if needed and to the Falls. Great place to relax after a long day of walking around. The hosts are super nice people and we wouldn't hesitate to book again once you come back.

Emily was an incredible host!! We arrived slightly earlier than planned and she immediately came down to the tiny home to make sure everything was ready, even leaving some amazing bread and homemade jam as a welcome gift Although we didn’t have great weather, property was wonderful to walk around and proximity to ellicottville and sculpture park was great. Emily’s picnic was to die for!! Had it waiting for us when we got back from town. When we wanted to make a fire after dinner, she brought down a ton of firewood for us as soon as I messaged her. 10/10 would come again!! Perfect staycation for the Buffalo area

Went for a weekend away and the place was a great stay. It was clean and communication was great. They even left us snacks and a nice note.

We had a great stay at Chris and Dawn's condo. The space was clean, well equipped and just as described in the listing. The hosts were very responsive and quick to answer any questions we had. The view from the screened balcony was awesome. Highly recommended!

Carol’s place was beautiful! The pool was a nice bonus and it wasn’t too far from the falls! Carol was seriously, hands downs thee coolest airbnb host I’ve encountered yet!!! She was so funny and engaged when I had questions on how far things were or her recommendations on things to do nearby! I will def be back, if not to stay in her beautiful airbnb it will be to hang out with her!!! Thanks sooo much Carol! My sister and I had a blast and you made it 1000x funner!

I had stayed at this resort before but through the resort. No plunger. Had to call and wait to get the toilet unclogged. No wifi as well. I paid more as well and the cottage was smaller in size. This cottage was spacious and had all the amenities. Never had to contact John except how to turn on the heat and hot water. I highly recommend this cottage

We arrived late and Debbie met and let us in. The tour was great, along with the history of their childhood growing up on the farm. Felt right at home from the get go. The pool was awesome as well as the horses. The children and younger adults loved it all. I would sincerely recommend this place to anyone that wants a home away from home! Debbie is amazing and very friendly! Lewis Farm Retreat the place to go!

Our stay was great! The condo was clean, the golf cart rentals were easily accessible, and the view was amazing. Rhett was proactive in providing us with all the necessary info. We would definitely come back!
