House vacation rentals in Lake County

Absolutely recommend staying in this home!! My sons were graduating from Navy bootcamp and we all had the most amazing and memorable stay! The house was beautiful and immaculately clean. The host went above and beyond to make our stay perfect, even had a custom cake made for my sons graduating from bootcamp. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a home cooked meal, the hot tub was so relaxing… just an all around perfect stay. Our favorite airbnb we have ever stayed in!! Definitely recommend if you are visiting for a navy graduation and want to spoil your graduate (12 min to base) but also even a great place if you’re visiting Chicago and want to stay outside the city. Looking forward to visiting again, highly recommend!!!

Beautiful and eclectic home. It was perfect for our group of girls visiting from all over the U.S to attend our HS Reunion. Plenty of lovely spaces to gather or a private, quiet nook to read or rest. The pool was wonderful. Beds were super comfortable. Kitchen was large enough and well stocked to prepare meals. Andy was very responsive with any issues or questions. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay! The house was extremely clean, cozy and fully furnished with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Location is less than 20 minutes to the Naval base and close to grocery stores and restaurants. Sandra is an exceptional host and made sure everything was perfect for our family. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our family weekend. The house had plenty of space for everyone. The pool added so much fun and we really appreciated how secure the door to the pool was. We traveled with a 7 year old and it was comforting that he could not get into the pool room without an adult. The theatre in the basement was great and made the UFC fight even more fun. We chose to cook all our meals at the house. We found everything we needed in the fully loaded kitchen. We also took advantage of the fire pit in the private backyard. My husband and I enjoyed a nice walk around the neighborhood. We felt very comfortable and safe. Also the coffee shop “something’s brewing” is close by and a must stop. We appreciated plenty of towels and blankets. Thank you namestay for hosting us! Great house for a staycation!

Roger’s home was the perfect place for our stay! He was an excellent communicator from start to finish, which made everything smooth and stress-free. The space was incredibly clean and well taken care of — we felt right at home. He was also very considerate and flexible with our checkout, knowing how important it was for us to spend a little more time with our sailor before leaving. That thoughtfulness really meant a lot to us. We’d gladly stay here again and highly recommend Roger’s place to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and welcoming stay. Thank you, Roger! 👏

It was a great experience staying at the Casa Monarca. The house had everything we needed it was very spacious and cozy but most of all very clean. We initially came to Illinois for my sister’s Navy Graduation, the base was close to the house so it was great access to mostly everything we came for. Everything was local as far as shopping centers and restaurants. Guillermo and His Wife were very spot on when we needed some help with things responded very quickly to our messages and anything we needed. They were very respectful and organized. I would highly recommend this home 100%, I am sure you will love it the same way we did. Thank you!

My friends and I were looking for a house to fit the six of us while we kicked back and watched some football for the weekend. Barbara provided us with the perfect house. Grill, hot tub and other amenities were fantastic!

Our Sailor loved visiting us at the Indigo Cottage. The house was so sunny, happy and spacious. The closet was full of games. We played Uno. The shelves were full of books for all. The beds were comfy. The kitchen was perfect! Coffee, tea & cooking essentials were all there. It's a great walking neighborhood. Very safe and friendly and near a school. Less than 10 minute walk to grocery and restaurants and the bowling alley. We also had a rental car. It takes 15 minutes to get to Navy Graduation. This house is a gem! The host communication was excellent. Any last minute schedule changes or snags, they responded to instantly. So accommodating. ❤️ Did I mention the beautiful yard? Loved it here! If another one of my kids joins the Navy, I'm coming back!

This place was perfect for my husband, our ten year old and my mother and I. Plenty of space and privacy for my mother on second floor, and for us on the first floor. Everything was well designed- there was plenty of flexible and very comfortable seating in the living room and bedrooms for hanging out, and also around the dinner table. So much natural light, and free of clutter, yet it felt homey and like someone cared about their space, not just furnished as a rental business. The neighborhood was great for playing pass in the cul de sac, or across st at park and playground, and lovely for walking. Kitchen appliances were primo, and we found everything we needed. Thank you for such an enjoyable stay!

The home was very nice, clean and comfortable. It was a great place to stay for a few days for my daughter’s graduation from RTC. The hosts were very responsive. We appreciated having a garage to store our car we had several days of rain. Great size kitchen, living room and bedrooms. I was worried about one bath with 3 of us but it worked out. The home was close to everything and had everything we needed.

This was a great place to stay to spend time with our Sailor after Boot Camp Graduation from Naval Training Station Great Lakes. We were all able to relax and spend time together. We were able to cook his favorite meal, play a game together and all 5 of us fit comfortably on the couch and in the hot tub. The lake also made for a beautiful backdrop for pictures and watching wildlife. The bed in the room off of the kitchen is the most comfortable (one of sons got that room). The bed in the master was not comfortable to us, but may be to others. Communication and instructions were great. It was wonderful to have a real coffee pot and filters available. We brought our own coffee. They worked with us to let us check in a half hour early to meet our time frame for the evening. It was very helpful.

My family and I loved the neighborhood, the cozy feel of the home, and the convenience of being able to get back and forth from the Navy base with ease. Everything in the home was very thoughtful and we had everything we needed to include toys, a high chair, and activities for the little ones. They even decorated for our graduate! The beds will make you not want to leave! Thanks for the hospitality and communication, I will recommend this home to anyone I know and will definitely stay there again!

This home was amazing. The photos are great but when I got to the home, I was wowed! Huge and cozy and it made me and my partner feel welcome and right at home. I tend to be anal with cleanliness and this home totally met my expectations...it still has that new home feeling. Lori was super responsive...she answered all of my questions and even allowed me to have a late checkout for my birthday. This was a wonderful staycation for me. Thank you so much Lori...I truly appreciate it! I definitely recommend this home to others to stay!

We had an incredible time at Mark’s place! The photos definitely matched the actual house and from the moment you walk in you feel right at home. Mark had provided all of the mentioned amenities and then some, and provided personal touches and local recommendations. We visited in the off season, and are hopeful to return in the summer to take more advantage of the outdoor activities around. Definitely recommend!!

Cherri’s home was the perfect place to stay while visiting for my son’s Navy graduation. From the moment we arrived, the warm and welcoming environment made us feel right at home. It was such a comfort to be able to cook a few homemade meals for my son, providing him with a safe and cozy haven that reminded us of being back in Florida. Given the extremely cold and windy weather during our visit, the home’s thoughtful amenities were a blessing. There were plenty of warm blankets, a fireplace, and even heated blankets to keep us comfortable. My favorite feature was the outdoor bedroom—despite the chill, it was incredibly cozy with multiple layers of heat provided. During the day, it became my peaceful retreat, offering a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the tranquility of nature. Cherri’s home truly exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to stay here again in the future, whether for another special occasion or just a visit to the area.

We enjoyed Tawny's home. I am very picky about cleanliness and feel uncomfortable in an Airbnb with unkept bathrooms...we all have seen it. This place was spotless. The beds were comfortable & linens were clean and cozy. And the showers and bathrooms had no "yuck" in the cracks and crevices! The home is very spacious and comfortable. The gym was nice. We did not use outside amenities or the very nice porch, the weather just wasn't accommodating. We were there to just hang out and relax. The house is very close to all services and stores. Dining is close whether going out or delivery. The home has everything you need, it is cozy, spacious, has a very well kept & equipped kitchen; and again, it is CLEAN! One suggestion, maybe a pullout wall mirror in a bathroom. For up close makeup application so don't have to lean over sink, for short people like me. I would say overall, this was one of the cleanest Airbnb I have rented. Was a wonderful stay & Def. Would Recommend for any occasion!

A very comfortable lake house! Fantastic view and access to the lake. Fully furnished kitchen makes cooking any meal as easy as at home. Plenty of space for guests to spread out. Host is responsive and accommodating.

The house a beautiful and homey. sadly, we got checked in super late so wasn't able to enjoy the area but would defiantly come back on our next adventure

We couldn't ask for a better location to stay at while attending our sons graduation from Navy bootcamp. The location along with the house having everything we needed was great. Our new sailor was able to come spend the day with us and just relax. We were even able to BBQ one of the days. The house is as described and has everything you would need and more. It was just what we needed . I would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again if I ever need to go back to the area.

Marsha and Daniel were great hosts and kept communication clear and constant from days before our arrival until we made it to Chicago. It truly felt like home while we celebrated our sailors graduation. It was 7min from base with plenty of food and stores close by for any last minute things. Thank you so much! We will be back!
