Cabin vacation rentals in Lake County

Our group of 8 had a wonderful time on our week stay. The house is located in a beautiful spot close to Breckenridge skiing and FairPlay fishing, and the community around it are some of the nicest people I have ever met! Truly an amazing experience!

This was the perfect stay for our weekend birthday trip in Colorado. The cabin was very cozy, and it had all the amenities you might leave at home, such as toiletries, seasonings, and plenty of cook ware. The appliances were all gorgeous. The hot tub made the nights relaxing. We saw a ton of wildlife. We definitely love to come back!

Awesome location, short drive to Main Street in Fairplay and easy to get to trails/mountain adventures. Looked just like the photos, was super comfy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend in the mountains. Would definitely stay there again!

Loved our stay. The cabin was great, and stocked with everything that we needed. The natural hotsprings was a game changer, absolutely amazing. 10/10 would recommend.

Perfect cabin for a getaway in the mountains! It's private and quaint. Great location, 20 minutes from Breck. The beds were great, the kitchen is well stocked with essentials and cookware. The hot tub was truly a highlight of our stay. The host is responsive and communicated very well. Overall 5 stars, will return!

We stayed at this cabin for a birthday weekend away and I'm so glad we did! It definitely delivered the cozy cabin feel we were looking for, was beautifully furnished and has amazing views right outside the front door. The hot tub was one of our favorite parts especially in the early morning. We appreciated that this place was pup friendly too. Worth noting that the beds were on the firmer side and as the hosts say, it is best to have an AWD/4WD vehicle as the 10mile road to the cabin is uneven and gravely - my sedan made it but it was a bumpy ride. Something bigger like an SUV would do better. Overall this is a great find and I would recommend it for anyone looking for a classic Colorado mountain getaway.

We had such a great time in this little cabin! The views were amazing and the private area out back was perfect for us and our dog. The clubhouse in walking distance was a plus and perfectly positioned between Keystone, Frisco, and Breckenridge driving wise! Would definitely recommend!!

Karen and Fred’s place in Twin Lakes was quiet, clean, and very comfortable. The views of the mountains and lake were stunning, and it was a perfect spot to relax and unwind. The cabin had everything we needed, and the surrounding area was great for hiking and exploring. Karen was helpful and easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay again

We had a great time at Brian’s cabin. Beautiful surroundings, plenty of space for everyone, fully stocked kitchen and upgraded bathrooms. The view from the deck is top notch. Everyone in the family gave it 5 stars! We enjoyed the history of the family as well. The directions were easy to follow to get there. The locals are super friendly as well. We would come back!

Lovely cabin that was the perfect setting for our family’s trip to the mountains. Close enough to Leadville for easy trips to town, while the cabin itself is scenic and private. Appreciated the garage and the pet friendly atmosphere. Thanks for a lovely stay!

This was a great place to recharge - it's very remote and quiet and it's surrounded by wildlife and beautiful mountains. We would definitely stay here again!

We loved staying in the cabin! It had a cozy decor and rustic elements. There was also a great view of the mountains, and the property was quite big and full of bird activity. We were surprised to find a microwave, and the kitchen was well stocked. Jessica and Walter provided everything you needed to start a fire in the stove, which was great for us as beginners. The neighboring towns, Leadville and Buena Vista are both very charming and easy to get to. Our trip was mainly for hiking in the area, and Twin lakes itself has lots of wonderful hikes within a few minutes of driving from the cabin. Would highly recommend!

This was one of the nicest stays I’ve ever had. I was at Dan’s cabin for 4.5 weeks, and it was just heavenly. I arrived when the Aspen were just budding and got to see them fully bloom. The cabin was fantastic. It was just my cat and me, so we had more than enough space. The bed was incredibly comfortable (I was grateful for that since I was staying so long). The bathrooms were great and the kitchen was SO well-equipped. My favorite part was all the windows. They were all huge and open—no coverings—so it felt like you were part of the outside with beautiful sights to see. The location was perfect for me—easy to do a number of day trips, but fantastic to come back to with privacy and serenity. Dan was always super-responsive! He had to come one night to move a huge Aspen tree from blocking the driveway to the cabin. He was always on call for questions. I feel so fortunate that Dan allowed me to stay. I hope to again next summer. It was the nicest time I’ve had in a long time.

Lisa's cabin was a wonderful weekend getaway. The location, right under Mt Elbert provides a ton to do near by. The home itself was comfortable and well furnished. My family enjoyed fishing the Arkansas and spending time around Twin Lakes! Would definitely return.

We had such a great time during our stay. The cabin is just as pictured, plenty of room for relaxing and games. They had lots of games ready for us, even baby toys and books. We loved the large deck and AMAZING views! The driveway was great for our grand daughter to sled down. Thanks for the memories!!

Lovely secluded stay ~8min drive from downtown Leadville. We had a really nice 4 day stay. The cabin is very cozy with ample room for two people. Great location to lots of great hiking. Highly recommend!

To be honest, I couldn’t say enough good things about this cabin! It was full of surprises literally everywhere, the pictures don’t do it justice at all. We were all amazed at how spacious the place is. We didn’t try using the fireplace but I think that would help if you wanted to hang out in the living room on a very cold night. The heating units also work very well too! We just weren’t familiar with indoor fireplaces The kitchen is fully stocked with everything one could need to cook and the water is hot with good pressure. The hosts were very prompt to respond and also incredibly friendly and helpful! They offered recommendations and were very understanding when it came to check out and our late arrival. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a nice mountain getaway with good company!

Great place to stay in a quiet, peaceful community.

This cabin is the perfect winter getaway. Super cozy with a fire place, comfortable beds, very well equipped kitchen and just 10 minutes away from the ski slopes. Wonderful!!!
