Beeindruckende Villa mit großem Garten. Der See ist nur wenige Minuten entfernt und das Haus sauber und gepflegt. Unsere Gastgeberin war immer ansprechbar und hilfsbereit. Wir können die Unterkunft nur weiter empfehlen.

Michael’s is a start host, a great communicator and goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is as easy and enjoyable as possible. He recommends places to shop, eat, and lancha/shuttle services. The groundskeeper Lucas and his family are gems and truly make the house a home. They pick you up at the port in Jaibalito and assist with luggage and his wife Teresa makes the most delicious tortillas. Now for the house! It was beautifully decorated filled with traditional and tasteful decor. The view from the upper balcony is to die for with a spectacular view of the lake and volcanos as well as the amazing house garden. Any time of day, morning, afternoon, or night, it’s sure to be your favorite spot. Amenities were included soap, shampoo, towels, coffee as well as everything you need to cook like pans and spices. We enjoyed reading Michael’s story and history of the house in the house rulebook which contains all you need to know for your stay. You are sure to feel at home here.

I’ve been coming to Guatemala since I was a child, as my family is from here. But in all the years that we’ve been coming, this has been the best experience we’ve had. The home was clean, beautiful, tranquil, and spacious. Our host, Maria, was so amazing and very informative. Yohanna the housekeeper was also amazing! I will be sure to book this home again for when I come back to Guatemala!

The place was gorgeous with an amazing view and just a short walk to Santa Catarina’s town. Ricardo was super friendly and gave us great tips on places to visit and eat. The owner kindly let us leave our backpacks after checkout so we could explore more before leaving, which was a huge help. Highly recommend!

Beautiful place with an amazing view. The host was great, we even got a local chef to the house to cook us an authentic Guatemalan meal which was by far the best meal we had on our trip. Highly recommend this place.

Nos encantó la casa, la tranquilidad, el paisaje, la accesibilidad del anfitrión, siempre estuvo atento a nuestra comunicación, nos encantó tener acceso a paddle board, fue una gran experiencia para todos. Nos hubiera gustado que la playa estuviera bien para nadar, ya que habían muchas algas. Con gusto volveríamos, logramos descansar en un ambiente rodeado de la naturaleza. Hacer fogata en familia fue una linda experiencia. Recomendamos este lugar sin problema alguno.

Increíble lugar, las fotos del anuncio son hermosas pero en persona superó las expectativas. La casa muy amplia, con muchos ambientes para que, aunque hayan muchas personas, cada quien puede tener su espacio.Tiene todo lo necesario. El jardín hermoso así como la salida al lago. Muy cerca de Santiago que también la calle principal muy bonita. Don Eduardo muy amable nos apoyó muchísimo. Seguramente volveremos, muchas gracias por todo.

Our stay at Casa Eggedal was a wonderful, peaceful retreat. The surroundings are extraordinarily beautiful, with gorgeous gardens. The house is well designed for enjoying the scenery and for relaxing. The kitchen has more dishes and cooking pots/pans than I have at home. Deedle was very responsive and friendly. We loved relaxing in the pool and exploring the areas around the lake. As noted in other reviews, there are LOTS of stairs on the property, so be sure you’re up for that. We loved it and would definitely recommend a stay.

Our stay was pleasant. It was clean and with all what needed. Customer service was great from the employees who live in the location.

We had a fantastic stay at this spacious lake house perched on a cliff with breathtaking views of Lake Atitlán. The home features a pool and a jacuzzi. Access involves navigating narrow, cliffside roads through small villages—perfect for adventurous travelers. The house spans three levels: the entry floor includes a small bedroom, a master bedroom, an outdoor bedroom, and a pool table room. One level down are three more bedrooms. The lowest level features a spacious kitchen, dining and living areas, and a large deck to enjoy the view. A well-kept path leads to the lake’s edge, where we were picked up by boat for a scenic ride to San Juan La Laguna. We opted not to drive to Panajachel at night due to the narrow roads. While it could use a few touch-ups, overall everything was good . We truly enjoyed our stay and recommend this place .

Wow wow wow! We had the most amazing time! It was such a stunning location but more than that, Martin- who took care of the house and property, was an amazing asset. He helped us in so many ways! He helped arrange transportation, home cooked (delicious ) meals, and laundry. The pool and hot tub were amazing and although the location was a bit remote, it was easy to get anywhere to find what we wanted to see and do. Our group was truly sad to leave!

Vielen Dank für die schönen Tage. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen! :) Wenn ich eine Kleinigkeit verbessern würde, wäre es, wenn man mit dem Auto kommt, das erste Treffen auf dem inkludierten Parkplatz zu machen. Dies würde helfen den vorgesehenen Parkplatz direkt zu finden. :)
