Vacation rentals with lake access in Lafourche Parish

This was hands down the greatest trip we’ve ever taken. We brought our 78 year old uncle, a lifelong fishing enthusiast, to Bayou Life to celebrate his birthday, and watching his joy every single day made this experience absolutely priceless. First off, the home is stunning. The pictures don’t come close to capturing how beautiful, comfortable, and well-stocked it is. It had everything we could possibly need, and more. Mornings with coffee on either of the two upper balconies were pure serenity. Evenings watching the sun melt into the river with a glass of wine or bourbon (yes, we had both) while pulling in fresh crabs from the five traps off your private dock, it was like something out of a movie. If that was the final scene of my life, I’d go!Morgan, the host, the legend. Most connected man in Louisiana. He had crab traps set, shrimp waiting helped arrange fish charter that pick up from the dock and crab tour. Same dock we caught several black drum over 30 lbs and monster catfish!

This place was absolutely amazing to be able to come and relax and get away from the big city. We enjoyed the views of the Bayou along with being able to sit outside at night and being able to enjoy the sound of nature. I would recommend this place to anyone.

We had a great vacation down south away from the city. This place was everything we were looking for, beautiful, relaxing and right on the water. My husband and son love to fish and they caught catfish, crabs etc right off the water edge! We had so much fun exploring, especially the airboat tour with Alligators!!! Rachel is an amazing host and we hope to come back again😊

We had a great stay at Joe’s place. Clean and well stocked. Nice big yard on the canal, with a small dock and a landing. Joe was very easy to communicate with and had a tasty gumbo waiting in the fridge for us when we arrived. Fun place to bring my son and a friend for a weekend getaway.

This large, lovely home with all it’s amenities, was just as described and photos were accurate. They even decorated it for Mardi Gras and welcomed us with a delicious King Cake and treats. Hosts went above and beyond with responsiveness and meeting any need. He even went and bought us a new blender within minutes of telling him it wasn’t working. It was more than enough private spaces for our group of 7 adults as well as large living room to gather. Mattresses and pillows were super comfortable in every bedroom, including daybed and trundle beds. Large master bath had 2 showers and a jacuzzi tub. Lots of nice towels. Plenty of space in the kitchen and places to sit and eat or visit. Quiet area in a cul-de-sac with lots of space outside including a great views out the front from the large kitchen and views of the open backyard and the bayou right out back. Lots of parking for cars in the private driveway. We had three and could have fit even more. We would certainly stay there again!

Everything was excellent! Couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

We flew down from Illinois to celebrate my brother’s birthday. The house and location were great! The boys fished off the dock and took the kayak and paddle boat out. We all enjoyed sitting on the back porch. Brooke’s place was very clean and we all adored the decorations! We will definitely be planning another trip!

Very cozy and convenient getaway spot! My family of 5 had a blast fishing from the dock mainly! Highly recommend. Host was very attentive and friendly. Would stay again
