Waterfront vacation rentals in Lackawanna County

As we left, we promised to leave a “bajillion star” review. Ronnie and Derek’s place is simply one of the best, perhaps even the best, Airbnb we’ve stayed at. Wonderful location, peaceful atmosphere, *immaculate* cleanliness, thoughtful touches (the bread and fresh-cut flowers) and kind, attentive but not overbearing hosts. We had picked their place last-minute, only to discover a location that we’ll return to again and again when needing an escape from the city. Love it and highest recommendation!

We had the best ever Polish Family Picnic Re-Union again, in the PL State Park, again staying with Ms. Elwira, Somewhere In Time! Our thanks to her, and her family, including Mona the Shephard, for creating and inspiring us to grow upward, towards and closer to God! The BEST place to stay for us!!😃

Enjoyed my stay tremendously. It was like having a snug nest in the forest. Yet, you could hop in the car and visit nearby stores and restaurants in minutes. I especially liked the park that was just down the road where I walked my dog every day. All in all a great place.

The space was perfect. The house is kept very well and has anything you would need for your stay available. The outdoor area is great and the lake view is even better. Jim is super responsive and helpful. Would stay here again in a heartbeat, recommend it to anyone.

Host was very responsive and proactive. We experienced a brief loss of power and they reached out immediately to check in and make sure our stay was not aversely affected. Nice tranquil setting on a dead end road with very little vehicle traffic.

We do an annual trip and I have rented several houses in the Poconos. Mostly Big Bass Lake. Joanna’s home was by far the best we have rented. House itself was perfect. So much to do. Joanna thought of every single detail to make our stay comfortable. Aside from the house, Joanna was so accommodating. Any question I may have had was answered before I asked it. We were offered complimentary early check in and late check out.

The house was very accommodating for a group such as ours consisting of 1/2 adults and 1/2 children. The grounds had many amenities, the interior was super comfortable and beautifully decorated; the fishing was fantastic, the grandchildren loved the fishing and rowing. Plenty of canoes, outdoor games, activities, etc. These memories will last them forever. The view from the upper deck was very beautiful, morning or late afternoon, it was very peaceful. A small quiet community of people surrounds this lake, there is one minor caveat for those sensitive to highway noise which is unfortunate for this community; But honestly, you could not hear it inside the house, only if one was outside and we learned to block it and move on. I was able to hear birds singing so it isn’t that of a deal unless you seek greater isolation. Hope this honest review is accepted constructively. All in all we had a lovely time. Beautiful house with a great view of the lake. House was easy to get to and the check in process was very easy. The rooms and beds were all clean and the hot tub, fire pit and grill were very nice to have. Everything worked and I had no issues. Easy communication with the host and answered any questions or concerns I had. Highly recommend this place if your looking for a house on the lake

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage on the lake. Beautiful property with a few special unexpected things too. The hot tub over looking the lake was perfect for the chilly mornings and evenings.

We had a wonderful stay at Amanda's place! The AirBnB was so cozy during the winter weather and the lake was a stunning backdrop for our weekend away. We enjoyed lots of laughs and home cooked meals during our stay. We're already talking about when we can return!

My family and I rented Jonathan's place as a long-term rental during ski season. We wanted to be close to Big Boulder given our involvement in the race program and the place could not have been more conveniently located (it was also great being able to walk to Boulder View Tavern for apres ski!). The unit was just like it was described, and Jonathan was always incredibly responsive if we ever needed anything. This place became our "home away from home" for ski season and we were truly sad to pack up on our last day. Highly recommend both this unit and Jonathan (I believe he has other properties) to anyone considering a stay in the Poconos. Fantastic experience and absolutely wonderful host!!

This is our 3rd year staying at the house for our family's winter getaway. The location is absolutely perfect and the view is just breathtaking. The house is very clean and well stocked with everything we need. The communication prior and during our stay was on point, responsive and super helpful. We can't wait for next year! We stayed at Sharon’s for a weekend of skiing. Sharon’s ski condo was absolutely lovely. It was clean and neat. It was decorated so nice and felt so cozy! The views of the lake and mountain were beautiful. It was a very peaceful. We absolutely loved it. The location was great for skiing at big boulder. Sharon was a the best host as communication was excellent and Sharon was so friendly. She allowed us to check out a little later in the date of our departure. There was tons of information on all local places etc and a guest handbook with any/all information you would need. We will absolutely be back! Thank you Sharon for sharing your ski condo with our family

We really enjoyed our stay at this comfortable and perfectly located condo with a beautiful lake view. It was very roomy with plenty of space for all guests. Joanne was an excellent communicator, proactively providing all of the information we needed for a smooth checkin and seamless experience. Our family had a great time at the lake house. We loved that there were bathrooms for each bedroom. The bathroom and kitchen areas were spotless. Loved the selection of games. The house was well stocked but must bring your own soap and shampoo.
