Vacation rentals with lake access in Lac de Gérardmer

We booked this place to benefit from facilities that allowed us to enjoy a few days of relaxation even in case of bad weather (Nordic bath, hot tub, infrared sauna and wood fire). The Nordic bath is free access, what could be more pleasant to relax at night and enjoy the calm of the place. Gérard is very welcoming, his well-maintained accommodation and everything is thought out to make us feel at home, with or without children: beds made on arrival, heated house, tissue and bottle of water at the foot of the bed, shower gel, shampoo, toilet paper, linens, road maps and tourist books, some DVDs, books and children's games. The house on 3 levels allows everyone to have their own space (5 bedrooms, 3 showers, 1 bathtub and 3 toilets). We plan to come back in the summer this time to discover the region in a whole new way.

Beautiful chalet in beautiful location. Clean and spacious for a family of 4. Hot tub is great. The chalet is well equipped. We traveled from the UK and arrived into some unusually heavy snow fall, road access to the chalet is steep and we slid around eventually had to use our snow chains, so be aware of that if going in winter with no snow tyres and two wheel drive. Would stay again. Carlos helpful, despite not speaking English and we don’t speak French but made it work.

Beautiful house, very tastefully arranged. Bright. Very well located in relation to the city center and lake. The hot tub and arcade terminal were a hit with the kids... and parents! The bedding is great. And a big thank you to Emilie for hosting us and for her kindness.

Very good stay, very welcoming hosts, available. Very warm accommodation, very spacious, you feel at home, nothing missing and really very clean, bedding worthy of a great hotel. The small baby room offered if needed is well thought out. Close to shopping or beautiful walks. I highly recommend it and for my part it's certain I'll go back.

We had a great time at Thierry's with the added bonus of the sun. We were very well received and the listing was as described. It is very well-equipped, clean and the sauna is very nice. The accommodation is located near the lake, quiet and in a very soothing environment. The large terrace allows you to make the most of the outdoors and the children loved playing outside. We'll be happy to go back!

Fantastically secluded and yet short distances to all the "hotspots" of the Hochvogesen. Very nice and helpful as well as discreet and reserved hosts. Lovely furnishings with perfect function down to the last detail, e.g. shoe washing station for hiking boots (sandstone trough with running water and scrub brush), storage room for bicycles, everything you need in the kitchen and bathroom, firewood & co. as well as final cleaning at no extra charge. Simply fabulous!

very nice apartment, sunny, impeccable cleanliness. It's on the 2nd floor but it wasn't an inconvenience at all. Very convenient and secure garage.

Great stay at Hugo's place. Listing as described and functional. Quiet location and beautiful mountain views from the bedrooms. Comfortable bedding, which is rare enough to be highlighted. We spent 3 quiet nights in a beautiful setting overlooking the pond and the mountains. The owners had given us all the useful information beforehand. We did some very nice hikes near the accommodation. Everything is available on site (super u, bakery, bar/tobacco, etc.) And we took the opportunity to have a barbecue on this beautiful property.

Perfect, a beautiful weekend in a beautiful cottage that's very well equipped, even better than in the description, with beautiful decor, friendly and available hosts... I look forward to returning on sunny days with my tribe, children and grandchildren...

The place is perfect for a large group, there is a lot of space. The large living room is very friendly, the kitchen very well equipped, the bedrooms are very spacious and the bedding is great! The accommodation is well equipped and clean. It has space to park close to the cottage. We had a great time, in a great setting (nature, calm, large green spaces...). Small+ for the wood fire in the living room, very warm. Samuel is very accommodating, welcoming and responsive. He made sure that our stay was as enjoyable as possible and met all my expectations! Thank you again for hosting Samuel! We'll be happy to go back!

I’d love to write this in French, but that would take too long! However it would be well worth the effort as this place was OUTSTANDING! We visited with another family, in total two couples and 6 boys from the age of 6-16 and the gite delivered everything you could hope for! The kitchen was well equipped to cook for a large group and bake whatever you like. The sauna was impeccably done with lots of thought of the layout, the main living room was as lovely as the photos indicate and every bedroom was thought through carefully to the last picture and lamp. The outdoor area was spacious, the barbecues large and spotless, the treehouse a dream even on rainy days to get the kids out and the house quiet. There is nothing I can think of that should have been done differently, we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite the weather being slightly damp. In addition Michel and Muriel were super responsive and helped us with any request we had. I can only recommend them warmly!

One week stay from April 5 to 12…Summer weather with sunshine every day… This made it possible to fully enjoy the accommodation and the surrounding area… Certainly the best stay with family… Everything is perfect for 5 or 7 people… We were accompanied by our dog… Very nice area and ideal location to explore or stay quiet… Supermarket nearby with bakery and butcher shop too… There is everything you need in the accommodation and Marie Jo knows how to be discreet and available if needed… We recommend and will return to the same property if we return at another time of year…👍
