The house is a traditional Normandy longhouse, made of granite, wood and tile. There are 185 square meters of indoor space. The farmhouse has been sensitively restored using traditional materials. La Pichardiere sits in the heart of the Normandy countryside far away from busy traffic in a secluded two acre garden set in a corner of a regional park (equivalent to a National Park in UK) -- It is a place to escape from city life! I love its peacefulness and the presence of the natural world.

There is so much to see and do here at Meadow Brook Gites. You’ll have sole use of the 3 gites, all with upstairs bedrooms, sofa beds & bathrooms downstairs. We are set in the heart of the Forêt d’Écouves. Which is great for an energetic break, you can go hiking & cycling. For a tranquil time, emerge yourself in nature at its finest. For night owls if you have a clear night you can see the stars as there isn’t any light pollution. Also we’re not too far from the tourist attractions too

However, you also stay there for the comfort and quality of the amenities of this former 18th century farmhouse, completely renovated while respecting its original charm.

Small, charming and comfortable cottage at foot of a river and the forest, in a stud farm, in an estate that once belonged to a painter whose 19th century workshop remains attached to the castle. 10 minutes from the city center of Alençon and on the edge of the Ecouves forest, you are in peaceful nature to rest and recharge your batteries. Many walks, at 1km or less, a climbing spot, a trail course by bike and running, fitness trail. Pony club on place.
