Stone Cottage in Grounds of a 16th-Century Castle

The cottage sits on the grounds of a castle dating back to 1543 offering an authentic stay. The interior retains a decor that matches the historic charm of the area with modern comforts added and a shared pool in the stunning gardens outside. This is our smallest cottage and cannot take an additional bed or cot. The other cottages are all larger and can do this. All 3 cottages can be rented separately or together. They are in the grounds of a 16th century castle with beautiful gardens and large swimming pool enclosed by stone walls. The lower salon and summer kitchen in the main chateau is available to share. Access is by the side garden gate and all cottages are accessed by stone steps- sadly not suitable for wheelchairs. We will most likely be present living in the main Chateau and available to help and advise about restaurants and things to do in the area. We will share the pool and gardens. The old village is in a beautiful part of France that is has retained its iconic beauty through the centuries and still feels untouched by modern life in many places. Experience true local dining and bakeries with scenic walking trails all around. parking is in the church square below the Chateau. There is a local taxi service in the village and bus service to Avignon, Banyols sur Ceze and Uzes but car hire is recommended. We are 20 minutes from Avignon TGV rail station and about an hour from Marseille, Nimes or Montpellier airports. The cottages are completely private and tranquil.

Welcome to the Domaine de Transy, quiet between Richerenches and the Baume de Transit facing Mont Ventoux in the vineyards and truffle fields. Duplex cottage of 70 m2 and two additional bedrooms with entrance hall and living room TV and board games (80 m2) totally independent spacious and comfortable in a Provençal farmhouse that can accommodate 2 to 6 people. Classified as a 3-star gîte de France since 2021. Private outdoor Jacuzzi near the shaded courtyard (3 seats including 2 reclining with 56 jets).

ChezVéro Gîte "Le Juvaquatre"

Come and discover this beautiful farm from 1740, renovated only by David and Véro in 2017 (photo of renovation on USB stick visible on large screen TV). To visit the hilltop villages: La Garde Adhémar, Clansayes, Saint Restitut, as well as the markets of Nyons, Vaison la Romaine, less than an hour away the Gorges de l'Ardèche, the Pont du Gard, the crocodile greenhouse, the gorges of Toulourenc, the castles of Grignan, Suze la Rousse, Mont Ventoux (visible from the terrace). The owner lives next door.
