Stephanie was a great help getting inside as the second gate can be missed. But lovely cosy home perfect for winter getaway and exploring the area. Feeding the horses and ponies was a highlight and sitting outside by the fire pit looking at the stars was magical

Ellendale is an absolute gem of Kurmond. Super private, cosy, and beautifully appointed this cottage is all you’d ever want. All you see from your windows is nature. We loved the generous upstairs master bedroom with a separate sitting area, and of course the fire burner downstairs is where you’d hang out on a cool evening. Cannot recommend Ellendale high enough. We had a wonderful and relaxing weekend. The house was clean, tidy, and had everything we needed. Marilyn and her partner were amazing hosts who truly made us feel at home. You definitely need to stay here to fully enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Thank you for everything!

Our stay on the farm was wonderful from start to finish. The drive up the driveway was so beautiful and the location of the cabin is private enough but also close enough to Kathy if you need anything. We were so excited to see a wood burning fireplace all ready for us to light with firewood and kindling all done for us and Kathy offered to build a fire for us every day if we liked. The cabin was lovely and clean with warm linens, ample kitchen to cook in and heated AC which kept everything toasty in the cold weather. The farm is lovely and our highlights were: -Playing with Spud and his multiple sticks -Feeding the horses and petting them -Watching the sunrises -Feeding the chooks and collecting fresh eggs -Sitting by a warm fire every night playing board games Thanks so much to our friendly and welcoming hosts and we look forward to seeing you again!
