Vacation rentals in Kume Island

I was allowed to spend very comfortably.There is also a sunroom where outdoor water and laundry where I wash my swimsuit and sandals, I used it.

We had a washing machine, dishes, etc. and we had unlimited Netflix and were very comfortable! I would like to use it when I come to Kumejima again.

Kaori-san was incredibly kind and approachable, ensuring I had the best possible time in Kumejima—and I truly did! She provided thoughtful recommendations tailored to my interests, all of which were spot on. The house has all the advertised amenities, is well-kept, and remarkably clean. It isn't brand new, but that’s exactly what I was looking for—a vintage charm reminiscent of Japanese movies from the 90s or the countryside settings in Studio Ghibli films. While many see Kyoto as the quintessential Japanese experience (and it’s great, of course), this felt more like my kind of place. One highlight was booking a snorkeling trip with Kaori-san’s husband, which turned out to be unforgettable. He took me to a secluded spot accessible only by boat, where I swam alone in peaceful waters. The quiet allowed me to encounter a sea turtle and swim alongside her, as well as colourful, amusing fishes. A perfect blend of hospitality, charm, and adventure.

Mio helped us before we even set foot on Kumejima. She reserved our rental car for us at the airport. This allowed us to go directly to Maja after our arrival. Mio and her family warmly welcomed us there and showed and explained everything in their cute guest house. The cottage is nicely decorated. In the living room with tatami floor, we always set up our futon beds in the evening. They were very comfortable and we slept great on them. A very spacious mosquito net protects against nocturnal bloodsuckers ;o) In the kitchen equipment, you will find everything you need as a family, including children's dishes. 🩷 The garden is wonderfully green with many fruit shrubs. We used the washer and dryer, which was very convenient. On the terrace, we grilled very tasty food several times. The island is great to explore with a rental car. Mio gave us tips for restaurants, snorkeling trips and shopping.

We had a pleasant time ^_^ BBQ and late-night drinks while watching the screen🍶 It was great ^_^

A truly marvelous place surrounded by lovely people, beautiful fields, and charming birds. We had a delightful stay at Shinminka and the host put us in touch with a very kind agency who rented bike and became our friends. If you need a relaxing poetic time I would definitely recommend this place.

There were plenty of towels and other activities, and there was plenty of room for things to do such as the beach!
