My family had a great stay in this house. It’s very spacious! Definitely will recommend to everyone who wants to stay near to Mount Aso area.
A spacious terrace is furnished with a wooden table, six chairs, and a folding table. Large glass doors provide a view into the interior, while the grey walls create a modern aesthetic. Nearby structures blend harmoniously with the natural surroundings.

Newly built cottage Dahara N-3/BBQ/Hidden home

Stunning villa facing the mountains. The views on a clear day are gorgeous.l and you just feel like staying in and enjoying the views. Spacious and well thought out rooms and laundry/shower areas. Lovely Japanese style bathtub and all the amenities you need to be comfortable. Tradeoff is that it's in a rather quiet location (but we loved that) - you need to plan on advance for meals, or drive out to takeout food. There's really nothing much within walking distance. Fantastic base to explore the Aso region and would definitely recommend it to families looking for a quiet getaway. Small gripe is we would have loved if they provided some basics for using the charcoal BBQ as it's really impractical to have guests buy every single item needed. Or perhaps recommend shops in the area where we can pick those up before arriving.

Bed in Mixed Dorm / ドミトリー | Izumiya Hostel Ogawa

Good news: The host politely recommended local spots such as hot springs and izakaya to me, who was traveling alone. It was equipped with cooking utensils, a refrigerator, a microwave, pots, chopsticks and spoons, condiments, etc., so I had a very pleasant time during my stay. Also, on the last day, I became friends with two people from overseas, and after enjoying sightseeing together, we happened to live in the same area, and we had a wonderful connection where we returned to Fukuoka together. It was also impressive that I could spend time freely like at home. This is a hostel that I would especially recommend for solo travelers.Thank you very much. Worried about: I understood in advance, so there were no particular problems. At most, I was a little troubled about where to put my clothes when I used the bath.I couldn't reach the installation location above.Other than that, I'm very happy.
A serene ocean view is captured, showcasing the calm waters reflecting the soft hues of the sunset. The coastline is framed by lush hills, creating a tranquil atmosphere. Distant islands are visible under a gradually darkening sky, enhancing the scene's natural beauty.

Close to Aso Kumamoto Airport and Interchange/Recommended as a base for sightseeing in Kumamoto! /Private rental for up to 8 people/Historic Japanese architecture

AndrewRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The house is a beautiful old house nicely renovated. It is on the outskirts of Kumamoto just where the farms become forest. We stayed with 2 kids who loved the sliding doors and spacious rooms. We could drive to Kumamoto and Aso, and we had good yakitori from the nearby izakaya.
A well-lit bedroom features two spacious beds covered with light-colored bedding. Large windows allow natural light to fill the room, providing views of the outside greenery. The minimalist decor enhances the sense of comfort and relaxation.

We had a wonderful vacation during our stay at this nice, clean and convenient place. It would be better if the bed mattress can be harder.

Great place and a great host! Having been blocked on a motorcycle by the snow we arrived late and she was waiting for us to welcome us. The hot pot prepared by our host after several hours of motorcycling in the cold did us a world of good! Thank you so much!
