Mount Happy, indeed! Ankit’s place is in a really peaceful part of Hallan valley. The house has unobstructed views of the mountains! You can just laze around in the garden watching the mountains throughout the day. The house is also bathed in sunlight through the day. The house is equipped with technology, right from bed warmers to heaters to geysers to a fully equipped kitchen. The house has a library which is pretty well stocked. The house also has a small garden which results in the freshest of veggies for your salads. Ankit is a very hospitable host and went out of his way to ensure our comfort on multiple occasions. He was kind enough to even bake me some bread for my further travels. Sunita di (the caretaker) is a gem of a person and is always around to help. Definitely give her aloo parathas a try. A special mention to Bella and Brownie (the resident dogs) who are too damn friendly! So glad I came across this listing, and this definitely won’t be my last visit to this place!

The place where this house is extremely beautiful. It is secluded and difficult to reach but worth the extra effort t reach here. It snows here and makes the place more gorgeous. Sunil is a great host. The food was just amazing. We loved every meal they had to offer.

It was a wonderful stay, we stayed at the tree house which was a wonderful experience. It was a family vacation with our new family member our little kitten, the experience for her and us was great. The tree house, orchard and the lawn was our little one's favorite. Loved the wonderful home cooked food served, especially the Siddu and rajma. Ambrish is a very friendly host, you can ask him for local recommendation. Would recommend this place to people seeking peace and green surroundings yet drivable distance from Manali and Naggar.

It was much better than we expected. A perfect definition of quaint cottage stay in the woods. Outstanding hospitality. It felt like home. The garden, dining area and cottages are very picturesque. It gives the best view of the valley, so good that we wanted to stay in the cottage whole day n night instead of exploring.

We had a great time at Wayward Inn. It hardly felt like we were staying at an Airbnb. With Ved bhaiya and his family, it felt like we are just visiting our family in the mountains. The cottage is quaint and peaceful with the sound of the Jibhi river day and night. In clear nights, you can see a spectacular show with the stars. Their food is homemade and very tasty, with top quality produce used. We were obsessed with the orange juice there. Ved bhaiya also accompanied us and took us around the village and to Jalori Pass, and helped us with getting a car from Chandigarh as well. Can't wait to visit Wayward Inn again.

Everything was Fantastic. One thing to be improved is that they should use a bigger display board of their AirBnb. Else everything was perfectly fine. Mall road was just on 10 Mins walk which was perfectly fine. All over, I am very happy with the stay and the place.

Extremely beautiful location . Satyen and his team are very hospitable .It’s totally safe even if we travel solo . There was warmth and coziness in every aspect .I Wll recommend this property to nature lovers those who love wilderness yet be snug and comfortable . Keep it up 👍

I had a blessed stay in the house. The house was good with beautiful rooftop view which was very expansive to the mind. It's in a secluded location which I wanted so I appreciated the opportunity to go inward. Klaus and his team were very helpful throughout.

We have a great time at this place. The host - Ms.Dimple was extremely friendly and helpful. We felt at home. Wake up too late didn't mean we missed breakfast - which was great! The trout was fresh and delectable and the pancakes for breakfast too! Everything was perfect - specially the stream in front of the resort :) Shall send my parents there too!

The place is really beautiful- so beautiful that the pictures don't do justice to the reality. Vinay ji is a great host, always helpful and available with suggestions. A walk through the hill forest - with it's apple, cherry and wild species was a treat for all of us. The anecdotes and stories of the history of the land, local knowledge about various plant species and it's uses - really liked that part. Food was also great and like home cooked food. Our family of 9 simply loved every bit of it. My 2 year old daughter is still clamouring to go back to Kotgarh and I am promising her that we will try to be back next year 😀

i must start by saying Rajeev is a great host. he makes you feel right at home and always help you with anything he can. the place is beautiful, a cozy house l, surrounded by prestine mountains and view. there are a lot of small walks and hikes that you can explore it you like all that. i always like staying little outside Manali to hear the hustle bustle and this place is perfect. 20 minutes form manali and so quaint

Had a fantastic 4-night stay at this beautiful property. Rajeev was incredibly helpful and attentive, ensuring everything went smoothly from start to finish. The property itself was even better than the photos—spacious, peaceful, and perfectly maintained. Mornings were serene, with the first light slowly rising behind the mountains and birds chirping all around, creating a magical start to the day. Hot air balloons would drift into view from the balcony all throughout the day adding a surreal touch to the already stunning landscape. An ideal retreat for anyone looking to unwind in nature. The location was a great base to go visit other places, we ended up exploring lake Parashar, Rohtang pass among other nearby attractions.

We had a lovely stay at the villa wood rose. It has beautiful views of mountains and valley amid the apple orchard. This is a beautiful and well kept house with all the amenities. I give this place full marks.
