Option for an extra bed for 2 people thanks to the sofa bed in the living room. The living room cannot be darkened. There is a neat composting toilet in the yard, and the water is obtained from the sea with reverse osmosis.

Villa Monto d'Oro is an old ranch in the quiet rural Tesjoki area of Loviisa, 1 hour drive from Helsinki. The midcentury farmhouse is very much in it's original glory with only the basic modern amenities added for comfort like hot water supply, AC and WIFI. Here it's possible to experience the Finnish sauna, watch the stars at night and wake up to the chirping of birds in the morning and go hiking in the nature or take a bicycle ride to the town of Loviisa.

The house was built in 1948, just after the Continuation War. Information about its history is a bit difficult to find, but at some point the house has been inhabited by stevedores working in the nearby old port, and from that the house has been named the "stevedore house".
