Villa Vonkka - a stunning island spot by the sea

We had a wonderful holiday season at Larissa's island vacation home. Our 3 families felt right at home in this large, very personal house in the southern archipelago of Finland, from the shot and yet quite close to Kotka and Helsinki. From the airport it is only an hour to the jetty and from there you will soon be on the island. The cottage is wonderfully located on the southern tip of the island. There is plenty of space to linger inside (4 separate bedrooms are really exceptional) and outside, sun and wind all day. This is how the weeks are (too) fast. The kitchen is very well equipped. Even with a large chalkboard, everything is not a test, again both indoors and outdoors. The new sauna gets warm quickly. It offers a beautiful view to the sea. Larissa is a great host and so we had very nice days. I fully recommend Villa Vonkka, assuming some experience in island life.

We had an excellent family weekend getaway. The place is peaceful and the cottage very well oriented with sea and forest views. The sauna was working perfectly and we were able to test swimming in cold water. Despite the rain, our stay was very nice. The interior is very cocooning and good for reading with plenty of nooks for everyone. The place should also be crazy in the summer for nature lovers.

Mikko & Pekka's cottage is an extremely peaceful and comfortable place to stay. The view of the river & surrounding forest offer a heavenly living environment while being close to all amenities. We loved the sauna and veranda. I hope we get the chance to come back in winter!

Recently renovated modern apartment, equally suitable for short- and long-term stays. Has all the essential appliances, including a stove, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Clean and comfortable. Conveniently located right next to a bus stop, with 2 large supermarkets 5 minutes away. Communication with the host was timely and helpful.

A cabin is set among trees, featuring a wooden deck and steps leading to a well-maintained lawn. The peaceful waterfront can be seen beyond the grassy area, with rocks partially visible in the water. The surrounding nature enhances the serene atmosphere.

Approximately 65m2 seaside cottage with all amenities and a great yard. Drive from Helsinki 1h 45 min by freeway. Cottage in good condition, good breathing air. 6 beds and good quality beds. Cabin equipment: shower, water toilet, sink, electricity, tap water, refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, TV, stove, washer, dishwasher. Linens and towels are included in the rent. Great view of the sea. The minimum rental period is 1 week (Fri-Fri), so it's rented for at least a week of 600 ewk (not VAT).
