Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make you trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, it's Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". We have 25 acres of wildlife-friendly land, new woodland and riverside - lots of places to explore. Views of the Ochil Hills and countryside are fabulous. Children and well-behaved pets are welcome.

Dating back to the 1700s, this tiny house had sat empty for over 50 years until George (Heather's son) invested his life savings to completely renovate it to a high standard, while retaining the original character of the building. Sitting below Bishop Hill in the picturesque village of Kinnesswood (2023 joint winner of Britain in Bloom's 'Village' category!), the tiny house is surrounded by breathtaking views, fantastic walks, and an abundance of local farm shops, cafes, and restaurants.

The Great Hall, Dollarbeg Castle

This 2 bedroom apartment is the beautifully converted former Great Hall of Dollarbeg Castle. Built in 1890, Dollarbeg Castle was the last gothic baronial style building of its type ever built. Beautifully restored in 2007 to the very highest standards, it was converted into 10 luxury properties, one of which is a conversion of the original "Great Hall" with its vaulted ceiling and majestic views across the formal grounds towards the Ochil Hills in the distance.

The Hayloft has been turned into a light and airy flat above our stables. We live next to a path which takes you north to the Ochils or south to the beautiful Gartmore Water: perfect if you are a walker or a cyclist. The nearby village of Dollar has a castle, cafes, a pub and a restaurant. We are 40 minutes from Edinburgh airport, 25 minutes from Gleneagles Hotel, 20 minutes from Stirling and an hour from the centre of both Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Stylishly converted Bothy by River Earn

The Bothy is stylishly converted from two jold stone farm cottages into a luxurious 2 bedroom cottage. The decor is a mix between birch ply panelling and polished cement, giving it a modern Scandi/Scottish feel, yet not losing its original charm and farm history. Some of the furniture has been made from beech and cedar from our farm. With view across the River Earn and surrounding hills, this is a perfect place to come, explore, unwind and relax.
