Peedie Cott, Orkney

RobertRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Lounge/kitchen and bathroom downstairs, double bedroom upstairs, neat small garden and deck. Bright and airy, just like in the photos. Admirably clean throughout. Comfortable bed. Welcoming selection of books and games, also nice welcome pack of goodies. All kitchen staples were there, so no need to run to the shops for salt or Fairy liquid! The weather forecast was iffy, so Cathy provided logs and kindling for the log burner. It turned out that they were not needed: the heat pump did its job. We loved the cottage and St Margaret’s Hope, a small sleepy village near the ferry terminal. The cottage might not be suitable for more elderly guests as the stairs up to the bedroom are quite steep. The village might be too small and sleepy for others. Top marks for us though.

North Walls Kirk

JennyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
My friends and I loved the space and light and comfort of the Kirk. We came all the way from Norfolk on trains and ferries and fell in love with the land and seas and community of Hoy. The peace is deep here ... no background hum. I love to see the sea around me. We cycled over to Rackwick Bay which was exhilarating and went to cafe church at Emily's which was connecting. Thanks so much I hold these islands with me now. From Jen

Attractive 2 bed property in central Kirkwall

BridgetRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Tara and Kerry have hosted us before, once at this property, and a couple of occasions at other local properties. What stood out is that they respond immediately when asked a question or clarification. This is so helpful when you are away! This is a comfortable, convenient property and we don’t hesitate to recommend the comfy bed, good shower and cosy sitting room. The kitchen seems well appointed although we didn’t use it much!

Exceptional 4 bed converted church with hot tub

HelenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Beautiful space. As a family we enjoyed cooking together & playing games in the evening. The hot tub was great, we used it everyday. The views from every room were amazing and it was so peaceful and tranquil. Local neighbours farmers and the wildlife were all very friendly. It was welcoming from the moment we arrived. Ideally located to visit places and a short drive into Kirkwall. Would highly recommend and define visit again. Very friendly and accommodating hosts!

Pentland View Caravans, John O Groats, Caithness

TobyRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Caroline’s house was absolutely lovely. It was cosy and had everything we needed to cook our meals. The surrounding area is stunning as well, do take a walk outside after dinner just to take in the landscape! We had enough space as 4 adults, but I think any more adults will be just a wee bit crowded. Parking was also really easy and everything was perfect :-)

Bankside Apartment Flat 3

HannahRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Really enjoyed my stay here. Was here for 2 weeks and was really happy with it. I didn’t realise there was no bedroom and it was just a sofa bed but that’s because I didn’t read the listing properly! The sofa bed was still very comfortable and there is enough space for sure. The area was a bit loud at night from teenagers kicking about but I think it must just be because of Easter break. Nice stay otherwise :)

Tesco, Lidl and few restaurants are nearby the location. 15 mins drive to the Lands End - John Groaths.

The flat is a little gem with lots of little added things to make it pretty: pictures, photos, nice curtains etc. When we arrived the electric fire and classic FM were on. A special touch. Super quiet. The view is amazing and it is only 10 minutes walk to Stromness. Super easy to access by car and then travel into the island. Highly recommend.

I have lived in this apartment fore three month now, and I have been really happy with everything. The apartment is nicely equipped, and everything is nice and clean. For me is has been then perfect place to relax, after long working days on projects in the local area. The host, Steven, has been a really good host. Whenever there was anything with the apartment, he got it fixed straight away. I can only give Steve and the apartment 5 stars.

Scarva - Lovely apartment (New listing June 2024)

ShelleyRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Scarva is truly the most wonderful Airbnb that we have ever stayed in! It’s location in Kirkwall is perfect… The cathedral is right down the street and there is a market as well as a specialty market right across the road. The apartment itself is decorated beyond words and feels like home. We cooked at home and relaxed in the beautiful living room after full days of exploring the islands. You will not be sorry… Book this place before it gets booked up!
