Upon discovering the charming little house nestled at the bottom of the hill beside the river, one immediately senses a truly exceptional experience awaits. The décor is exquisite, the bed supremely comfortable, and the peace and tranquility of the location are difficult to put into words. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

What a find, the lodge was just as described and shown in the photos. I already know there will be a return visit! High quality furnishings with every detail covered. The lodge was so comfortable and set in the most beautiful surroundings and that amazing view, wow! Communicating with Phoebe was seamless and who thought of everything - a first class property!

The cabin couldn’t have been more relaxing! Exactly what we needed after a long travel to start our trip. We were able to relax and unwind with the outdoor bath and fire pit and the chilled champagne and breakfast basket were perfect on arrival! Thanks to Mandy for giving us the best recommendation on a local golf course, Murrayshall was gorgeous and challenging! Thanks for this little gem Alice we hope to be back!

Wow! What a beautiful place to stay. So much so we got married here today, the photos are gorgeous! Stunning views from every angle. Comfy, cozy and luxurious!

Lovely stay and very helpful host. The lodge is spacious, clean and private and a great location for exploring the area. Only criticism would be the noise from the boiler and fridge were a little disturbing for sleeping in the adjacent bedroom.

Sasha’s place was wonderful and the hot tub was easy to use. Place was roomy and clean. Very cozy stay, would recommend!

Close enough to the Banchory grocery stores and many restaurants, but out in a nice quiet country setting with a beautiful view out the living room floor-to-ceiling windows. We loved the hot tub on the back deck with its crystal clear water. The cabin warms up fast when it’s cool outside. This was a lovely place to stay a few days while exploring Aberdeenshire.

Loved our stay here! The place is a little difficult to find the first time (go further up A833 by a few yards more than your GPS says). Really relaxing and well appointed little cabin. Served as a perfect base for our jaunts around the area.

We had a lovely stay at David and Elizabeth's place. The cabin is compact, modern and homely and had everything we needed for our stay. The views are absolutely incredible and we very much enjoyed sitting and looking out at them and having a break from the digital noise of WiFi and television! The mobile network was good enough to use for keeping in touch and looking things up if necessary. We both felt very safe and at peace in the cabin! The grounds are beautiful and our two little dogs absolutely adored running around and exploring the surroundings! David was very responsive and helpful on arrival and helped us with the check-in. We met Elizabeth shortly after when we had a surprise visit from a very cute little shrew who unfortunately couldn't stay with us! Elizabeth was very quick to help resolve the situation and help our visitor back out into the wild! Don't hesitate to book if you are looking for a restful retreat in beautiful nature! We will be back :)

A really comfortable and peaceful place to stay. We stopped just for one night and immediately wished we had more time to stay. Instructions to get to the cabin were very helpful and clear. We really enjoyed our visit and loved the added bonus of seeing the animals!

Whether you are walking, cycling or arriving by car the location is great and surrounded by stunning countryside. An ideal weekend away location it is private, cozy and easy to settle in. Laura was responsive and made great recommendations in town. I will be back, but for longer next time!

Lovely stay at Morag's lodge, perfect for what we needed, comfortable, quiet, peaceful, surrounded by nature in the woods. We had everything we needed and the place was very clean and tidy. Morag was very clear and communicative! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Cozy little cabin in a very beautiful village, close to a few Munro's. The gardens are beautiful if you can brave the midgies or the wind is up. lot of nice walks around through beautiful woods, by the riverside and through wildflower meadows if you don't fancy a Munro.

A fantastic getaway lodge in one of Scotland's most stunning locations, so peaceful and relaxing. A great base for both heading out to explore and coming back to chill out. Can't wait to return!

We really enjoyed our stay! The lodge was spotless & a great space. Our dog absolutely loved the outdoor area & it was ideal for him to run around. We would definitely recommend The Howe Hideaway!

We stayed here after a wedding at Kinkell Byre. The cabin was just as described and easily accessible after our event. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was fantastic. When leaving both my partner and I wished we could have spent more time there! Highly recommended.

Excellent accommodation and location, a real memorable trip. The restaurant is pretty much 'on-site' and was excellent. One negative - the hob. Seems like a small thing but when you are cooking for 8 and struggling to hold water at the boil it is frustrating. It was so weak. Since it is accommodation for 8, it really ought to be a more powerful hob. Frying bacon took *ages* ! Otherwise amazing, and highly recommended *****

Myself and partner stayed here over the weekend and had an amazing time. Paul went above and beyond by preparing balloons,banners, and a card for my partners birthday. The cabin was really cosy and views in the morning and evening were beautiful. We were both sad to leave. Can’t wait to come back again!

We booked last min as a surprise for my partners birthday. The cabin was amazing! It was cosy & peaceful! Exactly what we needed for a quiet weekend away. Amy & Angus were helpful with directions & even asking if we needed anything else during our stay. I’d 100% recommend this adorable little hideaway. We loved waking up to the birds singing and having a coffe on the little deck. We didn’t want to come home

Highly recommend!! Beautiful lodges in a stunning location. Close to lots of tourist attractions. We loved watching the animals from the lodge and from the hot tub! We stayed with our son who loved exploring

We spent a wonderful moment in pat’s cottage. It was so cosy and spotless. We saw deers every morning. Pat was a fantastic host and recommended very interesting places to visit.
