Monthly Rentals in Kirkjubæjarklaustur

We loved our stay at Maddis cottages. The studio felt more spacious than it appeared in pictures. We had plenty of room to relax and keep our luggage organized. The cottage felt up to date and very clean. These were the best black out curtains we had on our trip, which made for a very restful summer sleep with the midnight sun. All in all a beautiful location, wonderful spot to explore the south coast, and very modern and clean. I will be recommending this spot to friends the most of all the locations I stayed in Iceland.

This listing was my favorite out of several bookings traveling around the ring road West Fjords and Snæfellsness Peninsula. It was perfect for a family of 5 & capable of accommodating more. The kitchen was well equipped. Honestly, I feel that the listing & the pictures don’t really adequately describe the beauty and convenience of this property. I really appreciated the little touches. Plenty of hot water without the sulfur odor. The crushed ice maker on the fridge was a much appreciated creature comfort. The beds were very comfy and for cold natured people there were heaters in each room including the bathrooms. There wasn’t a washer or dryer but I hand washed things & easily hung them to dry. I would 100% recommend to everyone!

Absolutely incredible space. It’s a peaceful environment off the beaten path and located next to a sheep farm. We felt right at home and would absolutely love to stay here again in the future.

The truck converted into a wooden cabin was super cool and cozy! We were incredibly lucky. And also, Audur was incredibly kind! She showed us their horses and chickens, and also a foal that had just been born five days earlier. There were also two enthusiastic dogs who loved being petted. I was overjoyed! Audur also shared stories about her life and told us a lot about Iceland. Which we really appreciated The 3 days we spent here were truly wonderful and unforgettable.
