Another long stay at Forge End has come to an end for my self and work colleague. Again a big thank you to Alea for accommodating us and looking after us over the past 13 weeks and during the booking process. Forge End has been a real home from home for us and has made a long period working away from home a really enjoyable. Your home in Applecross is real find for us and if/when we are required to visit Applecross you will be our first choice every time. Thank you again from both of us.

One of the loveliest places we've ever stayed! Superb and spacious accommodation, beautifully decorated and really well & thoughtfully equipped - it will *exceed* your expectations. With the sauna and hot tub, it's not easy to drag yourself out of the house! And to top it off, the view across the loch is utterly mesmerising. Vivienne was a great host, letting us know everything we needed and leaving a lovely welcome pack. The house is in a peaceful location that is still handy for the main road and great for interesting local walks .... if you can drag yourself away! Can't recommend highly enough 😊

Roskhill cottage is awesome. We spent 5 nights here and made our stay truly special. The house have everything you may need and more, the beautiful view and garden filled with flowers, the BBQ hut it’s a great plus, comfortable beds, impeccable clean, good size bathroom and shower, close to little groceries stores, delicious bakery and good coffee, Dunvegan Castle and gardens and fantastic walkings around, plus gorgeous Coos cows! Really worthy place. Highly recommended.

Ein wunderschön gelegenes kleines Tinyhaus mit einem fantastischen Ausblick und wunderschönem Garten. Die Ausstattung war perfekt, das Raumangebot für die Größe super. Nach Ullapool ist es ein Weg von ca. 30 Minuten. Problemlos machbar, wenn das Wetter mitspielt.

Great location with fantastic views. The hot tub was easy to use and very nice after a long day of hiking. Beds were comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating.

Wow!! What a beautiful spot! Betty’s lookout was perfectly outfitted for our party of three and we enjoyed both the cabin, the hot tub, the wood burning stove and the views!!! We were so lucky to get the pleasure of the incredible food, service and ambience of Monkstadt 1745 for dinner while there. Making our bucket list trip to Scotland and Isle of Skye so very special. Thank you for an incredible experience.

Outstanding! The cottage was perfect: from the views of the three lochs, the castle, and the surrounding countryside to the relaxing and private amenities and yard. We couldn’t be more pleased with the rental and especially the hosts Karen and Graham. We would highly recommend their 5-star property!

great stay at obbe view! gorgeous views and an easy to find location with plenty of space and kitchen amenities. if you are staying in the summer, recommend an eye mask to block out the long hours of sunlight! enjoyed the skylights in the bedrooms for natural lighting. thanks for a great stay.

Beautiful cottage. Felt out of the way but was close to road into portree. Very warm building, bathroom and rooms superb. Would highly recommend and revisit. Visiting sheep was an added bonus!

Very responsive and polite owners when we needed them. The cottage was beautiful with recommendations of places to visit. Stunning views from the living room watching the sun set and beautiful garden for the dogs to roam. Not too far away from lovely walks out in the country, and the shops in the town nearby, isn’t too much of a drive. The cottage also has all the kitchen utensils you could need and plenty storage space. Felt very welcoming and clean when we arrived too

Wir haben eine sehr schöne Woche im Ferienhaus verbracht. Wer Abgeschiedenheit und Ruhe sucht ist hier genau richtig. Das Haus ist sehr modern, schön eingerichtet und wir haben uns gleich wohl gefühlt. Unsere Hunde haben den eingezäunten Garten sehr genossen. Obwohl Hunde erlaubt sind und auch Decken für sie bereitliegen, war das Haus bei unserer Ankunft sehr sauber. Wir können die Unterkunft nur empfehlen. Man sollte sich aber klar sein, dass es sehr abgelegen liegt. Drum herum sind zwar andere Häuser, aber kein wirklicher Ort o.Ä. Zu Fuß oder mit dem Auto erreicht man tolle Strände, richtige Wanderwege haben wir leider nicht gefunden, man geht meistens an der Straße lang oder durch Schafskoppeln (Hunde anleinen!) Für ein paar Tage Zweisamkeit und Ruhe ein Traum!

We really enjoyed our stay at Johan‘s cottage and would love to come back for a longer stay at some point. The cottage has all the necessities and the kitchen is well equipped. Everything was clean and tidy. The cottage is in a beautiful but secluded area. So if you are looking for some peace and quiet, it is absolutely perfect.

Very cozy home in Luib. There are NO restaurants nearby, either cook at home or eat before you will reach there. Wonderful view from therrace across the Loch to the opposite mountains

A wonderful stay! We were very sorry to leave the lovely Indigo cottage! Would highly recommend a stay here. Spotlessly clean, great facilities, gorgeous views and very helpful, responsive hosts. Only 20 minutes from Portree. Sheep for neighbours and the walk to the pub for a delicious dinner, recommended by our hosts, was perfect.

Garramor was a wonderful cottage . The furnishings were to a very high standard . It was situated in beautiful surroundings with greenery and wildlife on your doorstep. The cottage is even nicer than the photographs . Eileen left us some generous gifts and was very responsive when I asked to add a night to our booking . We had a wonderful stay and hope return . Beautiful house and location, next to a stream, set in woodland and much bigger than we expected. The beds were super comfortable and there was everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. Maggie popped in to see us on arrival and on the day we left just to say there was no rush to check out for 10.00am. She had even turned on the heating as although we were visiting in May, the weather had turned cold. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

Out of all the places that we stayed while in Scotland, this was our favorite. It felt very homey and comfortable and super clean. We had a few visitors like chickens and a little lost sheep named Lucky Bucky. It was a beautiful home with all the amenities. The shower was very nice and hot and strong. The bed was comfortable in the bedding was luxurious. It wasn't but a ten minute drive to town to get groceries or go to a restaurant to eat. Location to the isle of skye was perfect. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

Elizabeth’s house is a traditional house but yet equipped with a huge array of features like dishwasher and washer to keep up with our laundry needs. Toys, basketball and Netflix definitely keep my kids entertained. Most importantly is the jaw dropping view of the sheep and greenery with the Braes in the background when you look out of the window. A friendly and hospitable host who is willing to go the extra mile! 👍

Grants house is Stylish, clean and with beautiful views over Loch Harport. Handy for Carbost 1m away, which offers a good pub, cafe and Distillery. Only 30 mins from Portree which has nearly everything you need. It is obviously loved and cared for by the owner.

Being a long time traveler I can honestly say that Alex’ place is THE most beautiful house I have ever been. We were looking forward to “coming home” after each day trip. Alex has been more than a host. It felt like having a friend on Skye. We will definitely be back - we loved it ◡̈

The cottage is beautifully modernised and has all the amenities you could want but the bench at the back overlooking the water is outstanding. I spent hours sitting there, watching the birds and the boats.........usually with a dram of Isle of Harris whisky not far away.

This was my favorite place to stay along our trip. The home was warm and cozy, beds were so comfortable, and having a nice fire to enjoy the mountain view and rain was a perfect evening in.

We had a wonderful stay at Jackie & Rob’s place! The house was incredibly spacious and bright and we spent most of our time in the beautiful sun room if we weren’t out exploring. It was a perfect place to eat, have a cup of tea, or play games. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals and it was exceptionally clean and organized. The entire house had incredible views regardless of which floor you were on! We also loved getting to watch the baby lambs next door! It was the perfect peaceful retreat to come back to each night. Jackie was absolutely lovely and attentive leading up to and during our stay! It was great knowing our stay was in such good hands. :) Uig was a fantastic location to make as home base for exploring all the beauty Skye has to offer so do not pass this place up!! Thank you again, Jackie & Rob, for a truly enjoyable stay!
