Mökki means "cottage" in Finnish. Enjoy your time in a special place surrounded by nature. Guest house Mökki is located in Shinano-cho, which is blessed with forests, lakes, and snow in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture, and there are many natural places nearby such as Kurohime Kogen, Lake Nojiri, and Togakushi. Feel free to use the entire building, which has been renovated with natural materials such as cedar, cypress, and plaster, as well as the natural garden that creates seasonal scenery and the forest where the stream flows.You can see birds, squirrels, and martens in the forest, and you can enjoy walking around looking for wild vegetables and mushrooms, as well as swings and hammocks. We also paid attention to the interior of the room and kitchen utensils so that you can enjoy "living". At the pavilion by the stream, you can enjoy BBQs and campfires without worrying about the weather. In the green season, it is the perfect base for hiking, fishing, paddle boarding, and golf, and in the snow season, it is also the perfect base for winter sports. This is a tranquil space inspired by the design of an old Japanese house.The living room features a large sunken kotatsu-style hearth where you can enjoy meals and drinks.There is also a four-seat counter bar. With Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort, Shiga Kogen, Madarao Kogen Ski Resort, and Tozari Onsen Ski Resort nearby, it is the perfect base for winter sports.There are eight golf courses that can be reached in about 30 minutes, including the Madarao Country Club, which is a 5-minute drive away during the green season, and there are also many day-use hot spring facilities.The owner lives on the right side of the building after going up the front entrance, can be contacted at any time, and understands English at the level of everyday conversation.During the green season, fresh vegetables from our own garden can be harvested at any time, and you can also enjoy a barbecue on the gazebo in the garden.The garden is also spacious, so you can enjoy a short walk or the like.Iiyama is famous for its green asparagus, which can be enjoyed from May to July, and there is a roadside station nearby where you can enjoy fresh vegetables and delicious soba noodles.

This house overlooks Lake Nojiri and has a superb view. There are several ski resorts (Myoko, Kurohime, Madarao) about 15-20 minutes away by car, making it a perfect base for winter sports. Enjoy the wood stove sauna and the water bath with a view. There are no private houses around, so you can listen to music and watch movies loudly. Because it is a house located deep in the mountains, we take the best measures, but in the warm season, insects come out. It snows a lot in winter. In autumn, fallen leaves dance. You will also need to adjust the wood stove fire yourself. It's not an easy house to live in, but we promise you a great view and experience. Enjoy cooking with a counter kitchen with a view, condiments and cooking utensils. (There is no equipment for BBQ)

After procuring fresh ingredients locally, move to the Rock Forest, park your car in the parking lot, and go up the stairs to bring the ingredients to the hearth space. You won't see any other people. It is 60 minutes by Shinkansen from Tokyo to Karuizawa, and 30 minutes by car from Karuizawa Station, so you can work in the morning and take a half-day off in the afternoon, for example. Capsule House-K, a monumental capsule house in nature designed by Kisho Kurokawa

CAPUSULE HOUSE-K is a private house designed by Kisho Kurokawa. It was created based on the concepts of Metabolism and Homo Mobius. This building is composed of the same capsules as the Chugin Capsule Tower Building, which is also a metabolism building, and was completed in 1973, the year after the building was completed. Until now, it has been open only to a few people and was a little-known building, but in 2019, the restoration was started by Kisho Kurokawa's son, and now it is open to the public with the interior of that time.
