Banaue Chalet (Downstairs Level)

WhitneyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We really enjoyed our stay! It was the perfect home base for exploring the rice terraces. We came with friends who stayed in the top unit while we stayed in the bottom. The house was beautiful and exactly like the photos-spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The bathroom was large, and the kitchen was well equipped. If you plan to cook (as we did every night), everything you need is there. There were occasional bugs that got inside due to the lights and the open doors and windows, but this wasn’t a big deal for us. Batad was only about a 45-min to 1-hour drive away, and the Banaue Rice Terraces were just 10 minutes away. There are also many smaller rice terraces nearby. Note that you’ll need to go down a set of steep stairs from the parking area to reach the house. Argie, the on-site caretaker, lives there with his wife and their adorable kids. He was very responsive and helpful with any requests or questions, and even helped us load the car when we left. We would definitely return!
A seating area features a wooden chair with a relaxed posture. A scenic view of lush mountains and the rice terraces is visible in the background. Potted plants add a touch of greenery beside a carved stone figure.

The location is beautiful with an enchanting view! Grace is very kind and accommodating. The room is basic but good. As there is no internet sometimes getting contact takes a bit longer. As for directions: from "the saddle" point to Batad, keep left until you see the "top view inn" sign.
Lush green rice terraces cascade down the mountainside, showcasing a vibrant landscape. Rolling hills and valleys are visible in the background, while a small building is nestled amongst the trees, adding a touch of human presence to the serene environment.
