Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Kernville

A perfect quick getaway for my wife and pup! Looked even better than the pictures provided on airbnb and had everything we could ask for. The stay was comfortable, peaceful, and without any hiccups. Communication was great throughout. Would definitely stay here again if back in the area!

From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and the peaceful, quiet atmosphere. The house itself is cozy and comfortable. The outdoor space is a true highlight — perfect for relaxing or even having dinners on the deck and enjoying the sunsets. The host was responsive, kind, and made check-in seamless. If you're looking for a tranquil escape with stunning scenery i can't recommend this place enough. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Quito was great with communication and was quick to respond. Helpful and easy going. House was clean, comfortable and felt like home. Though there is nothing walking distance from the house, but the local attractions are just few minute drives away.

The Yellow Jacket Retreat is still our favorite place to stay in Kernville. The layout of the house provides 2 private bedrooms/bathrooms with a fabulous gathering area and fully equipped kitchen. It was easy to check in and check out. Quiet neighborhood and lovely surroundings. We will definitely be back!

Wish we had been able to stay here longer! We found this gem as we were looking for a pit stop on our road trip. The instructions are so clear, that even in the pitch black of 11pm, we had no problem finding this home. Waking up to the beautiful landscape in the morning was a pleasant surprise and had us wishing we could have enjoyed this home longer. Thanks for being a great pit stop and host!

This property was an amazing space for my friends and I to enjoy the lake! I think it's the best spot in the entire area to relax and enjoy all that the lake has to offer. Deborah was extremely helpful and kind! We will definitely be coming back here soon.

A real gem, clean and spacious. What we enjoyed most about this space is that we were 13 people and even though only 6 of us stayed at this space, they had dishes and silverware and plenty of seating so that we could all unite for dinner and breakfast, much appreciated, will be our stop for sure when we go tubing next year, if we are so lucky for them to have us again 🤗 🥰

I was looking for a clean, quiet, and peaceful place to spend a month and Paul's was exactly it. Paul and Caroline are nice and friendly people.

We stayed at Paul's house for a month and liked it very much. This place has a great kitchen (number and quality of utensils, spices, coffee, oils, etc. - we enjoyed cooking there). Both beds were comfortable, there were also two desks suitable for work. Great views from the windows, walkable grocery, the lake is beautiful, and many cool hikes nearby. Internet may be slow at times due to the weather though. The washer/dryer inside was a nice bonus. Paul is a super host, check-in was easy and he even got us extra coffee!
