What a beautiful spot, even more stunning in real life. Very cozy and it makes you feel right at home. The entire building is beautiful and it was delightful waking up to the surrounding golden trees in the morning. The wine Jason left, presumably from his wine shop, was delicious. We can’t wait to come back and stay here again.

My boyfriend and I had a great stay with our dog. It is a short walk to the shops. It was great having access to a backyard area where I could take my dog out to use the bathroom. The place was cozy with great natural lighting and Jennifer was super approachable and responded promptly to any questions. We forgot a tool for cooking so we reached out to her and she brought it over to us. SO kind!! Highly recommend a stay at Freeport at Jennifers place.

What a special special place - the place is a very cute destination for a little getaway! The house is located on their massive property where you're far enough from any neighbors or the road that you truly feel like you are in nature. Expect to see Deer and Turkeys wandering around the property as well as countless squirrels and chipmunks running between the trees. It's only about a 20minute drive into Portland, but you also have access to so many cute hiking trails and I'd definitely recommend driving north up to Tassel Top Park where you'll be met with a very cute campground and picture perfect beach and lake!

This place was perfect for a quick weekend getaway with my dog! Lots of outdoors for us to explore but a short 5-10 dive to Freeport. The hosts were super responsive when I had a question and the information they send about the house was amazing! I will definitely be back!

My stay here was delightful. I was in the area for work, and it was a bonus I could find a place where I could bring my dog. I arrived rather late, after dark and in the rain, and Vivian was kind enough to come out to direct me where to go. And the lights she had turned on in advance of my arrival in the dark were welcoming. I appreciated the details - the breakfast foods and even milk in the frigde, and even four different methods for making coffee provided! The place was comfortable, clean, and light-filled. The views over Little Wilson Pond to the mountains beyond were spectacular, even in March. My only regret is, as I woke beautiful light of sunrise streaming through the window, that I didn't get up to enjoy the sunrise properly! I will definately stay here again if I'm up that way overnight for work again, so glad I found it.,

I love staying at Nina and Tony's Brunswick Beata when I visit Maine. Nina and Tony are pure gems and great to talk to. The barn is spaciaous and comfortable. The garden is always delightful even in the waning Fall. So cozy and relaxing! I will return again and again!

Always a joy to stay at Small Point with this host. What a special place in the world to go and checkout. Unfortunately Nan was traveling and I was looking so forward to seeing her. Petr’s place was as described. Very comfortable and hosts were super responsive to any questions or concerns. They have a super friendly cat who’s not shy and loves to be petted. Off street dedicated parking was great. Private entrance. A few things to know: 1. If you’re staying for less than 5 days they charge $10 per load to use the laundry machines. I’ve stayed at a lot of Airbnb and this was the first time I’ve seen a host charge to use laundry machines. No charge if you’re staying more than 5 days. 2. Internet connection is fine for the most part but you may run into issues if you’re trying to stream something live like YouTube TV. I had no issues with things like Netflix but had some issues when trying to live stream things like NFL games. 3. The bathroom ceiling is suuuuupppper low. I’m 6’0” and my head could touch the ceiling when on my tip toes. No big deal if you’re under 6’4” or so. But if you’re on the taller end of the spectrum I suspect this would be annoying.

Had everything we needed and so much more! The room was very nice, felt like a pristine boutique hotel, but even better. Plenty of everything in terms of towels, robes, miscellaneous supplies, and lots of little extras like snacks, toiletries, mints on the bedside table, first aid kit, games, wine opener, ice in the freezer - it felt just like being at home when you need something on a whim: it's exactly where you thought it would be! The host was very responsive to a few questions I had, and very respectful of our privacy - like even though people live in the main home, we felt completely at ease and private in our own little oasis. Also very short ride to town for dinner and a convenience store trip. I would definitely stay here again if the opportunity presents itself.

Clorinda and Dick were spectacular. From the moment we arrived they were extremely accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. If we are ever back in the Portland area, we will definitely be staying here. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay here! It was close to Caswell farms which we were at for a wedding. Alison was so kind and helpful. She went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed! Would absolutely stay here again.

Doug’s studio is exactly what you see in the pictures. The space was squeaky clean and everything you’d need for a comfortable stay. There are parks, coffee houses, and a couple restaurants within walking distance which make this stay very convenient if you like to take walks. It was also very quiet in the space and my kids and I were very comfortable!

This was the perfect stay! Carrie’s place was clean, adorable, thoughtfully outfitted, and just generally a space we looked forward to coming back to at the end of our days traveling around mid-coast Maine. The town of Thomaston is super cute and having a walkable grocery store and little cafe made our trip extra sweet. Carrie as a host was the best part. She is super accommodating, available, and kind. She offered to set up the Murphy bed for us when we were checking in after a super long drive and was really gracious when we had to cut our trip a little short unexpectedly. You can tell she’s put a lot of thought and care into her space and guest comfort. Truly an ideal host. We’re already looking forward to returning!

We had a very relaxing stay at Carl & Rose's place. It was a very cozy space on a rainy fall weekend. Lots of fleece blankets, pillows and tea made us feel warm and welcome. The oversized reclining couch and 4-poster bed were super comfy. The height of the bed was a bit intimidating at first but quite luxurious once you sink into the soft supportive mattress. Great home base for exploring the beautiful scenery of Maine and nearby NH, especially with the leaves in full color.

Our family really enjoyed our stay. The house is great - beautiful, cheerfully decorated, charming woodwork, plenty of entertainment and games for kids and adults. If renting the entire house, there is ample space for 2-3 families with kids. The listing pictures are accurate. We had a slight issue upon check-in, but Steve was quick to respond and went above and beyond to address the issue. That is the mark of a caring and responsible host. We were very happy with the house, and we look forward to returning next year.

Lovely cottage feel during my stay with the well appointed features, homely atmosphere and welcome treats! Great communications and help from the owners next door. Useful to have a few books in the evening and relax quietly. Really enjoyed my short break.

Dan is very friendly, great communication and eager to assist in what you might need. His place is cozy and easy to get to.

Anna's place was a gem! Very family-friendly home and surrounding property. The place was spacious for a family of 3! Kitchen was well-stocked for us to make most meals right there. Plenty of towels and linens available. Comfortable stay! Freeport, Portland, and other things to do are also not far at all. Anna was a very friendly and responsive host, and we felt welcomed by all on the property! Thanks for a great stay.

We stayed a second night in Chris and Justin’s guest suite. It was very comfortable and quiet, they are excellent hosts.

This place is an absolute gem! From the linens to the fixtures, lighting, decor, artwork…all of it, cozy, refined rustic luxury meticulously curated to equal the laid back charm of an old family place passed through the generations. Seemingly in the middle of nowhere, tranquil and remote, yet close enough to all the things, you will find everything you need without the clutter of things you don’t. This is a great place to unwind, sleep like a log, (the beds are super comfy, and it smells SO good) and take a few steps back in time…just a truly elevated experience worth every penny! I live right up the road, and will refer all my overflow guests here, as well as book again for myself! We hated to leave, can’t wait to come back!

hands down, the best airbnb i’ve ever stayed at. the place was super clean and it was supplied with everything any guest would need. the vibe of this place made me super comfortable and warm. i enjoyed my time here and i wish i never had to leave. 10/10

Cute little space that was very clean and quiet. Comfortable mattress. I booked at the last minute and Jennifer was very responsive and helpful! Location is fantastic. Easy to walk to cafes, restaurants, bookstore.

This is a perfect example of why this website beats out hotels. Friendly helpful hosts, homey interior, beautiful surroundings, and even some breakfast food? If you can stay here, do it.
