Beachfront vacation rentals in Kennebec River

We loved staying at Scott’s place as it was walkable to so many great spots Portland has to offer. The neighborhood was beautiful with a lot of people out walking their dogs and enjoying the fall weather. We felt very at home and the space was perfect for the 4 of us and our two Frenchies. The beds and bedding were very comfy and the lighten had everything we needed! The only things that we think others would want you to know is the entry is on the side of the house, not the front. The listing mentioned flags neat entry but there were no flags which made it a little confusing. Also, the bathroom door doesn’t latch all the way so there is a bit of space where you can see in. We used a the toilet paper holder to keep the door fully closed while in use. A simple door stop to use from the inside would be a simple fix. Again, we loved the space and would recommend to anyone wanting the perfect stay in Portland.

Great house for large family. Lots of games and entertainment inside, and plenty of outdoor activities for both kids and adults. The covered hot tub was a big hit as well! Julie provides a great house manual with all of the necessary info, as well as recommendations and tips for local restaurants, entertainment, etc. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Our stay at Laurel Shore Cottage was just what we needed. The location was serene - and we spent most afternoons and evenings sitting on the porch soaking in the beautiful landscape and scenery. The cottage itself was uncluttered and comfortable and the host was very responsive.

What an amazing setting! Right on the water. We saw seals, osprey, and, we think, an eagle.Also the most beautiful sunrise. The house is cozy and comfortable and really really clean. We found everything we needed and some thoughtful extras. Tamara is an excellent host!

Absolutely loved our stay at this lake cabin! It's nestled right on the water, making it a perfect spot for peaceful mornings and unbeatable fishing. The sunsets over the lake are absolutely stunning — a real highlight of the trip. The cabin itself has a rustic charm, filled with unique vintage touches that make it feel cozy and full of character. It's quiet, far enough from the city to truly relax, but still conveniently close to town if you need anything. A wonderful place to unwind and make lasting memories with family. Can't wait to come back!

Beautiful property, peaceful, lovely charm and lake side decor!! Your booklet was awesome. We didn’t need to utilize all of your offered household necessities but well thought out and planned. Awesome to have LOTS of extra towels, the shower curtain slightly a PIA as it leaks onto the floor but hey it works!!! The added option of cable TV is a nice touch most air b n b’s don’t offer that option!! The barn shutters on the windows so pretty, provides black out for ideal sleeping in!! All in all the cookies were an added to die for extra sweet bonus!!! Thank YOU for sharing your slice of paradise.

As mentioned before this home was enchanting. My only regret was I didn't reserve for longer. Every room had a view of the sea. We took advantage of that and spent a few evenings sitting at the picnic table dining and BBQing. The most relaxing time we have all had in a very long time. Many thanks Caitlin. I had an absolutely magical stay at Camp Moonbud. It was just me but I could have fit the family. For starters, it’s on a beautiful lake. The house is cozy and lovingly decorated, high-end linens, well stocked kitchen, and spotlessly clean. They didn’t miss a thing. I was the last visitor of the season and the chill was setting in, mist coming up off the lake in the mornings, and the most beautiful evening sunsets. I can imagine what a joy it must be to be here in the height of summer. The camp is located near to great hiking (I hiked), good food (I ate), and not far from Midcoast or Portland. The proprietors – Amy and Dana - are unmatched. They are responsive and warm and engaged Mainers; they picked up a grocery order for me because I was getting in late the first night, left treats for my morning breakfast, and even invited me to join their Sunday morning running gang! Huge bonus. Left Readfield with a couple of new friends! Highly recommend this gem.

Our stay at the beach house was great! You couldn't be closer to the water! So much fun kayaking, floating and swimming in the lake! House is much better than the pictures do it justice. For a 2 bedroom house its very big and spacious, beds were extremely comfortable. The no wifi was a little bit of a downer but there were plenty of board games to play. There is some street noise but not bad at all. Would most definitely recommend if you are looking for waterfront property. The access to the resort pool was a plus too for the kiddos!

Nice private area, close by to a few small-towns for groceries, gas, etc. Property was very scenic and often only sounds that could be heard were birds. Slept 5 comfortably and never felt crowded. 10/10

A few times while wandering around midcoast Maine in late March, we were asked if this is when we usually came to vacation here. Yes, we are educators from the Southwest, and this was our spring break, so this is when we came to visit, but honestly, it is so peaceful this time of year. Especially Boothbay Harbor, and what we imagined while walking around the very quiet town would be a very different place in July! Our experience at Abby’s space was absolutely wonderful and serene in the spring. The thoughtful touches (thank you for the bottle of Maine wine and jar of blueberry jelly!) made it even more special. Thank you, we hope to be back one day.

Beautiful view of lake. Close to Saddleback for skiing. Very clean room and comfortable, nice linens. Jonathan and Lisa are very friendly and gracious hosts and made coffee for us every day. Wonderful fireplace. This was one of the most pleasant and relaxing airbnb finds we have ever experienced, and we would like to come back in the summer for hiking or next winter for skiing.

This charming cottage in a picture-perfect setting will take you back in time to Maine of the 1920’s. You can relax near the water on the dock, sit up on the deck and watch for bald eagles, tuck yourself away in the cozy, sheltered dining area on the porch, or relax by the fire in the living room. We can’t wait to go back!

If you like waking up and looking out to Beautiful Sebago Lake, listening to the boats go by and sitting with nature this house is for you!!! Jessica and Adam's home is perfect for a family getaway! Our stay here was amazing, the house is adorable and the views are stunning. The pool was the perfect temperature and the whole family was in the pool every day, plus the views from the pool were pretty remarkable. Sherri was a great host and super communicative and helpful. The house is set up perfectly for a large group with cute little restaurants a short car ride or boat ride away. We will definitely be back!

I stayed at Mark and Mary's lake house for three days together with my parents, my four kids and some extended family. We had a truly lovely stay. The house was beautiful, the lake peaceful, and Mark and Mary's hospitality was second to none. They were very responsive to every question/request, super helpful and and hospitable. I'd return for another stay without hesitation.

My husband and I spent 6 days here for our anniversary. I wanted a location on the water and close to visit all the major coastal towns in Maine. This was perfect! The home, felt like home, and everything was clean and beautiful. Adam was very helpful whenever I had any questions. Sipping coffee every morning on the back porch and watching the sunrise over the lake was so peaceful. Grocery store close by and great hiking/walking areas right out the front door. Can’t wait to come back and bring the family.

Darcey was always responsive and honest about the cottage and location. The cottage was updated while still maintaining the rustic and original feel. All appliances worked and there were plenty of water craft to keep us occupied.

The house is stunning. I stayed here for a work trip. The location and the ambience were perfect to get my work done. I wish I had more time to explore the beach area. But my booking coincided with a lovely snow fall. The house is very cozy. The hosts were very responsive to all of my questions. The interior decor is lovely. And I slept really well on the master bedroom bed. I’d love to know the brand the mattress is. Thank you so much. I look forward to returning on a leisure trip when the weather is warmer. But the snow is absolutely lovely.

This was such a treasure of a stay and one of the best trips I've had in a long time, thanks to the joys of this beautiful home. It's located along the coast and near the adorable town of Camden, Maine, which we also fell in love with. As soon as you see this house, you will fall in love and walking in the front door to the view of the bay beyond the windows is an experience. The house had everything we needed and more, the beds were very comfortable, the fireplace was easy to use and such a treat, and the kitchen was well-stocked and more spacious than the photos make it seem. Tobias was a fantastic remote host, providing all sorts of recommendations and checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. They ensured our walk was shoveled immediately after a heavy snow and their family who owns the cooking school next door even offered us a tour during their off-season break. I cannot wait to come back with my mother and sisters.

We were there in October for a wedding. It's not the typical time to be at the Lake but we loved the house. It's a beautiful cozy house with a bonus suite in the backyard. There's a firepit. the kitchen and living room are spacious and modern. The bedrooms and beds are very comfortable. I've stayed in some camps in Maine that are pretty spartan. This is not your old school camp. It's a lovely house. A great place for family or friends to gather at the lake. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had an unforgettable stay at this charming oceanfront cottage! From watching bald eagles soar overhead to seeing seals swim by, the wildlife alone made it an incredible experience. On one particularly clear night, we were even lucky enough to catch the northern lights—truly magical! We also took advantage of the fully stocked kitchen. We were able to cook fresh lobster outside, which tasted even better with the stunning 180-degree ocean views as our backdrop. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood on a quaint island road, this home is the perfect getaway. The bright and open kitchen flows seamlessly into a cozy living room that leads to a large deck. We were treated to breathtaking sunrises from the living room each morning—a truly spectacular way to start the day.
