Vacation rentals with lake access in Kemijärvi

Our stay at Tarja and Scott’s house was one of the best adventures of our lives. Even before the trip, they were very kind and helpful. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and had everything we needed. The house was cozy and warm, with plenty of firewood. There is also a beautiful kota near the house where we could cook on the fire and watch the northern lights. We were lucky to see the aurora five nights in a row. Scott also gave us great advice about hiking and kindly let us stay a bit longer on our last day. Before we left, we had a nice talk and learned more about his life. We will always remember this peaceful place by the lake and hope to return one day. :)

Unser Aufenthalt in diesem wunderschönen Haus war einfach unvergesslich! Die Lage am Fluss war absolut atemberaubend und die Aussicht auf die Natur rundum ließ uns jeden Tag aufs Neue staunen. Ein ganz besonderes Highlight war der Abend, an dem wir die Polarlichter direkt über dem Haus und dem angrenzenden Fluss sehen konnten – ein Anblick, den man wohl nur selten im Leben erlebt! Es war ein magischer Moment, den wir nie vergessen werden. Die Umgebung war unglaublich ruhig und privat – perfekt, um wirklich abzuschalten und die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Für uns war es die perfekte Auszeit, fernab vom hektischen Alltag. Die Fahrt zur nächsten Stadt und Einkaufsmöglichkeit dauert zwar etwa eine halbe Stunde, aber das war für uns überhaupt kein Problem, denn es hat sich absolut gelohnt, in dieser idyllischen Lage zu wohnen. Ein Auto ist hier definitiv notwendig, um die Region bequem zu erkunden. Alles in allem war es eine traumhafte Woche, die wir in vollen Zügen genossen haben.

Juhas Villa is one of the best accommodations i‘ve been to during all my Journeys. It‘s located very beautiful and private near a huge lake. The Villa is spacious and equipped very well. It‘s 30 minutes from Ranua by car away. So it’s a good Place to visit for example the Ranua Wildlife Park. We also Went to Korouoma Canyon from Juhas Villa. It’s easy to get to the Villa by car, Even in Winter when the streets are a Little Snowy. We (5 people) have been there in March with a rentalcar. Juha is so friendly, Helpful and polite! He Went icefishing with us on the lake and offered us warm Drinks and Snacks. The best things of the Villa were the Sauna, the whirlpool and spotting the polarlights out of the livingroom. I can absolutely recommend Juhas Villa and I‘d love to come back, maybe in Summer next time! Everything was Perfect, thank you!

Miia is a great host. She is super helpful and help us a lot before we arrive Rovaniemi. The house is such a beautiful place to stay, be it the house environment or their surrounding area. It is too big for 4 of us but we did enjoyed it due to great location in front of the lake. We experienced Northern Light just in front of the balcony. Very recommended to stay! Worth it! The stay was amazing! Jyry was extremely helpful and responsive the entire time. The home was very clean and very nice. The surroundings were beautiful, and we got some great views of the northern lights from here. Was definitely worth it to stay here

Good location, nice ambient

We were a group of 6 adults, and we all fitted very nicely in this wonderful cabin next to the lake. The silence of the forest was at times solely interrupted by the chirping of the birds. We felt right at home in the cabin, which was equipped with all we needed. For instance, the cabin had lot of amenities to cook, and towels and linens were available as nicely described. Within drivable distance from Rovaniemi, it was the perfect choice to spend time in the Finnish nature. The fireplace next to the lake and the private sauna made our stay unique. We highly recommend this place for medium sized groups who enjoy outdoors and having privacy and alternate the visit to Rovaniemi attractions with calmness and slow paced life of Finnish mökki. We had no troubles in driving with a van through the muddy road that runs through the hill and forest to reach the cabin in spring time. Thank you so much for the lovely stay!

Das Haus ist außergewöhnlich, wunderschön und direkt am See gelegen. Die Einrichtung ist natürlich, modern und mit viel Holz; wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an sehr wohl gefühlt. Zu beachten ist die sehr abgeschiedene Lage; die nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeit (Supermarkt) ist ca. 15 Fahrminuten entfernt. Aber mit entsprechender Planung ist auch das kein Problem. Wir haben die ruhige idyllische Lage sehr genossen.

Je mets 5 étoiles parce que je ne peux pas mettre 6 mais ça les vaut largement ! Notre séjour chez Eija a été exceptionnel, elle est très accueillante et son logement est tout simplement fabuleux. La propreté est irréprochable, tout y est pensé et bien pensé. Eija a le soucis de chaque détail pour rendre le séjour de ses hôtes parfait et c’est réussi. Nous voyageons partout dans le monde et nous avons rarement trouvé un endroit comme celui ci. La vue et l’accès sur le lac sont un atout majeur. Nous aurions aimé rester encore et encore.

Le logement est vraiment plus grand en vrai ! La vue est magnifique nous avons pu apercevoir quelques aurores boréales le 31! Arto est très réactif ! Je recommande ☺️

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Nicholas. L’accueil et les instructions étaient très clairs. L’appartement était très chaleureux et fonctionnel, nous nous y sommes très bien sentis. Le sauna est un véritable atout que nous avons beaucoup apprécié. Nous recommandons sans hésiter Nicholas et son appartement pour découvrir Rovaniemi et ses environs.

Siisti ja toimiva asunto! Keittiöstä löytyi se mitä tarvittiin. Vauvallekin oli omat petivaatteet :) yhteydenpito todella helppoa, voin suositella!

Esperienza fatta ad inizio Aprile 2025, Merja è stata una persona fantastica ancor prima di conoscerla di persona perché mi ha scritto prima di arrivare, è stata molto cordiale e gentile, mi sarebbe persino venuta a prendere in aeroporto. La camera stupenda con vista sul lago ghiacciato ci ha permesso di ammirare la splendida aurora boreale. Pulizia massima e struttura calda e da un senso di relax. Inoltre è vicinissima al centro città e a tutte le attività oltre che ai vari servizi. Se potessi mettere 6 stelle le metterei e consiglierei l’appartamento a chiunque. C’è veramente tutto e anche il prezzo è giusto per quello che offre. Consiglio vivamente a chiunque. Grazie Merja se dovessi tornare a Rovaniemi tornerei da te!

Mon conjoint et moi avons passé un superbe séjour sur place que ce soit l'accueil par son mari fort sympathique, l'environnement calme avec en prime, les écureuils et oiseaux qui venaient tout les matins devant la fenêtre, les aurores boréales sur le lac juste derrière. Allé le seul hic c'est peut être le lit un peu petit et le sauna qu'on a pas réussi à faire fonctionner, mais cela ne nous a pas empêché de passer un très bon moment sur place, la région est magnifique et calme, nous recommandons l'endroit et reviendrons avec grand plaisir! ENCORE MERCI POUR L ACEUIL

Wir haben uns sehr wohl in der Unterkunft gefühlt! Es waren sehr ruhige und angenehme Tage, perfekt zum komplett ausschalten und einfach sein. Jenny war sehr hilfsbereit und hat immer schnell und präzise auf unsere Nachrichten geantwortet! Vielen Dank!

We had an amazing time in this cozy and well-equipped cabin. The host was extremely friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home right away. They were always available and helped us with every question we had, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay. The cabin offers a great selection of sports equipment, including snowshoes and sleds—perfect for outdoor adventures. The breathtaking nature surrounding the cabin made our stay even more special. We especially loved the stunning view of the frozen lake and the beautiful snow-covered forests, which created a magical winter wonderland. The neighbors were incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming, adding to the warm atmosphere. This place is safe, family-friendly, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. We truly felt comfortable and would love to come back!

Wir waren begeistert, hätten sogar unser Hotel im Anschluss gecancelt, um im Haus zu bleiben, wenn es möglich gewesen wäre. Das sagt doch eigentlich alles!! Zwei Punkte sollte man jedoch wissen: Für diese Unterkunft braucht man ein Auto. Die Badezimmer Situation ist im Inserat nicht genau beschrieben. Es gibt ein WC mit Waschbecken im Hauptteil des Gebäudes. Im direkt angeschlossenen Nebengebäude, Zugang überdacht 3 m, befindet sich eine großzügige Sauna. Hier gibt es eine Duscharmatur, wo man duschen kann. Geht super und ist gut zu nutzen. Wäre nur gut es zu wissen. Die Beschreibung ist dort etwas ungenau. Das Haus ist ein Traum, wir haben uns sehr gut erholt und die Landschaft sehr genossen . Johannes war schnell erreichbar. Er hat uns gebeten, die Schlüssel in seinem Büro abzuholen; dadurch, dass wir einen Mietwagen hatten, war es kein Problem. Resümee: Tolles Haus, Super stylisch, sehr gute Ausstattung, Mega Lage direkt am See.

Oikein ihana mökki rauhallisella sijainnilla. Tänne tulisin uudelleen mieluusti.

Mökki Mourujärvellä oli juuri sitä mitä minä ja 2 poikaani sekä koira kaipasi. mukava pikkumökki kauniilla järvinäköalalla rauhallisella sijainnilla. Löytyipä järvestä kalaakin syötäväksi,tai ainakin haukea. Itse uskon vielä palaavani koko pesueen voimin samaiseen kohteeseen. yleisarviono,perussiisti mukava pikkumökki,ei luxusta jos sitä kaipaa vaan perin suomalainen punainen tupa🔥👌 Jatkoon siis kyllä

Wir hatten 3 sehr schöne Tage in der Hütte. Es war wunderbar ruhig und idyllisch. Besonders die Sauna und der Hot Tub haben uns gefallen. Die Kommunikation war sehr schnell und unkompliziert. Wir würden jederzeit gerne wieder kommen.
