The Butlers Quarters is a charming, well equipped and cosy self-contained flat attached to a grand Victorian family home. This was once where the house staff lived! It's within walking distance of the city, parks and countryside, with Derby's historic Cathedral Quarter and the Darley Abbey World Heritage site on the doorstep. The accommodation is ideal for couples, solo/business travellers as well as families. We are within easy reach of the fantastic Peak District National Park.

Duffield home in beautiful setting

You’ll love my place because it’s 5 mins walk to the centre of Duffield with its pubs & shops & 10 min train or bus into Derby or Matlock. A 30 min drive to Ashbourne & Wirksworth. The house is being renovated so is a little hectic but these rooms are in a separate annex & although not perfect are comfy. Its good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families &pets. We have a dog, cat & children & welcome those with or without.

The warmest of welcomes to a beautiful chocolate box cottage nestled in a stunning, peaceful location. Had the bonus of the spring lambs for neighbours and luckily great weather. The cottage has everything you need, private with easy parking. The log fire added to the ambience which took the nip off the cooler spring evenings. Cynthia and David are perfect hosts and make sure you are looked after. A wonderful time was had by all. Can’t wait to visit again.

We were staying for a nearby festival and could not have wanted for anything more in a place to stay. A lovely breakfast was provided including home-made bread for toast, fruit and all the things to make it a home from home. The rooms were private, immaculately clean and the bed very comfy after a hard day on our feet. Check-in and check-out were simple and painless, even though we arrived late in the evening. All in all excellent, we will definitely be coming back to stay again!

John was an exceptional host from the word go. The house is so beautiful clean all the linen and utensils top quality.I enjoyed using the wonderful kitchen. It is near bus routes so easy to get around .The garden is so restful the birds sing all day I would strongly recommend this house to anyone We absolutely enjoyed our stay Thankyou John for everything

Zena is a lovely host and made us feel very welcome. She was kind enough to make us breakfast in the morning which set us up perfectly for our day at a festival. We enjoyed the conversation over breakfast and Zena gave us privacy at the right times as well. The house and garden are lovely and have all the facilities you would need. If we are in the area we would definitely stay again.

Chestnuts Barn in Holbrook provided an excellent base for our Peak District stay. We were within close enough reach of famous ‘hotspots’ like Bakewell (just under an hours drive), picturesque Peak District walks and plenty of walks locally without having to take the car out. The pub is within walking distance, with nice outdoor area and good food. The barn itself was comfortable for a family of 4 (2 adults, a teen and a pre-teen) and a dog!! Good and clean amenities within the property, and well stocked kitchen. The welcome basket was a lovely touch, along with a file with useful information about the barn utilities and local area. We’ve really enjoyed our stay- thank you.
