Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Kalyves

We stayed at Katerina's apartment on the last days of October. The apartment is 5 minutes away from the center of Rethymno with very easy access. Big plus the surrounding parking space (very important when it comes to Rethymno!!!). In addition, access to the highway is particularly easy. The area is quiet and very close there is a supermarket . The apartment is exactly as shown in the photos - pleasant, clean and fully equipped. Katerina made sure to equip it to us both with food items but also with the requirements of the bathroom (toothbrushes, toothpaste, body soap, etc.) but also to see us off with a bottle of raki and pomegranates. I particularly note that my dog (half-breed labrador - ~ 25 kg) was welcome to the space and enjoyed the relaxing stay with us as well. Katerina is very kind as a host and we'll choose to go back next time. Thank you so much Katerina.

We felt very comfortable in the stone, small summer house. We loved the courtyard covered by an old vine. In the evening you could illuminate it comfortably and beautifully. We were pleased that there were all the necessary spices in the kitchen and a bottle of red wine was on the table to welcome you. The location in a quiet side street but still only 2 minutes walk from the beach and the old village center of Colombia is ideal. The handover and communication with Dimitrios was very nice and straightforward. We are happy to recommend the place! We felt very comfortable in the small stone summer house. The courtyard covered by an old vine was very charming. In the evening, it was cozy and beautifully lit. We were pleased that all the necessary spices were available in the kitchen and a bottle of red wine was on the table to welcome us. A truly incredible and special place to stay. The home is beautiful, spacious, and filled with art. The outdoor patio is filled with lush plants and offers a lovely space to sit. The location is perfect, very close to the port yet tucked away from the hustle and bustle. We can not speak highly enough of Valia. She made us feel instantly welcome; was very responsive and provided us with helpful information; and ensured the space has everything you may need. It was truly a privilege to have had the opportunity to stay at this beautiful house during our time in Chania. Thank you Valia for everything!

What a wonderful stay! Fantastic location right next to the Chania Venetian Harbour, steps away from everything the city has to offer. The place was well appointed with all the necessary amenities. The beds and pillows were especially comfortable. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit!

A charming old house well restored, full of soul and charm and very pleasant to live in to discover La Canee and the west of Crete. With a real plus, Michalis's kindness and availability, always ready to do a favor, answer a question or advise. And among his very good advice, I remember the Sandbar, its very pleasant coffee facing the sea

The place is even better than the pictures. So spacious, great design, beds were very comfortable. Eva was great! She saved us a parking spot, gave us a bottle of wine and was sooo nice! It’s in the middle of everything and very quiet at night. Highly recommend this place!

The house is in a great location in a quiet village. It is an ideal place to get quiet from the city's noise. A stone house from an earlier era that has, of course, been renovated but at the same time has kept the character of an old village house. Mr. Frantzeskakis was very helpful and friendly. Thanks for all! Until we meet again!

Had a great stay in Almyrida. The village was perfect for a stay with young children - shallow sandy beach, shop, restaurants (one of them even had a kids play area). The beach is mostly occupied by sunbeds from beach-front restaurants so you either have to pay €10 or carry your own (but it's probably 5-10 mins walk so a bit cumbersome). It is about 40 mins driving from Chania airport. We took a taxi on our way there which was €60, but it's probably better to hire a car straight away (which we did for the way back). Radu was going to help us with rental, but unfortunately let us know last minute he didn't have the children's seats that we needed. In the end we got a car rental locally for a better price. The house was good, had everything we needed. Nicely decorated. Three AC units were fantastic, definitely needed beginning of July. I would say more attention could be paid to cleanliness as there were dusty areas in the house and wrappers/rubbish under beds. Very quiet area.

We had an amazing time at this air bnb. It was our first time in Crete and we had the feeling the location was good for exploring the island. The airbnb was exactly how it is on the photos. It had everything we needed. The bed was ultra comfy. Best night sleep in a long time. Apostolis was a great host! He was very quick in answering questions and giving good Tipps for hikes and restaurants. We definitely recommend this place and would book again.

Perfect location! Walking distance to restaurants, shopping, beach and more. Very safe and quiet, yet steps away from everything that you might need.

Very nice house with its private pool, garden and the view to Kournas lake. The house was spotless, everything super clean and with all we need to feel at home (kitchen, games, pool inflatables…). There is a garage for the car. Our host Eleftheria is super nice, very responsive, with good advices and very kind.

fantastic house in a great little village. The view from property is amazing, especially from the upstairs bedrooms. The house had basically everything we needed and a few taverns within walking distance offering great food as well. we had an amazing week exploring the area and enjoying the sunshine.

We had a wonderful stay at Aggeliki’s place as a group of 6 women. The 3 bedroom villa we stayed in was spectacular with wonderful views and the shared pool area was beautiful. Our host helped us make arrangements for a private chef (which was unreal) and a boat trip, as well as all taxi’s / transfers. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay and we would recommend this place to everyone :)

Spacious and pleasant accommodation, the rooftop pool offers amazing views of the sea and mountains surrounding the accommodation. Be careful though, nothing is close on foot, you have to take the car to go to a restaurant, supermarket or go to the beach. If you're looking for tranquility, this is the place for you.

We stayed as a family of four for a week. The villa consisted a main floor with a modern, clean and well equipped kitchen, a comfortable sitting/dining room with lovely views over souda bay and towards chania. A large jacuzzi bath was also off the sitting area. The rest of this floor was three bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with a shower/ tub combo and the other a wetroom style. A further bedroom/ shower room was on the floor below via an outside staircase as well as a well equiped gym. The outside area was expansive and enough for our boys to run around. The villa also had a number of indoor and outdoor games for the boys to enjoy. But a lot of our time was spent in the heated pool! Overall, we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The villa was very clean, comfortable with stunning hilltop views. The location was close to the airport, local resturants and shops and we had food delivered to us a number of times. A special point was the kindness and helpfulness of our hosts, thank you!

Niki is a lovely host, happy to help with anything and very friendly. The home is nice, cool during the hot days and in good location near the beach and supermarket. I would stay there again!

Unforgettable stay at Giannis villa at Kampoi. Spacious villa equipped with all necessities to have a hassle free holiday. A well decorated villa and super clean kichen and bed room. The villa is located in mountains with fantastic views to the White Mountains. Quiet area and we loved to walk and explore the surrounding and even offered a cup of coffee by kind neighbors. There is a top rated family restaurant nearby just eight minutes downhill. There is also a winary in just five minutes of drive downhill where you can taste different wines and treats while looking at breathtaking mountain views. I will definitely recommend this beautiful place to my friends and colleagues. Thank you very much Giannis.

A very nice place to stay. Especially quiet in the preseason. Large outdoor space for your own use and drinking coffee directly by the sea😊. The interior is spacious, so you can feel comfortable indoors even in cooler temperatures. Communication great, fast and very friendly. Thanks Nikos! Excellent. The Monastery is the perfect example of contemporary architecture and interior design. The proportions and visibility lines appear to be expertly planned and cleverly designed to guarantee peace, privacy and comfort from the heat of the day. Even more important though, is how friendly the staff were. We were made to feel welcome from the very moment we parked the car, and the staff could not have been more helpful. In particular, Meggie and Georgia went out of their way to help us. All of the staff were great though. The food was excellent, and the views spectacular. This part of Crete is incredibly beautiful and given the friendliness and style of The Monastery, we will certainly return.

Maria is an excellent host. I arrived to this experience by hasard and I enjoyed so much. Maria was very supportive about check-in time and even at the end of our trip gave us a lift to the airport. Her car is robust and trustable and the option to camp allowed us to enjoy Crete of an unique way. Thank you very much for everything Maria and I hope we see you again in the future.
