Family-friendly vacation rentals in Kakovatos

I’ve been renting on Airbnb for about a decade now, and this is one of the greatest places I’ve ever stayed yet. It’s such a good value for the privacy, beautiful furnishings, and amazing backyard with that view. Spyridoula is impeccable at her job without ever seeming overbearing. She had the most thoughtful gifts for us and was able to answer any questions or tackle our requests easily. We loved the massages she arranged for us so much that we asked her to schedule another round, which she was able to accommodate no problem. While it was just two of us, this place can easily fit 8 comfortably. Waking up each morning in the room with the panoramic windows was magical. The housekeeping and grounds staff were discreet and did their work flawlessly. Every taverna we tried nearby was delicious (highly recommend Dopia’s for homestyle food and Da Camillo for pizza). This villa with such a high level of service and comfort was the highlight of our honeymoon- thank you again!

We spend an excellent week at Villa Kitrini. Heidi and Patrick the owners are very nice hosts and the communication was very smooth. The villa offers all the equipement necessary and has a splendid view on the olive trees and the sea. The pool was also very much appreciated. For us, Villa Kitrini was a very good base to discover all the beautiful places and activities the region has to offer.

This house was very easy to find with great free parking and easy to get in and out of the building with the keys. The house itself is absolutely stunning, the pictures do not do it justice. Very roomy and spacious living room, well stocked kitchen, 2 bath rooms, washer and dryer and 3 bedrooms with 4 beds. Could easily sleep many many people. The balcony had a lovely view of the marina and many restaurants to choose from in the area, one even right downstairs. This is a gem, and anyone who stays here is lucky to do so. We didn’t want to leave.

This was our fave Airbnb ever as a family! It was exactly what we needed. Peaceful, beautiful view, we could hear and see the sea from the porches. We made good use of the private beach with chairs and umbrellas just a few steps away from the house, but we mostly used the pool in our backyard. The temperature was perfect. We’ve never stayed at a place that provided a stocked kitchen (eggs, milk, cheese, fresh bread). We would absolutely stay here again!

Anyone can create a stay for airbnb. The point is that few combine the excellent space with personal passion and Yannis is really one of them. The house was perfect and much better than the photos. It is the ideal place for families with children as the lawn-maintained outdoor space shows that Yannis has not left anything to chance. The space is level with no stairs and completely safe for children. The interior has no furniture with dangerous corners and the kitchen area is tall for the data of a child 3-4 years old so there is no access to plates glasses knives, etc., making the kitchen very safe. Yannis is friendly, communicative and completely discreet. He will help you and will gladly inform you and show a person who does not chore. Both he and his wife Lily have built a space that exceeds expectations and makes you feel lucky to have chosen him

Fantastic experience at this location, the host were easy to communicate with and the rental was just as advertised, we had a wonderful time. They did little things that really stood out for us who travel the world a lot like having aluminum foil and Saran wrap, having Tupperware we could use and an ice pack in the freezer . We cook a lot when we travel and having a functioning kitchen is very important and they definitely had that. The gift of bananas and apples were quite tasty. there is even a nice chilled bottle of Chardonnay on the table waiting for us, but we don't drink. The dog and cats were very friendly and made our stay even more enjoyable. Perfect distance to the city and then away from all the noise. Don't forget to look for the sunset around evening time because it's quite beautiful. If we ever find ourselves on the west coast of Greece again you can believe that we will definitely rent from these guys again.

Very good stay experience. The house like the photos, the garden big and perfect for our dog. The area very close to Vytina and Levidi. Nice relaxing and quiet. Yannis was direct in communication and very helpful. Of course it is recommended.

If I could, I would give Soula and the location of their house 6 stars. Soula greeted us kindly, with gifts and homemade food in the fridge. The location of the house was exactly like that, we wished it: very private,right on a beautiful beach with open terrace. We were surprised by the number of rooms - the photos in the ad suggest that there are several bedrooms: The children's room is a bunk bed above the parent bed (in this room is the only air conditioning), another is in the kitchen and the fourth on the terrace.. no problem for us,but just not as expected. The kitchen is well equipped and you will find everything you need if you want to take care of yourself. As for cleanliness, don't look so closely. In any case we would come back!!

We had a lovely stay at Anna's: very well located house 3 minutes from several beaches, superb garden to rest. The language barrier has complicated communication a little complicated but Anna is charming A house worth recommending!

Lovely house with a huge garden right next to the beach and within walking distance to a couple of tavernas. It was just 3 of us, but I think the house could easily accommodate 5-6 people.

The house is a beautiful 200-year-old stone-built building that perfectly preserves the external features of its time, while inside it is fully renovated, comfortable and modern. It is located in a quiet area, surrounded by nature – ideal for relaxation and disconnection. Sarantos was extremely friendly, willing and direct in everything we needed, while he provided us with all the necessary information for our stay. We will definitely choose it again in the future! A great place where I spent a quiet night. 15min walk to the city center and not far from the exit of the city. Maria was very responsive! I highly recommend it!

The property is in a quiet environment the bedrooms are very comfortable, a prominent advantage that the pool is built inside the house and can be used in any weather and prevents the entry of insects. The space is not large but gives value and pampering.

We had an amazing stay. We had the ground floor apartment of a three storey property where Stathis family resides- even though this was the case, we had our own privacy to the grounds and the pool. The family were extremely lovely and we hardly saw them. The property was spotless and the grounds were extremely beautiful and peaceful with the fruit and herb trees surrounding the property. The kids had a great time in the pool. We loved our stay and we loved Kalamata!

A cute little apartment with beautiful panoramic views of Navarino Bay. Matches the description in every way, good hospitality. Very good wifi (living room, terrace), except in the bedroom where it is more capricious. The pool is very nice (unheated). The surroundings are beautiful, both from a seaside point of view and for the historical sites to visit.

Thank you so much, Bernadette and Rod, for great hosting! The experience was beyond all our expectations! The cabin is very clean and equipped with everything you need and beyond. The place is kid-friendly, Bernadette provides some toys games, and movies for the kids, as well as great sea wheels, to enjoy within the pool. The pool is clean and access to it is not easy for toddlers so it is safe. The view is stunning. From one side you get to see the mountains while from the other side you can see the sea. The cabin is in a rural and secluded place so it's just your quiet and great nature. The hosts give self-produced olive oil that upgrades every meal and salad you make. In addition, there are grapes growing up in the yard you can pick and eat. Bernadette and Rod are super nice and friendly. Thank you for a great experience!

Hans and effervescent Matina were very welcoming. This is their summer home which they stay in when not rented out, therefore it feels well cared for and comfortable . They provided us with olive oil produced from their own olive grove, a lovely bottle of wine, bread, honey, eggs, and other "essentials". Hans was on tap whenever you needed him and gave great tips on the local beaches, countryside etc. Thoroughly recommended.

What a wonderful place with great hosts! The location is amazing with beautiful views of the bay. At night it was so peaceful that we could hear the wildlife. Fiona and Dimitris are lovely hosts, always responsive, and so helpful, which made us feel at home straight away. The local village is only 5mins by car, with lovely restaurants right at the beach. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our time at Vasilis’s home. The outdoor space was fantastic for children - playhouse and slide, kids pool, lots of floaties, and the grill and kitchen were perfect for outside dining. Music outside was great! Inside, everything was very comfortable and the fruit, veggies and other grocery items were appreciated. Vasilis brought us a baby bed and chair as soon as we asked for it. He was an excellent host. We had a fun time at the Caribbean Beach Bar. Beach is rocks, but good music and drinks. We also enjoyed a couple dinners at To Pareaki tis..Argo on the water in Petalidi. Fabulous seafood. All in all, we had a wonderful family stay and would gladly come back. Thank you!

Our week at Constadina’s place was a dream come true — maybe our favorite AirBnB stay ever. This was our first time in Greece and our first stay on our trip. We immediately felt ourselves welcomed into and immersed in the “real Greece.” The location on the sea was amazing. I half expected Odysseus to come sailing by. The region is stunningly beautiful! Constadina’s place was a perfect base for exploring the western Peloponnese, including archaeological sites like Olympia, breathtaking beaches like Voidokilla, and charming towns like Pyros. The unit itself was spotless and was comfortable in every way. Constadina herself is a truly exceptional host. Every recommendation she made, be it a taverna, a particular town, or a site to visit, was 5-star amazing. She made us feel like family. This feeling of connection was perhaps the most wonderful aspect of our visit. Those seeking glitz should go to Mykonos. Those seeking an authentic experience could not do better than this glorious place.
