Vacation rentals with lake access in Kainuu

Our holiday in Lehtikerp was idyllic and we had a great time. It's like a hidden gem. The house, sauna building, and surrounding milieu were all unique, which brought a fabulous ambiance. Everything worked well, there was plenty of room for a larger group, and Kari was a great host. We can recommend Lehtikerppu to others in need of the Kainuu region as well. You won't go into this place with love!

Sanni’s place made us feel at home but a far from everyone at the same time. We wish we could’ve stayed longer! The place matched the description for sure but being there made us feel serene, safe and natural. It’s the place you’ve been longing for; being back home with someone you love, happy to see them be back, while being eager to lay in the couch after relaxing together in a nice place. The sauna, the lake, the cottage, it was unforgettable. Thanks for having us!

We spent over a week at Andre's place and it's a true winter paradise! House is super cozy and warm. Kitchen has everything you may need. Beach sauna and hot tub were a heaven after a cold, snowy day outside. We also were very lucky to see the most bright, beautiful and strong aurora just above the house, that made our stay very special. Andre was very helpful and responsive ❤️

We had an incredible stay at Esko’s place! The location is absolutely stunning, right by the lake, offering breathtaking views and the perfect setting for relaxation. Esko recommended fishing, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience for us. The surroundings are incredibly quiet, providing the most peaceful nights we’ve ever had—ideal for a good night’s sleep. The house itself is cozy and felt just like home. When we arrived, the house was already warm and welcoming, which we deeply appreciated. The location is also very convenient, with close proximity to larger cities like Rovaniemi, Oulu, and Kajaani. It’s also near ski resorts. Having sauna is amazing A short drive away, the town of Puolanka offers everything you might need. Additionally, there’s excellent connectivity in the area, so we had no issues accessing mobile internet during our stay. We highly recommend Esko’s place for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat. We had a wonderful stay at Lisa's place. Her place was very spacious - more than enough space for my wife and I - and based right next to a beautiful lake in a peaceful neighbourhood. BEST OF THE BEST! Tero is your perfect host, he is friendly, respectful, and so helpful. Minor hiccups during our stay were quickly fixed. Always a pleasure to chat with Tero and to learn about the Finnish culture in that part of Finland. We loved our stay and are looking forward to coming back in the summer!

We skied to Vuokatti.. The accommodation was easily accessible to well-kept ski slopes in many directions. This time, skiing, dining, and rest took most of the time. A home in a great location when you want to enjoy Kainuuan nature all year round.

Peaceful atmosphere in a cozy cottage. Amazing nature in the surroundings.

Very comfortable and neatly sized place to stay for two. It heats up a lot when you can warm it up. A lot like that doesn't warm up in an instant, so it's a good idea to book 3-5 hours to warm up in the spring, and 5-10 hives. A big recommendation for this place!

We spent a nice couple of days at the cottage. Swim, sauna, and moved nearby. The cottage was close to the driveway, but the sounds of traffic didn't bother you. The neighboring cottage is also very close and the residents were there, but it wasn't a disturbance in any way. Unfortunately, the dock wasn't in place, which made it difficult to carry water to the sauna and swim, but it didn't make it impossible. The sleeping loft mattresses could use a revamp.

The cottage was very cozy, clean, and tidy. Highly recommended. Communication was effortless, Ella is very friendly and helpful. This is where I'll stay again.
