This house is located right next to the Hirtenturm, only 3.5 meters wide at the front, in an alley below the Blankenheim Castle. At the back, with a width of around 12 meters, the building is not located on the Ahr, but on the Ahr spring that rises below the cellar. At night it is absolutely quiet, with the windows open you can hear the splashing of the Ahr spring.
