Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Johnson County

We had a family gathering and found this home a lovely place to meet. The common areas were large and comfortable for our family of 11 adults and a few local family members who joined us for the day.

Beautiful place, just as described. Kitchen was well stocked with amenities to cook. Extremely clean.

Our stay was absolutely fabulous! I’ve stayed at dozens of Airbnb’s and can confidently say that Richard’s place is one of the cleanest. The home is stunning, with so many large windows overlooking the water. The pictures truly don’t do it justice. We’re already planning 2 stays there over the summer.

If I could give it more the 5 stars, I would! Beautiful, cozy home. Fully stocked kitchen, games, movies, etc. Sheri was so helpful and made us feel appreciated and accommodated. Will definitely be back!

Bradley’s house was the perfect little getaway. We loved the view of the sunrise and the peacefulness of the location. The deck was beautiful. The house was in a good location for hiking trails in Shawnee National Park.

We appreciate the close proximity to our family gathering as well as gas stations, restaurants, and grocery stores. The washer and dryer in the unit were very helpful. The kitchen is stocked with plates, glasses, and cookware, which made it nice to not have to eat out the whole time we were there. Comfortable bed and sofa, I would highly recommend.

Amy’s place was WONDERFUL!! It was one of the nicest Airbnb’s that I have stayed at. It was exactly as described and then some. It was exceptionally clean and well stocked with anything that you might need. Amy is an exceptional host and very responsive. I travel to Paducah several times a year and will definitely be booking again. Thank you Amy for a pleasant stay!

For the price, we felt this was a clean and perfect place for us, close to SIU. We were visiting our son for the weekend. The walls are quite thin, so noises from the other two units were not buffered at all, but it wasn't really a problem for us. Travis was very responsive to our questions and needs. A/C and heat are controlled remotely, which wasn't explained ahead of time, but he gave us access, so that worked out great. We would stay here again if we visit SIU again.

Nice big place loved the space and the master bedroom very cool . Bed was comfortable. Downtown area is beautiful. I would definitely stay again . Host was easy to get ahold of and attentive. We will be back for another stay . Bonus had my son’s favorite book Goodnight Moon . Loved all the other books and games provided as well. Nice touch

This was the most comfortable airbnb I've stayed at in awhile. Homey, clean and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for walking around Paducah's charming historic downtown.

I loved it here! It was clean and comfortable, and a great location in the downtown area. Lots of restaurants/shops within a 5-10 minute walk. Allyson and Pat were both very pleasant and quick to respond if anything came up. I would definitely recommend staying here. :)

Bethy’s home came as advertised. Peaceful, quiet and rustic. Very clean. Everything you need to enjoy Carbondale. Close to town, yet out in the country.

we stayed here to look at houses in the area. the house was awesome, beautiful views of the lake. host was very responsive and even gave us suggestions for our house hunt. very flexible on our check out time. I would highly recommend!!

Beautiful condo in a perfect location in this wonderful and special small town. Beautifully decorated, extremely plush and plentiful towels. We particularly appreciated the extra touches including snacks and beverages. The host was extremely responsive and instructions were clear and complete. We loved this place.

The loft was such a cute and nice place. It was furnished well and was very comfortable. Great location and close to restaurants downtown. We plan on staying again.

Michael is a friendly, helpful, and responsive host. Check-in was easy and we were able to park near the door. The place was warm and inviting and clean when we arrived. Beds and linens were sooo comfy. We had everything we needed and it’s super close to downtown and eating places. Great location! The host even had some bottled waters and breakfast bars waiting for us which helped us get off to a great start. I did see in another review that there isn’t a curtain for the window on the door, so I came prepared for that. Overall, a great place. Will definitely stay again if I’m ever back in town.

We enjoyed our stay! Very nice condo in a great location. Paducah is our favorite little town for a weekend getaway and we will definitely stay here again!
