We are 5 minute drive from the airport, and guests can enjoy Alaskan wilderness right from this space. A forested trail system lies right behind our house for walking and biking. Guests may collect eggs from our chickens, use our forest-side hot tub, stoke the firepit, or use the canoe at Sand Lake.

Spacious, convenient MIL w/Yard near Airport

We have a private 1,500 square foot, 2BR apartment (the bottom half of our house) with a bathroom, kitchen, and laundry room in a single-family home in south Anchorage. The downstairs of our home is a completely separate space that is used as a tutoring center during the school year. The unit has its own separate entrance, with plenty of parking. We have a large landscaped backyard. We have 2 lazy golden retrievers that also live on the property.

Behind your interior “front door” is your Queen bed; TV room; kitchenette; and bathroom with tiled walk-in shower and the best backside feature ever: heated bidet toilet. I live and work upstairs. There's plenty of space for all.

Sheila was a fabulous host! We stayed at her house for just under two weeks and didn’t want to leave. Her niece was in town visiting and the two of them were so kind to my husband and I! They answered any questions we had and helped us with anything we needed. Sheila made us feel right at home and talking to the two of them was like talking with family. Sheila provided us with very clear instructions and had everything labeled that we would need to access, including the light switches (which was very helpful!). Her home made us feel at home and really helped to make our trip so enjoyable. If Sheila’s home is available for your trip dates, I would strongly recommend staying with her! Thank you for everything, Sheila! :)

Felt so welcoming once stepped into the house and it’s so clean. Friendly host! Very responsive. Perfect place to kick off the Alaska trip! I would come back again.

The room was exactly as described. Host was very responsive. Easy to follow instructions on checking in.
