We stayed at this beautiful home and couldn’t have asked for a better getaway. The house was spotless, cozy, and beautifully decorated — every detail was thoughtfully done. It’s incredibly quiet and peaceful, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The host was beyond responsive and helpful, answering every question promptly and making us feel truly welcome. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests’ experience. We’ve stayed in many places, but this one stands out. We can’t recommend it highly enough — everything was perfect!

I would recommend this home greatly. We were on a girls weekend. We enjoyed the home the surroundings and the peacefulness. It’s in a beautiful setting close to many great restaurants and wineries. The beds were comfortable and the homeless clean. Should we ever find ourselves that way again we’ve already decided we would stay here.

Magic Mountain Retreat - Mountain View, EV charger

AlyssaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This is by far the best Airbnb experience I’ve had yet. Rana was extremely welcoming and responsive. We even left items and she messaged me to let me know and arranged to get them back to me. The home is immaculate, beautiful, charming, and had even more room than we anticipated. It was a perfect place for family dinner and game nights. I grew up in this area, so coming back is always fun, in addition to the handful of need to do things, like Creekside Market, Berkeley Springs State Park, Cacapon State Park, Lot 12 restaurant, The Naked Olive…. We had 8 people in our party and we were more than comfortable. I will 100% come back here!!

We had a wonderful family reunion here with 3 generations. Each family had their own private space but there was tons to do on the property together as well. The hosts were very responsive to our questions and made sure we were comfortable and happy! We appreciated that the kitchen was well stocked, too.

Relaxing Aldie Retreat, with Fireplaces and Pool

PaulaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We traveled to the area to attend a golf tournament - we stayed for four nights. The property is gorgeous! I always try to rent properties with a fenced in backyard but there were no neighbors anywhere in sight and the backyard was HUGE so my dog didn't wander at all. We saw lots of wildlife - beautiful inquisitive deer and turkeys. The home was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything I needed to cook dinner. I especially loved the stovetop and oven and huge SubZero fridge/freezer. My only complaint was pics of the pool show a spa that is part of the pool - we have stayed in plenty of Airbnbs with pools like this and the spa should have been operational but we were informed that it was not. "Hot tub" was not advertised but in my experience a hot tub is stand alone from the pool which is what I have at home. Spas that are part of a pool should be able to be turned on when in use. Portoro Homes replied quickly when we inquired - however we were disappointed.

Autumn Wings - wifi, screen porch, pool access

Jennifer And SteveRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Although our stay was short, it was just the change of scenery we needed! The community is so quiet and feels secluded — a great escape from the city! We enjoyed being tucked in the woods with the remnants of fall foliage around us. Yet the property is just a short distance from downtown Berkeley Springs and Cacapon State Park and other things to do. We especially appreciated the great setup for kids. Our rambunctious toddler stayed busy on a rainy day by cooking in the play kitchen and reading books. He also loved riding in the push-car on the deck!

Shenandoah River House Retreat

MarciRating, 5 stars2 days ago
What a wonderful place! It was so peaceful, loved being so close to the river! They have fishing equipment, kayaks, and tubes but we didn’t have a ton of experience so per Becky’s suggestion we just used the provided life jackets to float about half a mile to the best stopping point and walked back and honestly had the best time! The house itself is so cute and unique as well, loved having the fenced in front yard for the pups! It’s also pretty close to Harper’s Ferry and other cute little towns, I think it’s the perfect location 😊 Becky has also been the best host, she was such a delight to talk to and had really great suggestions for things to do! There was some inclement weather before our check in date and she kept us up to date on how high the river was to make sure it was safe for us to go which I really really appreciated! 15/10 would recommend!

Exclusive Wooded Chalet w/ Magnificent River Views

ArianeRating, 5 stars4 days ago
This was a beautiful home for a long weekend! It was very clean and the deck was amazing at all times. Kitchen had everything we needed and there was plenty of space for our group of 7 to eat and cook together. We don’t have a 4wd, and the driveway was totally fine in the summer, although I’m not so sure we would have made it if there was ice or snow.

Laurel Cottage in Heart of Harpers Ferry

Laurel’s cottage was clean, beautiful, peaceful, and the perfect place to stay for a weekend in Harpers Ferry. The house is spacious and beautifully decorated — we felt right at home. Laurel is so nice and friendly, and she gave us great recommendations for things to do in town. The beds and couches are insanely comfortable, and the whole place was so cozy. We loved sitting on the porch, watching the deer, and listening to the rain roll in. I would absolutely stay here again!

We had a stellar time! The location makes everything so easy with the trip. Only thing to be aware of is the train. My husband slept through it, but I was up every two hours the first night. I didn't hear it the second night though (a Sunday night).

The house is modern, in excellent condition and located in a beautiful area. Large front and back yards ideal for dog walking (not fenced). GPS was vital but we always had a good signal to get home on the winding roads. Kim/Jonathan gave great advance communications and were prompt to reply to a couple of questions while we were there. We love how everything is the house is clearly labeled so you're not wasting time opening drawers, etc. Both TV worked great. Harpers Ferry and Charles Town are both around 15 minutes drive. Tons of eating options and great scenery.

Romantic & Charming Home w/foosball walk downtown

BrianRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Very enjoyable stay! Convenient location. Friendly fire department let my son tour the garage. The Barn across the street was great for live music. Only drawback was we could not figure out how to work the air conditioning systems. They all have to be on the same a/c setting (cool, heat, etc), but they didn’t seem to maintain the set temperature. Fortunately we only really needed heat for one night (in May), but were able to survive without it.

The photos don't do this place justice! Absolutely beautiful home, spotlessly clean, and great utilization of space. My kids loved watching the fireflies from the porch, and were super excited when they saw deer on the street outside. We walked from the home to downtown Harper's Ferry, and had a great lunch and an even better ice cream. I only wish I could have stayed longer!

1970s ‘Modpod’ in Harpers Ferry WV

PatriciaRating, 5 stars6 months ago
My husband and I were looking for a peaceful place for Thanksgiving, away from the noise of the city and specifically for a house with a piano, since he likes to play classical music. This place had everything and a lot more. The pictures are accurate. We had fun playing ping pong. The kitchen was fully equipped. We loved the vintage décor particularly of the elephant-themed room with wicker furniture where we had coffee and hot chocolate. While my husband played the piano, I would be in the TV room watching Netflix movies, reading or just doing nothing. I went out to the deck to take a video of the flock of birds flying over the river (so beautiful!) Glancing into the calming river through the windows was so relaxing! It was cold outside, so we mostly stayed in, but drove by Harper’s Ferry and stopped by in Sheperdstown to have brunch. All in all, the perfect vacation! 100% recommended! The communication with Liz was smooth and she provided all the information that we needed.
