Cottage vacation rentals in Jefferson County

Our family of four had a wonderful time at Ana's home in Front Royal. We were looking for a place with above-average amenities, close proximity to Shenandoah National Park, and a bit of privacy — this home delivered all of that and more. From the comfy beds and well-appointed kitchen to the lovely porch we enjoyed throughout the day, the home met all of our needs. We even took a day trip to visit Monticello and the UVA campus, which were both easily accessible from the house. If we return to the area, this is definitely where we’d stay again.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. It’s walkable distance to downtown. The backyard is amazing and huge. Hot tub was great. The way she catered to the dogs was actually what won us over… a dog bed, towels, little treats. As dog lovers, you don’t see that much anymore with Airbnb but this place had it all don’t hesitate! There’s nowhere where we’re staying other than this when we come to Berkeley ❤️

We truly enjoy our 2+ week stay in Linden! The house was perfect for our family - including 3 teenagers! They loved the basement game room giving us the extra space we needed to stretch out. The beds were super comfy. The neighbor hood is convenient to main highways making getting around a breeze. We loved sitting on the front deck drinking coffee and watching the deer. Our dogs Also approve! Thank you Robert for your hospitality!!

This place is absolutely beautiful! It was impeccably clean and offered stunning views! The night was wonderfully quiet, making it feel like we were in our own serene world. The layout of the space is amazing, and to top it off, there’s a delightful winery “Firefly” just a short 20-foot walk away! The hot tub was the perfect addition, providing a relaxing way to unwind while enjoying the views. We couldn't have asked for a better stay!

So comfy and clean! Stayed for a few nights with some friends to forget about life for awhile. Easy walk to town, awesome hot tub on the deck and the grill works great. We left recharged and will def be back!

**Million Dollar Views** Peaceful, tranquil retreat** FOXY was the perfect space to allow us to unwind for a quiet get-a- way! We loved every second of sitting on the patio taking in the peaceful sounds & tranquil blue skyline. Gillian was a great host & her sense of humor was easily seen in “the little things” around the house (ie decor, guidebook, and more.) This made us feel right at home! If you’re considering FOXY, do it!!!!

Had a lovely weekend in VA at Dollys place, and at a really great price. The house was very charming, though very clearly older, but everything about it was within what I consider normal expectations with an older home out in this area. We really enjoyed spending time in the backyard, which was fenced in and had a charming fire pit and table. Our dogs and kids alike took advantage of the ample room for activities back there! Dolly and her husband were very responsive and easy to reach and talk to. Would recommend for a weekend getaway!

We loved staying at the lakefront property. The weather didn't allow us to spend much time in the amazing outdoor spaces at the home, so we will be back in warmee weather. The house was so comfortable and the view was amazing. We had everything we needed for a cozy mountain weekend away. We will definitely be back!

Lovely cottage! Perfect place for a busy mom to relax and recharge after the holidays. I am keeping this one on my favorites list for next time I need a get away, would love to come back. I felt well taken care of--like I was in a friend's home. Sitting on the couch with a cup of tea and reading a book was great, especially after a morning at the spa. Aaaaahhhh.

I love the peace and tranquillity at Jens place! I brought my teenage grandson along for a trip to the country and some time for us to connect away from it all. We spent time doing one of the puzzles at the house and relaxing. It was amazing to see him let down the “teenage edge” in the cozy atmosphere her cottage provides. While out and about one evening we stumbled upon what is an annual Christmas Tree lighting in the town square of Greencastle. What an experience! If you need to unwind and let go of the crazy world, look no further. Jen is an excellent host and her getaway will remain at the top of my list.

We had a wonderful stay! The property was a great deal and exactly what we were looking for — peaceful, private, and secluded without being too far from everything. The location was perfect for a relaxing getaway. The host was incredibly friendly, responsive, and proactive, which made the whole experience even better. The listing description was accurate, everything was spotlessly clean, the AC worked perfectly, and check-in was super easy. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable place to stay!

My horse is staying in Middleburg for a little bit and this location was ideal for being able to come visit. Great value, felt right at home and Will was a very responsive host. Anyone that might be coming to down for Upperville or Loudoun horse shows that are right down the road, this is an IDEAL place to stay.

Beautiful place In a great location.

Secluded location, nice, quiet and peaceful. There is one house next door but didn’t see or hear anyone the entire time. The property is surrounded by woods and a large creek down below out the back. I have a real Service Dog, Malinois/Lab mix who is also off leash trained and I was able to let her enjoy being a dog for a while roaming the property and woods. The only negative is the lack of window coverings in the bedroom/bath room. To compensate we left the outside lights on at night which worked well to allay our fears. The house was very clean and all of the appliances are quite new and worked very well. The house heater is excellent, the shower has water pressure and hot water for days! The internet and TV worked extremely well and there is good cell phone signal. The road is gravel so a very low clearance sports car might have trouble so don’t bring your Corvette!! The house is less than 10 minutes to downtown Middleburg and has a small Safeway. All in all a great experience.

Mark’s place was perfect! It was just what our family of four needed for a last-minute getaway. The house is beautiful and unique and we appreciated the basket of goodies. Location’s convenient to Harper’s Ferry, Charles Town, Frederick, Shepherdstown. My husband loved the sauna! Mark was super kind and responsive. We had a wonderful stay!

Our family enjoyed our stay the Mountain Mama property. Communication was great from booking through checkout. The house was big enough for our family of 7 to spread out nicely. There were plenty of books and games to entertain our kiddos. Enjoying the fireplace while watching a family movie was perfect for a cold weekend.

Clean and spacious home in the mountains! It was perfect for our family of five. Our kids loved sleeping in the bunk beds and hanging out in the lower level of the home. We enjoyed using the hot tub and the fire pit outside to make s’mores at night. We spent a lot of time in Harpers Ferry nearby, walked the trails, and drove out to Washington DC one day during our trip. The owners did an excellent job with communication and we appreciated all of the recommendations they provided. We had a great time!

Perfect stay. The kitchen and bathroom are unparalleled -- well equipped, impeccably clean, elegantly designed. The location offers easy access to attractions and thoroughfares yet is still quiet with a lovely deck.

We loved our stay at the cabin! It was exactly what we imagined and more. Our puppy LOVED the back yard and going for walks in the neighborhood. We loved checking out the few restaurants across the street and had a fun evening at the Barn. We will be back!

My best friend and I chose Jennifer’s home for a weekend girls’ weekend. From the moment we booked, Jennifer was responsive and super friendly, ready with recommendations for wineries and restaurants nearby. This continued throughout our stay — she even offered an earlier check-in and later check-out, which was so appreciated! Her place is legit even better than the photos and description. We felt instantly welcomed and comfortable. While we definitely enjoyed the peaceful location and proximity to local wineries and charming historic Hillsboro and Purcellville, I truly think the best part was the super positive vibe of the home and our host and how that allowed us to really relax and enjoy ourselves. Hands down the best air bnb experience I’ve had. We’ve already talked about coming back and making this an annual tradition. We loved our stay at the Carrot Top Cottage. It’s in a perfect location making everything so accessible. The cottage was peaceful & well kept. We couldn’t have asked for a better place during our visit to Harper’s Ferry. We also enjoyed all the recommendations in Bryan & Cathy’s guidebook. Would definitely recommend others to stay here!

Two couples so having the carriage house, bed and bath, was great. First day we walked Harpers Ferry - what beautiful scenery. The 2nd day we drove to Gettysburg (1 hr) and that was impressive. Wish we had planned a 3rd day as many recommended a visit to Antietam. Maybe next time. The home was very clean and well appointed. Bryan & Cathy rate very high on the host scale.

I went to Virginia for something else, but Bridget's cottage alone is worth the trip. The house is cozy and located on Bridget's beautiful farm. The house has everything you could need for an extended stay and you'll feel right at home. The air is fresh and you are surrounded by green rolling hills and enchanting farms. Bridget is a down-to-earth, friendly and kind host who will make sure you know where everything is and can give you recommendations for how to spend your time.
