Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Jefferson County

We stayed at here with some friends while in town for a wedding. It was the perfect place to relax and hang out in our down time. The place was very cute and clean! Definitely one of our top BnB experiences.

This is our third stay! We stayed in the colder months and couldn’t wait to stay in June. It rained Friday night but that did not dampen our spirits as we sat under the pavilion and had a great fire going! Saturday was a gorgeous day! We cooked steaks and veggies, another great fire! We told Randy how clean this farmhouse always is, that is so important to us. Randy gave us the history of the farm, he is third generation and is very proud of his piece of land!!! We had coffee on the back deck, I have the Merlin bird app and tracked 12 different birds! Had a bunny friend eating clover by the front door. No deer 🦌 sightings which we had hoped to see. We are going to plan a stay in October, that is how much we love it here! If you want peace and to relax, this farmhouse is the place to do it!

Beautiful setting even in the winter. Well stocked kitchen. The mudroom was very helpful. Ample TVs and places to relax- internet was great. Great communication with host, very responsive to any needs or questions.

This was our second booking at Mary’s Estate. We had such a nice time during our first stay (September2024) that everyone in our party wanted to go back. We live in Illinois but my Dad is from the area so we have many relatives living nearby, so the location and the size of the house is perfect. Our party of 12 stayed for a week. We had plenty of room to spread out but also lots of room to cook and enjoy meals together. I loved sitting out on the patio in the sunshine during the day and then seeing deer out in the yard in the evenings. Everyone had a great time and we plan on booking again next year. Josh is a wonderful host. He made us feel right at home, once again….

The home is convenient to Brookville and the host is very responsive. Small touches like having seasonings for cooking, butter, and condiments are appreciated. Would recommend this home. The only notes are to be aware that it is in the country so wifi can be spotty and there isn’t a washer/dryer.

My fiancé and I just had an incredible weekend at Carrie’s home! Carrie was so friendly and even offered an early check in and late check out since there was no one coming in today so we could truly make the most of the weekend! She gave us a tour of the property and showed us how to work all of the amenities, dropped off a lighter and some cardboard for the fire pit, offered side by side rides around the property, and offered allergy medicine when my fiancé realized he had forgotten his! The house was impeccably clean, beautifully furnished and decorated, and was so comfortable to stay in! The bathroom was so nice and we loved the design of the kitchen! Outdoors was an incredible hot tub, a beautiful fire pit setting complete with firewood, and a nicely furnished gazebo that was perfect to play cards in when the rain came through! Not only would we stay here again, we will be staying here again, and we even joked about how much it would be to just rent and move in full time!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful country Airbnb! Nestled by a peaceful pond, the setting was serene and perfect for relaxing. Our dogs had plenty of space to explore. The highlight was the incredible stargazing at night—clear skies and no light pollution made it unforgettable. Highly recommend for nature lovers and pet owners alike!

Such a beautiful space for our family to get together and make memories. The beds were so comfortable and the ability to fit our family in with extra room was so wonderful. Debra was kind and extremely responsive. Luigi’s family restaurant was a great selection; thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay at Brittany's place. It was very clean and the original Victorian touches were beautiful. It was perfect for our weekend stay in Dubois, with great proximity to everything in town.

The place was a lovely and super peaceful stay. Quiet neighborhood with a nice background noise of wind chimes, noticeably fresh air, and overall very relaxing. I would love to see it again, perfect stay.

loved this space. would absolutely book here again. we had apartment 5. very quiet. softest sheets ever! bed comfortable. slept well. great communication with host. highly recommend.

Perfect place for 1-2 people. Super close to town. Security if being able to use the garage to store my car. Thoughtful items left from the host for my use (coffee, spices, waters, toiletries, etc.). Will definitely use again in the future!
