There is no words for how amazing this property was- truly a hidden gem! All the attention to detail, every space had everything you could need or imagine from umbrellas to fire wood and a fully stocked kitchen. The water is beautifully clear and there was lots of wildlife to look and admire. The property is incredibly private and provided the perfect getaway for a peaceful weekend.

Had a wonderful time at Liza's place. She was such a gracious host. From the thoughtful snacks she left for us upon arrival to the huge library she invited us to use. The amenities were fantastic including the hot tub that was easy to use. We really enjoyed this peaceful respite and look forward to coming back soon.

Really lovely place in Cowichan Valley. Jane was a lovely and kind host. The place was exactly as shown/described, with a well stocked kitchen and a comfortable bed. Would stay here again when we're back in Duncan!

We loved staying here. The house is great. The front porch, the side deck with grill and sun chairs and outdoor dining is great. The dock on the water is fabulous. Any specific questions or issues were addressed immediately. Its a really lovely spot. You can't do better on Shawnigan Lake!

Our first visit to Vancouver Island and our family of four really enjoyed our stay at Tina’s Airbnb. Quick access to Sooke town centre and amenities. But also great location for exploring the Juan de Fuca trail system as well as East Sooke trails. Tina was a very responsive and gracious host! We will be back next spring for sure.

Sean and Katy’s place is absolutely beautiful and they are such kind and lovely people. There were 5 of us and we had ample space to rest and work and enjoy the quirks of this historic house and its surrounding. The proximity of the lake and private dock mean you feel totally immersed in nature- we watched the sunrise most mornings and listened to the birds, as well as doing some swimming even though it was late September! Everything that you might need has been thought of and Sean and Katy were on hand whenever we had any questions. What a magical place. We really hope to come again. Thank you!

This cabin was so dreamy! On our drive in, we spotted a beautiful gray fox and a few deer. The forest surrounding the cabin is just beautiful. The cabin had everything we needed. I thought I wouldn’t like to walk to the bath house, but honestly I thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s only a short walk, and it gives you multiple chances to spot wildlife. The bath house is clean and has everything you need. I especially enjoyed the French press coffee and slow mornings reading in the cabin

Cozy private space in a safe and nice neighbourhood, close to a trail to walk the dog. Stay can be a bit on the noisier side with the highway on the other side of the bushes but did not bother us too much.

Wonderful getaway in gorgeous surroundings! We loved our three nights in late fall. We had a great view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the Olympics, access to inspiring beaches, and a lovely cozy warm private place to stay. We enjoyed cooking up a feast in the kitchen, watching football on the TV, reading by the gas fireplace, and sleeping like logs in the quiet and calming environment. Fresh eggs and a chorus of sea lions each morning, beautiful stars at night. All around wonderful.

Beautiful Getaway! Our family of 5 (2 adults, 5-year-old, 1-year-old, small dog) spent American Thanksgiving week at Carley's place on Pender Island and had an amazing and relaxing week of family time. The house is even more unique (in the best possible way) than the pictures show, the views are amazing, and the kids spent days just exploring the space. We hiked each day, explored the island, and enjoyed the sunsets and fireplace. The hosts are communicative, and the place has all the amenities you could need. 10/10 would recommend and hope to come back again!

Picturesque scenery and our kid loved the puppies, goats and sheep. Would recommend it to anyone who wishes to unwind and enjoy nature.

This was one of the best AirBnB’s we have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived we relaxed & felt right at home. Cozy log fires, sunlight, privacy, beautifully styled & everything we needed to cook up a feast. Thank you John & Melanie if only we lived closer we would make this an annual booking ☺️☺️☺️

This is an AMAZING place for a couple’s retreat! We felt so welcome and right at home during our stay! Louis and Tasha are wonderful hosts and they’ve put a lot of thought and care into creating a wonderful experience for their guests

This place was perfect for our family of four. we easily felt comfortable and at home. Clean and well maintained. Easy to get to. check-in and check out were easy. Felt very secure. The location is wonderful, incredibly walkable. Close to everything. Would not hesitate to stay again!

It’s a beautiful place with an incredible view . Paul is straightforward and proactive. It’s a good price compared to Poet’s Cover and right next to the ferry terminal. If you come here I hope the following tips help so you can prepare accordingly: 1. There are some flies and ants inside the cabin. 2. There are absolutely no food items here so bring it ALL down to salt and pepper to coffee to cooking oil to shampoo 3. It’s a tight layout I would say it could fit 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children comfortably. 4. The pool is seasonal- it’s not open all year round 5. The hot water tank is on its way out or it’s small. It didn’t bother us as it was just my husband and I . It would be an issue for those more than 2 who want to take a bath or shower back to back.

We had an amazing stay at Gramma Rikki’s beautiful home! It was perfect for our group of two families (4 adults + 3 young kids). The house was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed—from a well-equipped kitchen and cozy bedrooms to toys, books, and kid-friendly touches throughout. The huge yard, hot tub, and fresh-water pond were big hits, and the peaceful setting made it easy to relax. Gramma Rikki was incredibly warm and welcoming - an outstanding host. We’d absolutely come back again!

Agata’s place was so beautiful, in a great location and very comfortable to stay in! There was lots to do around the area and it felt very safe. It was very easy to check in, even when going with a vehicle and the instructions were super easy to follow. Agata also responded quickly to messages and made communication stress-free. Our stay here was truly amazing. We were in town for a family wedding which was fun but our stay at this beautiful oasis made it an even more memorable time. We loved all the various spaces available which provided ample space for all of our family (6 of us) to hang out together or just find a cozy space to read and relax. The home is very well appointed and stocked (kitchen supplies & equipment, toiletries, linens, towels) - everything you could think of needing was there. We were nervous about using the pizza oven but Louis and Tasha walked us through how to use it and our home made pizzas were a huge hit! The back yard was indeed a relaxing retreat with the waterfall and natural swim pond, including beautiful vegetation and flowers. The privacy of the space made you forget you were in the city! Our hosts definitely anticipated our every need. Pride of ownership was certainly evident. We highly recommend this to anyone looking for an amazing stay in Victoria!
