We are in the country next to a blacktop road.This is a very laidback place , there are farm animals across the road at our farm. This was my moms farm house and I just want people to enjoy it as much as she did. We are close to Kincaid Lake, the local winerie, the World Shooting Complex, and hiking trails (Piney Creek Revenue). Come and enjoy a day fishing or just sitting on the back deck enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Later build a fire and sit back and relax. Come and enjoy the country.

Our stay was just what we were looking for. It was a nice, cozy, quiet place for a getaway. Location was very close to Shawnee National Forest, and Giant City State Park. Amenities were great, and had everything we needed for cooking. The house was clean, tidy, and comfortable. Communication with the host was excellent!!

I hosted a slumber party for my 10 year old and 9 of her friends, THEY HAD AN ABSOLUTE BALL!! The second night, my husband, mother and 3 children enjoyed a night ourselves, and no one wanted to leave the next morning! This was a great spot in Carbondale near a lot of great spots to eat and spend time. The space and helpful instructions made us feel right at home. The backyard especially was lovely in the spring and the host left firewood to enjoy an evening fire pit. All the amenities were available and it was easy to check in and out. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we hope to return!

The Shawnee 360 Private View, Trail & Fish Pond!

Brigid and Hank were great hosts! They showed us how everything worked and then the place was ours for the weekend. A very nice country getaway with gorgeous views. The fish pond had catfish to feed and they had just added a fire pit which was perfect for nighttime. If you go in the colder months, I would suggest bringing a few extra heavy blankets as it got very cold at night! Also their German shepherd was so friendly and we loved hanging out with her during the day :)
