Vacation rentals with lake access in Isle of Lewis

We had a wonderful stay at Tern House - spacious, bright, clean and calming. We were a large group, travelling from all corners of the UK, and subsequently had 5 vehicles. We were contacted about this as the host saw us on the ring doorbell, stating their concern that the outside of the house looked like a car park. One of our guests brought two well behaved collies who didn’t step foot inside the property though this was also viewed on the camera and brought to our attention that the host was utilising their ability to observe our presence at the property. I do understand the need to ensure rules are followed, but we did feel a little monitored after being both called and emailed about the matter. Nevertheless we had a wonderful stay at Tern House. It was clean, bright, spacious and a beautiful spot to host a gathering of friends. It would be the hope that paying nearly £2k for an AirBnb would come with a level of trust that guests follow house rules, however.

We had an amazing time. What a gorgeous spot! Joseph's place had everything we needed, and he provided lots of local helpful information. We recommend a visit to the Russian Arctic Convoy Museum and Mellon Udrigle Beach!

We had a wonderful stay! The house has everything you and is vey clean. The views are beautiful. We enjoyed watching the sheep go by in their daily trek For the days you just want to relax there is an extensive library with something for everyone. We highly recommend!

Clean, spacious, warm and quiet home on a quiet residential road. The property overlooks a loch joining the sea and is great for calm and quiet. Mac was very responsive and we had no problems. We loved the space and it was a well equipped kitchen which is not always a given. WiFi was great if you need it and the heating etc was all straightforward and effective. Lovely having two bathrooms too. Near various historic sites. And also pretty beaches (20-30 mins drive), and a lovely play park if you have kids near Eoropie Beach.

We had a wonderful stay at Sarah’s place in Skye. We felt very at home and would never get bored of that view. My favourite spot was the extension with views over the bay, the perfect spot for a sunrise/sunset meditation. Skye is beautiful. We had a truly wonderful week. Thank you Sarah for being a great host. Highly recommended.

Ideal for us attending a wedding in Carloway Free Church and reception in Breasclete Community Centre. House was spotless and well equipped. Very generous welcome basket which included a wee gift for baby in our party so thank you for your thoughtfulness and a lovely stay.

An amazing place in such a beautiful location. Everything in our stay was perfect from start to finish and anything we needed from Fiona was provided straight away. Highly recommend this place and would love to return again.

Just as all the other reviews, Spoons was absolutely outstanding! Peaceful, comfortable, wonderfully decorated and had everything we could possibly need. Thoughtfil they included some snacks and starter foods which was so nice and appreciated since a store is not too close by It was perfect and anyone staying here will no doubt be just as delighted as we were. Thank you Doug & Kathleen for your hospitality!

The accommodation and surroundings were just perfect for those looking for the outdoor life. Whether you want to chill with beautiful views over Loch Ewe, walk, cycle or take advantage of the water. The house had everything you need and more and was within easy drives of the stunning west coast scenery.

Lovely little apartment behind the B&B, secluded and private but we were made to feel very welcome. Great facilities, enjoyed our stay here, particularly spotting rabbits in the garden, and the cosy living room fire.

We had a fab time here and in the Island. The weather wasn't great but the cottage was so comfortable and in such a lovely spot that it meant our week was fabtastic. We would love to return.

The place was perfect - quiet, well located to explore the best of the island, easy to find, very well equipped. Little touches made us feel welcome and made us feel at home. We then stayed on the Isle of Lewis in what was a higher spec property but it did not have those little touches that made us feel at home. Karen was very helpful and went out of her way to help. We would recommend her place to anyone.

What a gem. Our stay at 48 Ballalan was everything we hoped it would be - peaceful, relaxing, with beautiful views, and a very cosy atmosphere. The house has real character with the art, furniture, and furnishings all telling a thoughtful story. All too often an AirBnB lacks a decent selection of Karl Ove Knausgaard or Cy Twomby exhibition books, but not this time! Thank you Calum for a perfect stay - from the beach walks to the distillery visit we wouldn’t change a thing. Would love to come back again! Callum, Sofia and Aria

Perfect place for a family get together. Beautiful location. Good hosts. Clean and homely.

No 3 is a magic location with spectacular views, that change with the tide. The foot bridge below the house means easy access to the sandy bay; coming back at full tide was a fun challenge.

Probably the best place I can recall staying at in recent years, stunningly good both in terms of the place and the cottage itself. Just brilliant, did I mention the window? You could sit there and watch the world go by over the Loch and never need to do anything else!. The cottage itself is lovely, well laid out and comfortable with a good kitchen including decent pots/pans and kitchen tools. Duncan is a great host and genuinely nice guy who is interested in his guest but in no way intrusive. Can't recommend it enough.
