The place is beautiful! It is very tastefully decorated, everything is very clean and tidy. Concetta and Nicola are very attentive and caring hosts. We were greeted with fresh oranges and an extremely delicious dessert (baked by Concetta). The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful! The village is very picturesque on the slope and you will find a bakery and a small shop where you can find the essentials. You can also buy fruits,vegetables ,meat, cheese at the market on Sunday. Only the pub below the apartment was a bit noisy some evenings. But despite that we had a very nice stay ! Thank you Concetta & Nicloa!!

I have stayed at AirBnBs in more than a dozen towns in over half a dozen countries. My Calabrese and Sicilian hosts on this recent trip to Southern Italy have outshone the others. I was only in Sicily for a night, but spent weeks in Staletti, Calabria. Raffaele not only made me feel like a special guest, he treated me as a friend. By the time I left, he had introduced me to his father, his good friend living in London, an uncle with whom I played tennis, and the card playing regulars and owner of Bar Jolli, Peppe, and his brother, Salvatore. They were born in Calgary and spoke a little English so we had that Canadian connection. I came here by myself to work from home, escaping some of the Nova Scotia winter. It was kind of Raffa to make he feel like part of the community over the holiday season. I met Babbo Natale (Santa) in neighboring Sqillace, flew to Rome to see the Pope on Xmas Eve and Day, and Raffa invited me to see the Befana on the 5th before leaving town.#1 holiday ever!

My wife and I stayed in this cottage in the village of Isca sul Ionio from 1 to 10 September and despite the weather was not always favorable it was a good experience. The house is very nice, it has everything you need. The highlight is the terrace from which you can enjoy a beautiful view, you can see the sea that is about 4 km away. In the village there are no shops but just go down to Isca Marina to find them. The village is very characteristic and the inhabitants are very friendly. The location is strategic for visiting both beaches (Isca marina, Soverato, Riace, Caminia, Pietragrande...) and villages such as Badolato and Gerace. We were also in Tropea, which is about an hour and a half away from Isca. For those looking for tranquility and silence, this cottage is ideal.
